Tootsies

Cute store. Good customer service, my partner bought some great sandals and loves them. I bought socks and like them too.

Three of us walked in… No greeting… Employee (owner?) never looked up from her computer. I asked a question — no response. I asked again. Still no response. I told my friends «let’s go». We left. Not at all impressive– looked like cute shoes but who wants to do business with a company where customers are not important? Very disappointing.

I was strolling down Park Street to check out another business when I noticed Tootsies is now open.
Tootsies is a boutique shop, which carries a wide variety of designer shoes (flats, low heels, sandals, boots, high heels) for women from the ages of 10 to 80. They also have leather shoulder handbags and tote bags, beautiful scarves on display and a basket of costume jewelry. I am not sure if they will have a nail salon section in this store, compared to the one in the Rockridge District of Oakland.
Ambiance: Well lit boutique store, nice lacquered hardwood floor. Displays of accessories are organized neatly.
Cleanliness: Pristine… grade A+++.
Staff: Female employee (about 30ish) was busy cleaning the store, but she did manage to greet me and allowed me to browse. She told me the store just opened and not all their inventory and merchandise are in yet.
Even though I love the styles and designs of the leather shoulder handbags and this shop has fashionable merchandise, I am more of the casual and comfortable dresser. I might not do a whole lot of shopping for myself, but they sure do have women’s items for gift giving.
