Amazing menu, extremely friendly staff, great ambiance, grilled cheese and soup to die for, I can go on and on about this place, beautiful view of the water and boat. It’s a perfect place for pets and children, and the doggies get treats from the staff… Very comforting environment.

Good Gluten free food is sometimes hard to come by. The GF Cheese and Rosemary biscuits are amazing! A little hard to find if you don’t follow the signs.

Healthy comfort food with a killer view! This is my new favorite business in Alameda. As a clinical nutritionist, I care a lot about the quality and health value of the food I eat. I am THRILLED to have Mosley’s so close to home! Since Mosley’s has whole food /organic /gluten-free options, I have been recommending it to my nutrition clients as a place to get delicious treats that don’t break the«food rules.» Mosley’s is proof that healthy food should taste great! Personally, I go out of my way to get the cheddar biscuit(gluten free, but my food-snob husband says he can barely tell the difference) with avocado and turkey. My husband(see food-snob reference above) RAVED about the regular(non-gluten free) grilled cheese sandwich, and I will tell you that he is not easy to please. We’ve brought out of town guests over to Mosley’s for great food and an unbeatable view of the estuary. My first time there, I pulled up to Grand Marina on a paddleboard and got to enjoy some hot comfort food after a 6 mile paddle from Mike’s in Ballena Bay. It was a great day!

What’s not to love about Mosley’s? Fantastic views, cool Grand Marina location(great for walking or biking to), warm and welcoming owner/staff, comfortable and cozy set-up(including sun awning and weather protected enclosure), delicious food, coffee & treats, but best of all — GLUTENFREE! What a lifesaver for my daughter to have so many tasty options all in one place. Fun morning and weekend hangout — try it, and you’ll become a regular…

Great food, perfect view overlooking the waterfront on the Estuary. Grilled sandwich and tomato bisque soup were very tasty and filling. Several cheese choices also. I was very impressed when she offered me a taste of the cheese before ordering. Very high quality. Owner is very friendly and professional. I will definitely be back! I highly recommend this place.

Time: 1:47pm/57°F partly cloudy Purpose: Just another day in office. Moseley’s is one of six places that needed to be stop by according to list sent weekly to me. Not every place on it, requires me to go. Set-up: Located at the end of Grand Harbor in Alameda estuary. This little place is nothing more than a two level shack like complex. It’s actually located on a small pier itself with place being a yacht sales, insurance office, and Moseley’s. You can’t see it, because its hidden in back side of building. Place has six round plush stool facing Brooklyn Basin where coast guard and law enforcement dock their maritime boats. Rest of place is consist of retractable awning, cast iron table set, recycled wood counter, utensil station, eco-friendly waste bins, blackboard menu, glass jar, plastic bin, fatigue mat, ham radio, supplies, tip jar, business card, iPad, bag coffee beans. It’s not a full service place everything is pretty much help yourself after payment. Eye poping view is the attraction here. Every now and then, a boat comes whizzing by or activities on board coast guard ship can be heard hundreds of yards away. Staff: Lady about mid 30s friendly and engaging. When I question her about offerings. She was cool and knowledgeable all business with a can do attitude. Told her to give me some time looking things over. Check my schedule for day and, it looks like clients won’t be feeding me. Went ahead and place order. Cleanliness: Grade A, inspection and score posted in plain sight(green card) pass. Since its small not being a full kitchen prepping place, it wasn’t messy. Eats/Drinks: Went with half sando & soup combo $ 8. Menu had listed choice of bread, cheese, meat, and fixings. I took turkey with everything on ciabatta roll. Sandwich was just average. Something I can throw together in 5 mins or less at home. Provided that everything I need is in place ready to go. Turkey wasn’t the baked on site deli sliced, but listed as Applegate(healthier processed) version. Another slice or two would be wonderful as bread to meat ratio wasn’t there. Ciabatta was fresh, but really dry and cold. Should’ve ask for it to be toasted and a splash of olive oil(my fault) there. Couldn’t taste the provolone cheese although it was included. Fixings were your standard lettuce, tomato, pickle, peppercinis, and mayo/mustard. Tomato bisque was hot as expected for soup. Was quite good with some purée pieces seen and tasted. Could be box soup with added ingredients. At some point, I dunk bread in soup to finish my sando. In the end, just a simple quick lunch away from the main drag of Alameda. Main Features: Soup & ½ sando combo, tomato bisque, Bicycle Coffee. Products/Services: Pastries/breads/rolls by Semifreddi’s, coffee by Bicycle Roasters, meat by Applegate, in-house GF pastries, muffins, scones, grilled cheese, croissant, crêpe, sandwich, muffin, biscuits, Mrs. Vicks chips, assorted cold/hot beverages, takes plastic, daily 7am-2pm, 10% grand opening special, free coffee on Mondays w/purchase before 10am. Punch Lines: Eye poping views, Brooklyn Basin, maritime theme, woman own and operated, seats are minimal, premium coffee, locally sourced as possible, yacht sales, pier shack setting, modest price, friendly, engaging, drool-worthy, laid back, calm vibe, light bites, can’t go wrong, casual and delicious, tucked away in Grand Harbor, outdoor setting, kept its standards, unpretentious, satisfactory. Tradeoffs: No full kitchen set up for more hot dishes like panini press or burgers/fries. Just electric range and simple store bought ingredients. Final Thoughts: I like the outdoor setting, its as close as you can get without getting wet or falling over, but yet be able to enjoy yourself with views. In a way very relaxing atmosphere. Not a bad place to be by yourself or perhaps small chats with a company. By no means saying clandestine, but you know what I mean. Rolling with 5 stars for friendly staff, locally sourced, eye poping view, and reasonable prices.

Mosley’s is a true«Diamond in the Rough» !!! You MUST check out Mosley’s Café — brand new — and set on a deck — literally-sticking-out-over the water of San Francisco Bay. I’m from Boston, just visiting Alameda for Thanksgiving — I heard RAVE reviews about Mosley’s Café and decided to try it on the day before returning to Boston. It was so good, I returned my last day at 2:15 pm for a farewell lunch — only to discover to my great disappointment that its hours are 7am to 2pm. And the wonderful view isn’t the best of it – the homemade foods and drinks are extraordinary !!! Such as: – Homemade Hot Dark Cocoa topped with homemade whipped cream ! – Freshly-made homemade hot banana walnut bread hot out of the oven !! – Homemade grilled cheese sandwich on homemade bread, with homemade tomato soup !!! JUSTLIKEMOMUSEDTOMAKEWHENWEWEREKIDSCOMINGHOMEFORLUNCH !!! And the Owner is and amazingly beautiful person. She looks and sounds like she just stepped out of a Buddhist Ashram — leaving you with the feeling of serenity in a very«Centered» person. It was truly a joy to share time with her in her Café, Although I am only in Alameda 2 or 3 time per year, I look forward to my return so I can again enjoy«MOSELY’S CAFE …

The best outdoor seating in Alameda(well at least tied for best with the bayfront views of Abigail’s Moroccan Cuisine) … on a dock over the water! Bicycle Coffee dark roast pour-over or french press — one of best cups of coffee in Alameda, especially when combined with the fresh air and good spirited people. Buckwheat savory and sweet crepes, fresh salads and soups, perfect artisan grilled cheese with avocado on sourdough, and other tasty meat sandwiches. They’re open every day early morning through lunch, but Mondays and Wednesdays talk to Carol Lynne there, she’s the rockin’est!

Lots of folks in the ‘Meda – especially those in and around Grand Marina – have been waiting eagerly for Mosley’s Café to open. The great news is it’s even better than we all hoped. I like to call it «enlightened» food and drink, which is what we’d expect from owner Cristin Shea, who many on the island know as a yoga instructor and all-around positive spirit. My first visit to Mosley’s involved a cup of dark roast pour-over Bicycle Coffee(perfect), a savory crêpe(delish), and lots of friendly camaraderie with others sharing this new secret spot. You can’t beat the setting, perched over the water like the deck of a boat… literally ON the estuary. Here’s to many years of success!

The ham and cheese croissant is amazing. Delicious and local Bicycle coffee you can get pour over, air press, or French press. I like the medium roast air press. Awesome location on the water. A little tricky to find. They are at the end of the pier below the Grand Marina harbor masters office.
