These guys really made paint buying a great experience-​ask for Darrell and Frederick. Outstanding customer service! And we appreciate their patience and help!

Really terrific and efficient young woman working here. She was cheerful, knowledgeable, eager to help, and really knew her stuff. She helped me select a color, figure out how to alter it, calculate how much I would need, and had time to smile in between. Kristin, I think. I hope her boss knows how great she is and pays her accordingly.

Most of the time when I go in there, the other customers are professional painters. I don’t often have to wait in line. This is important to me. They have my paint colors on file, so I can get the same colors again and again. They did a decent job of paint matching something I’d already had. We did do a verbal back and forth to make sure the color was just so. As a result of the careful negotiations, I was able to only use one coat of paint instead of multiple coats, because the match was so good.
My only beef (and it does not rate a — on stars) is that I wish they carried the consumer model Wagner «Sidekick» roller pump and accessories. OSH carries that, which means I need to wait in line with the rest of the weekend warriors.

My first impression… Super helpful and friendly staff. Clean and great natural lighting in the sample area… something that’s very important when choosing paint colors. I will follow-​up with a more complete review once I have more history with them.

This tiny store has big customer service! The staff is always eager to help. The manager exchanged a product for me, and the assistant manager helped me choose colors. It’s such a relief to have personalized service these days.

Don’t go here. Very overrated. Got color wrong 2 times on their own paint — I had all original formulas (from SW) for paint in my house, just wanted to get more paint to refresh the walls in living room and bedroom and paint a new color in 2^nd bedroom. Even though I had the formulas for 1gallon buckets and a new color I picked out for 2^nd bedroom (got sample size jar to pick out the color) SW used the wrong base paint and sheen which messed up the color for all my paint original paint, and couldn’t match the color of the sample jar paint (which I got from one of their color slides a day prior) in a gallon size. They refused to give money back and wanted to remix the paint. This time they avoided using their own color formula and tried to match their own colors via the color scanner tool. What the heck? The whole point of me Going to SW was so I could match the paint exactly to what the previous owner used — I had the cans and formulas!!! Finaly I got them to refund the money on one of the cans and somewhat match the other. I turned around took my refunded money to home depot, bought their most premium interior paint (Baer ultra plus with primer built in) which was cheaper than SW’s cheapest grade they gave me ($ 36). Color matched perfectly to SW sample jar and they worked with me on getting the base paint and sheen correct (match the original paint). I had to take time off work to go into SW twice to get the paint color fixed, both times failed (even for the slide color they had — couldn’t match the sample jar formula to the gallon size!!!). They close at 6pm which leaves no time for after work trip. Get your paint at Home Depot!!!

I hate this place. I occasionally have to go here to pick up specialty items that aren’t available elsewhere but I always dread it. The staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. There is one girl who is nice but not that knowledgeable. The rest of the staff take their cues from the manager who is just a nasty guy. Don’t make the mistake of walking up to the counter and thinking he will ring up your purchases. Even though he’s standing back there, he’s waaaay to important to take your money. I guess he’s got too much important manager stuff going on to help the customers.

This is our go-​to paint store! The manager, Chuey, is always welcoming and quick to fill orders! Samantha is such a sweetheart and fabulous at matching colors.
They have an excellent display and color selection area so I always feel comfortable sending clients in to look at colors. The store is always clean and well stocked. When I call in an order they have it filled on time.
The paint products themselves are top-​notch! They are excellently priced for such high quality; no need to spend an arm and a leg at one of the «Moore’s»! Keep a look– out for their sales too, best deal in town.

I’ve been at this place a few times and the manager Chuy gave me a great customer service, provide me with a lot of info about their products, at a GREAT! prices from now on they will have my business.

I was looking for a specific type of cleaner and called to see if they had it in stock. I was told that they had it on their shelves and to come on down. When I got there, I found out he actually didn’t check his stock and had lied to me. An hour of fighting traffic to find out that he could order it for me. Not sure if this is an anomaly, but that was beyond-​terrible customer treatment.

This is my go to store for paint. Every time I go in it seems like they are willing to go the extra mile. The manager did a great job matching the stain for some cabinets we were redoing. Its a little hard to find (I didn’t even know it was there until our painters told us were it was), but its there! 2 blocks south of Ashby on San Pablo.
100x better than Home Depot or OSH. If you have never been to a REAL paint store, do yourself a favor and check them out.
