I’d go 5 stars but we have Little Star and Zachary’s. That said, neither of them deliver except via an app and a ridiculous surcharge. Also, Broccoli may not belong on a pizza but they know how to make it work. Lanesplitter may have a bigger Humongous but at Albany they pick up the phone more often.

I have to say this is one of my favorite spots. They have like a $ 6 monster slice pizza plus a soda. This the best deal you can get.

Best deal in town! Giant slice and soda or bottled water for $ 6.50. Basically a small pizza, twice the size of a personal at most places. I have only had really friendly service, only see younger people but very professional. I drive past many other pizza joints to come here.

Personally I love this place. Milano pizza is the BEST. Often delivery takes awhile so I usually pick up.

One of the best pizza joints in El Cerrito/Albany in the mid-priced tier(Little Star and Zachary’s are more expensive). Definitely better than Armadillo or Papi’s Pizza Roma. The crust had a nice combo of crispy outside and slightly doughy interior. Don’t forget to mention their $ 2 off coupon when you call.

I hate to do it but I’m lowering my rating. Again. They consistently stop taking calls or any other order a half hour before they close. For most businesses closing time is when they stop doing business. Not for this one. Closing time is when they lock the doors and go home. The business hours are supposed to be for customer’s reference, not a guideline for the employees. If needed for the type of employees who are eager to end their shift, schedule them till a half hour AFTER closing so they do their job the ENTIRE time the business is open. The monster«slice»(actually a single serving pizza) they offer is a great deal, but it’s quite inconsistent. Bigger or smaller depending on the day and time and employee making it. Sometimes 4 slices, sometimes more. If two people order them at near the same time they make one large and very weird shaped pizza and then cut that in half. They try to end up with something roughly shaped like a slice of pizza. I think everything about this would be better if they called it and treated it like a pizza instead of a slice. They also sometimes seem to have trouble getting the toppings anywhere but a pile in the middle of the pizza. Typical teenage workforce. All of this said, I still think this is the best pizza around. The crust comes out perfect almost every time. The ingredients are good and fresh, but I will never understand why ham is called bacon when you put it on a pizza. Salads are, well, salads. Not much room to complain. The pesto sauce is good, and I wish they did a white pizza. Seriously, it’s hard to beat their monster slice with a soda for lunch. It’s probably about the best deal on a delicious lunch anywhere in the bay area.

I ordered a large, half supreme half popeye pizza. Instead of sausage on the supreme, I asked for linguica. They delivered me a half supreme, half pepperoni pizza, I called to exchange my pizza, all they could offer me was a shitty excuse was why they made the mistake, and that they can offer me a discount. So the girl on the phone decides to send me an entire new medium pizza that is entirely popeye. All i asked was if I could return the pizza for the right pizza. is that so damn hard? But you’re willing to send me a pizza a size smaller? What the heck man. When I asked to just exchange the pizza for the right pizza, she offered to put me on the«complaint list.» …why do you have enough complaints to have a list? On top of all this. the pizza sauce tastes like a cheap lunchable. One star, I’m never straying from Papi’s Pizza Roma on Moser Lane again.

Friendly people and I love the pizza. The cashiers are very friendly and the pizzas to me are outstanding. I’ve eaten at many places and pizza from here takes my number 1 spot. Definitely recommend coming here. Also the price is very reasonable. For 6 – 7 dollars you get a monster slice. This isn’t a slice folks… It’s a freaking pizza that will leave you satisfied. The cheese is exquisite and they add a lot of toppings to your pizza. They’re not stingy like dominos. Comes with a free drink and you can add a salad for a dollar only. Doesn’t get much better than this.

Just ordered an 18″ supreme pizza. Delivery was reasonable. Nice delivery guy. That’s why I give 2 . The pizza? Awful. Crust was pale blonde and soaked through. Half an inch thick. Bready and gooey like a Pillsbury biscuit. The sauce had the flavor of plain tomato paste. The ground sausage was good, but the pepperoni had the flavor and texture of a slim jim. Pizza was hot when it arrived but cooled off quickly to the consistency of a bar of ivory soap. Not cheap either. Was by far the most bland pizza I’ve had since Chuck-E-Cheese. Save your money. Order Chinese!

39 minutes for one slice. Place was empty with zero customers at time of order. No real obvious concern for heating one slice. Bummer.

This place should get 3 ½ stars. It wasn’t bad. I ordered a monster slice with sausage and mushrooms. The crust was nicely crisp and somewhat light(not that heavy doughy crust like at some places), it could have been cooked a little longer though. Sauce was fine, not too sweet, not too spicy or weird. The pictures on Unilocal of the monster slice do not lie, they really are monster and are pretty much the size of a personal pizza, good deal for $ 7 – 8 bucks. I’ve tried several pizza places around Berkeley, some of the better places do not deliver. I decided to stop getting delivery from North Beach Pizza(one of the closest to my house), as they are consistently bland(which is kind of surprising because I’ve liked their San Francisco restaurants back in the late 80’s). I’ll have to try a whole pizza here some time and ask for it to be baked«well done» and see if it’s a bit better. I’ll also try their delivery service since they said they would deliver to Berkeley. Edit and update: I’ll have to take a star away from this place because although an employee there said they’d deliver to Berkeley(and I told them my address which is south of University) I was later told that they don’t deliver south of University in Berkeley. I suggested that they update their menus to indicate that instead of misrepresenting that they deliver all over Berkeley.

I want to say, let’s regroup, take a breath and have strong comeback Albany pizza! right now things seem to be loose at the seams. their quality and service have seen better days, even great days. from reading other reviews, looks like they are feeling some growing pains. hang in there! btw, I’m writing this after my 2nd experience with almost 2 hour delivery time from a mile away, and kinda poor rushed quality grub(don’t bother with salad), and exasperated service. I’ve had great food and experience here in the past and I am not picky, iswear! I just hope they come through because I genuinely like their pizza

Good size pizza, FREE delivery and it’s nice they don’t over sauce to the point it’s pizza soup they focus more on toppings! A little pricey though but for free delivery it evens out

I absolutely love this place! I come all the way from Rodeo with my kids just to get their pizza. My family lives in El Cerrito and they get it all the time. This is WAYBETTER than dominos and doesn’t even come close to tasting like them. They’re crust is great and cheese is tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone and have already suggested it to many of my friends.

This was our regular pizza guy for 5 – 6 years, but I just called today and learned that they no longer deliver to Berkeley. The guy said they now only deliver to Albany and El Cerrito. I guess we need a new pizza delivery place. Too bad, this was a regular place for us.

Broke the cardinal rule… , Restaurants never close early! They are supposed to be open until 10 on Friday, but must have closed at 9, since the girl working there was leaving when I got there at 9:25. It’s not the first time, but it’s the last visit from this regular customer. I know tomorrow is a holiday, they are closed for that, but it’s not a holiday that you would expect a business to close early for, so no pass on this, just bored kids deciding to close early. The pizza is decent, but as others have said, the service is non-existent.

Pretty happy with the establishment, but the only complaint I have, and what seems like others have is delivery issues.(Other than their barely working soda fridge) The older guy seems pretty fussy. I was working on my car so I ordered delivery since I couldn’t pick up. I was only 4 or 5 blocks away on the same street so I was expecting a piping hot pizza and cool soda. Instead of driving, he WALKED5 blocks, which takes MUCH longer. Shows he doesn’t care about customers waiting for their food. So now my soda was warm and pizza luke-warm. Then he warned me that they won’t deliver again since I didn’t order enough? Got a monster slice with like 6 toppings… No one said it’d be an issue when I made the order. And when we do order, it’s about 4 or 5 pizzas for the employees too, I was just working on my own car that day. Maybe the old man was having a bad day? I don’t know, nor care. You’re running a business and have a job to do, treat your customers with a little more respect. Or retire and just hire a kid from Albany High, I’m sure he’d do a better job without all the attitude.

This is your neighborhood joint type of pizzeria; don’t expect a gourmet experience, but do expect a solidly made, and consistently tasty pizza! The good: Decent price and easily customized pizzas. Usually we get half mushroom and half pineapple, and it comes out to about $ 23 for a large. They also constantly have coupons so that you can save a few bucks. The bad: Delivery takes notoriously long– and who can blame them since they’re a small business? Take out is much faster. The food: A chewy and medium thick crust that is tasty to snack on, pretty good cheese and great toppings. Again, nothing to blow your taste buds away but a great week night meal! Tip: get pick up, not delivery which takes way too long.

Website says they deliver to Richmond. I call an hour ago, order a pizza and provide my address, which is just over the El Cerrito /richmond border — as barely in richmond as you can get. They take my order and credit card. Just now they call me and say they refuse to deliver to my address. Love their commitment to customer service.(Sarcastic)

While I really like albany pizza company’s pizza beware that they do not actually deliver to Berkeley as listed on their website. I have been a loyal customer ordering pizza at least once a week for our book club meetings at the school where I work. I happened to be in a situation today where I wanted to have pizza delivered to my home address. I just gave birth and my best friend is over after being dumped by text message. Needless to say I can’t really leave the house and I just needed a pizza for easy dinner. After taking my order and credit card number the lady tells me the driver refused to deliver because I was too far away. No manager was available so I will not be ordering from them anymore.
