To better understand what happened you have to know that there is a barber shop located inside the back of this shoe store. I came here today for the second time I was very pleased with my first haircut that I even paid $ 30.00 for a regular cut. I don’t live in Alameda so I have to go out of my way to come here. I noticed right away that they had a cash only sign so I asked the guy at this shoe store where the closest Atm was and he pointed to the store right in front. I went to the store in front and the Atm was out of service so I walked a little bit further down to get to the next Atm. I walked back to the shop and the door was locked. I waited outside confused as it was still during working hours only 1230 and I saw the guy at the shoe store starring right at at me and he still didn’t open the door. Dude you knew I went to go get cash for my haircut, you saw me outside why the hell did you ignore me? I even waited outside on the bench and he didn’t open the door. I’m confused and disappointed my time is valuable and you completely wasted my time. I am also military and will let my coworkers in Alameda know what happened. You don’t deserve to be in business in Alameda, and unless you want to risk getting locked out during normal business hours don’t come here.

Not sure why people have posted negative reviews saying that PRSTG low-​balled them. I brought in about 10 pairs of shoes that I was expecting to sell via consignment, but they offered WAY more cash than I expected for them. They also do a great job of posting daily deals on their Instagram page. I’ll definitely be back any time I’m in the Bay.

2 out of the 3 times I came here it was closed, even though they said online that it would be open. When I finally was able to come by and have them look at my shoes they hella low balled me and I didn’t appreciate the attitude from the guys who worked there. Just seems like they aren’t very interested in helping the customers/​sellers or making a good name for themselves. Normally I love supporting small business’s but this palace is whack. Will not be back.

I love the weekly specials and all the steals, but the customer service is sadly horrible. I hope you guys can get that up.

Walked in didn’t get a greet or How may I help you. Simple, walked back into my car and drove off to Sole Supremacy. Ridiculous service.

PRSTG cheats people when you sell to them and their customer service has gotten worse every visit.

How many guys does it take to install a mirror? Something like FIFTY regardless of whether a cute girl *raises hand* (modesty, not my strongest virtue) just walked in to buy some kicks or not.
Still, this place has fair prices, clean shoes, and a nice cashier… But some customer acknowledgement would be nice. So that I’m not standing there feeling awkward for a good five minutes before someone speaks to me. It’s called customer service, boys.
Other than that, this spot is pretty cute. Although I’ve heard men don’t like the word cute.
So I take it back. This place is swaggy.

The guys here know everything and anything there is to know about shoes. Their display cases are fully stocked with shoes that are shrink-​wrapped to protect them from dust and sticky little fingers. If you’re looking to preserve your favorite pair, they can wrap them for 5 bucks!
There’s a small display for youth sizes but I’m sure they can check their inventory and you may be in luck.
