I asked for a croissant(usually served/sold warm @ Starbucks) but today I was handed a cold one, because they don’t have a warmer. I was very annoyed that this lady would sell me a cold croissant knowing she couldn’t warm it. She should’ve told me before I paid. She told me to ask the deli if they’d warm it up for me. My last time at this Safeway Starbucks. Plus Some of the people there don’t know how to make the drinks correctly.

I’m so confused. My coworkers have gone to this location on 3 separate occasions over the past week and each time the barista hasn’t known how to make any drinks. They stand in line for forever and once they get to the front she says she doesn’t know how to make the drinks and can only do drip coffee. She’s even gone as far as to asking for instructions on how to make the drinks from the customers. I get it. Obviously someone went to lunch and they didn’t have anyone to cover. Maybe she could announce that to the whole line? Maybe we could do something to make up for the inconvenience? Clearly this isn’t a one off if it’s happened 3 times. It might even make more sense to put up a closed sign. I do believe having an untrained person and putting up a closed sign are both violations of the license agreement with Starbucks so which one is less annoying? Probably the closed sign. Get your act together.

I frequent this Starbucks that is located inside of the Safeway at South Shore Center quite frequently, random times of the day, and at varying degrees of busyness… I do think this little Starbucks does rise above its fellow Starbuck’s because not only are its employees efficient and friendly, they go out of their way to ensure that you get exactly what you ordered and that’s nice. Nothing is worse than looking forward to your f;avorite Starbucks, only to have it be sub-par. Two of the employees that stand out at this Safeway Starbucks would be Karen and Blake. These two are so «on», every time I get to have them as my barista, so friendly(they even remember my name — unheard of!), and consistently make the very best drinks, no matter what I order! It is a true pleasure when I get either Karen or Blake on the job! But this Starbucks in Safeway is just good. It makes it less painful to pony up the $$ for whatever you might order! I recommend stopping by.

I wouldn’t say it’s anything special. Just one of the in-store Starbucks. The customer service is good and relatively fast(depending also on how busy Safeway is — the line can turn very long). Sadly you can’t use coupons or awards here, but they are convinient for a quick drink. The baked goods stand is usually pretty empty(and it’s small to begin with), so come early in the morning if you wish to have something.

I find myself constantly at the this starbucks, at least once a week actually. I am a loyal shopper to this safeway in particular and I work within walking distance. I never had a problem with customer service here and the wait time is decent. The barista knows what’s she’s doing is always makes my drinks on point. There are certain coupons and specials that they can’t honor here being that they are only a kiosk but I’m fine with that. Keep up the good work and I’ll probably see you tomorrow.

I thought the one by my house in Hayward was bad. But this location is actually the worse. The employees were so rude! Ordered 3 ice green tea latte and it tastes like plain milk. The powder wasn’t even shaken for us and they didnt offer a sweetener like other Starbucks. I think I’ll make a trip to the one on Park Street from now on.

It’s hidden not up front which I like personally. It’s a A typical starbucks that got our order right, always a plus. Thanks Team!

This Starbucks is A-OK, not like the one across the street from the Federal Building in Downtown Oakland(4 stars). It is slightly less expensive, but it also can be slow depending on the movement of the line of customers and how many baristas are available to assist. I usually get a caramel frappuccino, but I decided on a iced hazelnut latte and two blueberry scones. Sitting area is spacious and nice to take a load off one’s feet to relax and/or chill. The selection of baked goods is just okay compared to other Starbucks. However, they do have a special until June 17, using one’s Safeway card — spend $ 8.00 or more and get $ 2.00 off.

Was in shopping one day and decide to take advantage of my Safeway«Personalized Deal» for a Starbucks caramel flan Frappuccino. I normally go to the Starbucks in the shopping center for my Starbucks, but hey, this was a Safeway freebie. Though this Starbucks looks exactly like a stand-alone Starbucks, the ones in Safeway and Target are licensed locations. The baristas here are Starbucks trained, but they are in fact Safeway employees. Walking right up to the counter, the barista took my order and rang up my transaction. She promptly started making my drink and my frap was shortly completed. First time trying this new caramel flan frap and it was pretty tasty. First time at this location and it was pretty good. No waiting and good job on my frap. If shopping in Safeway and in the mood for some Starbucks, I would consider this Safeway location.

Some baristas are better than others. I also find that they make better cold drinks than hot. I have been SORELY disappointed on many occasions by many baristas, some more than once, when I order a simple chai tea latte. I cannot even taste any spice when I drink it, and a lot of times it’s just dull or bitter, to the point that I just taste water and whatever the heck else passes as their version. But I’ve been impressed with the cold Caramel Macciato. And there’s a really cute guy that works there. An added star for it being a tad bit cheaper than the regular Starbucks stores. Regardless of the drinks, I’ve always experienced excellent customer service. They also have free wifi and tons of places to sit if you want to hang out.

One of the worst Starbucks I’ve been to… I’m not the biggest Starbucks fan, and I actually don’t like hot coffee… but iced coffee’s, frappuccino’s and all of that… bring ‘em on! I have actually been here a lot lately due to some family stuff going on in the area. I am designated coffee guy and have gone on many runs! The lines aren’t bad as far as Starbucks is concerned, and they are average in their speed. The actual baked goods that they have on hand though are usually very depleted. I have gone at all times and have never been overly impressed by their selection. The service is also just ok, to not good at all. Multiple times that I’ve gone the order has been wrong. And the people aren’t super friendly. My family is made up of coffee/Starbucks fans so I’ll be back… many times… but I feel like this place can do better.
