We’ve been working on a large home remodel project in Alameda for the past nine months and have visited Sherwin-Williams several times. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the store is very clean and organized, the location is great with plenty of free parking, and the color selections are fantastic!
My ONLY complaint about this location is that they don’t keep enough of the 5-gallon buckets in stock, so the finish selection for these larger buckets is always limited.
We’ll be back!

I haven’t written a review in years, but I hope someone will read this and be saved.
The staff here knows nothing about paint and will give you terrible advice.
First, I had an antique bed frame to paint for my two year old daughter. Three day project. After explaining my project with my toddler in tow, these idiots told me to use an outdoor paint, it would be most durable. Turns out outdoor paint contains a toxic mildewicide that off-gasses. Probably the worst choice in paint for a two year old’s bed.
At the same time, these idiots sold me their pro line for my cabinets. YOU DON’T NEED PRIMER, THE PRIMER IS ALREADY IN THE PAINT they assured me. Kitchen cabinets were a week long project. Guess who now needs to strip and repaint because the paint perks right off? (and yes, I sanded and cleaned with TSP).
I paid twice as much as home depot and learned from Google that all the advice they gave me was piss.
I feel like dragging these know nothing fools by the hair and making them strip and repaint it all.

The store is really nice, however the lady who helped us seemed very confused. We told her our account phone number slowly in 3−3−4 increments (IE 123−456−7890) and she said she couldn’t find us. Said our area code and it was not even the same numbers so we said the whole number again and as we said the next 3 numbers after the area code, I heard her mutter to herself 3 numbers again that were not the numbers we just said. And low and behold she could find us. And for the 3^rd time we went number by number and like 1−2−3−4−5−6−7−8−9−0. She finally found us and seemed mighty confused by the task.
