Pizza was delicious, salad was fresh and tasty. The delivery was really fast and friendly. Definitely will order again. Only thing that could use improvement was the garlic bread, seemed like it was cooked unevenly, but I will order again and see how it goes. Thank you La Vals for a fast and tasty weeknight dinner.

I love this place! The food is excellent. Great pizzas, pastas, salads, and breads. The people who own/​run the restaurant are sweet and kind and friendly. The delivery service is fast and easy. This is my favorite pizza delivery place.

I just did a walkin, they have a huge menu with many wonderful stuff. frankly I got confused what to order but the guy over there who is the owner of that restaurant helped me to choose and he is the one who made my pizza. He asked me to try a slice before getting my order. it was really amazing. I really loved their food. I surely recommend this place.

Alas things seem to have gone downhill a bit — no Brazilian anything (including pizza), no chocolate and strawberries pizza, and my 18 yr old son remarked that «Mountain Mikes is the best». But if you use the Unilocal deal it is certainly value for money. I wish the owners could generate some enthusiasm and new ideas, but don’t see that happening. At least they were indeed friendly despite me using the coupon (which you can call up and pay for on the Unilocal app while they make the pizza if you like).

Ordered a La Val’s Special pizza around 9:30pm and was disappointed. Sausage tasted old and reheated, and was honestly the worst part of the pizza. Hardly any pepperoni or sauce. The cheese tasted old as well. It honestly tasted like week-​old warmed-​up pizza, and evoked memories of my childhood during middle school when I would actually eat the pizza served in the cafeteria on Fridays.
Ended up throwing the pizza away.

Great pizza and pasta! I ordered for the first time over the phone and a worker named, Anmol, was really patient and helped me order exactly what I wanted. When I went to pick up my food, the owners were extremely friendly. I was early for my pick up, so I had time to watch them make a few pizzas and they really take their time preparing all of their food! The pizza is made very well; generous with toppings and crispy crust.

Surprisingly good. We’ve lived in the area for a couple of years but usually get our pizza at Little Star or Zachary’s. A few nights ago we were in the mood for delivery but didn’t feel like sinking to the level of Domino’s, so we looked around until we found La Val’s. We ordered the Pesto Sauce Special pizza and it was delicious! Good crust, fresh-​tasting ingredients. We used their online ordering service, and they got all the details correct and the delivery guy showed up in about 20 minutes. Would definitely order from La Val’s again.

Not really a pizza person so I wasn’t disappointed. Just the opposite, they might make a convert out of me! Excellent pizza, friendly people, and really fresh ingredients. I will definitely be back to try the pizza pot pie!

Not at all what I expected. The cheese pizza was barely warm and tasteless. The wings were inedible without being thrown in the oven to cook longer. Definitely not worth the $ 31 I paid for it…

We order pizza from La Val’s about every other week for the past few months. Usually we order the plain cheese pizza (which is the only pizza my kids would eat),
So far I have had their cheese pizza, margarita pizza and hot chicken wings, and its all tasty. It’s probably not the best pizza I have ever had, but for a reasonably priced, local pizza it definitely satisfies the requirements,
The delivery was always in the range of 45 minutes, usually takes 20 – 30 minutes and the people were always nice and friendly.

Cold on arrival…
I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad. Both were very «meh,» not really bad but I’m definitely not going to be craving La Val’s anytime in the near future. It almost tasted like the delivery driver got hungry and ate the pizza I ordered then stopped by 7 – 11 and picked up one of their pizzas to replace it. Although I think the 7 – 11 pizza may be just a bit better.
If there are no other pizza places around and 7 – 11 is closed, go for La Val’s.

Pretty damn disappointed with this place. I can deal with my order constantly not being what I ordered, but today’s almost 2 hour wait for my now luke-​warm pizza is the last straw. My pizza services will now be conducted at the local dominos. At least they get the ingredients correct. This pizza is going in the trash and I’m $ 24 lighter and still hungry.

So I order a extra large, half LaVals special, half Go Green special and a 2 liter. No sausage or spinach add chicken and green onion. Regular price is $ 24.99, they charged extra for everything. I left paying $ 37.40! A whopping $ 12+ in surcharges and tax.
Pizza was just fine. I don’t think I will go back. Albany Pizza is right down the street and I know what to expect.

Wow! this place has some seriously good pizza. I just got finished eating a plain pizza and garlic bread and I have to say it was one of the better pizzas I’ve had in a while. I’m glad Albany pizza had a long wait for delivery tonight because I found another awesome pizza place. Giaio is great too but doesn’t deliver.
Also, I should mention, that this place has a new owner. A very nice man with great pizza skills!

I haven’t been back to this place since the new owners took over until today. I ordered a medium pizza with half the La Vals Special and half Pesto Sauce special. The Pizza was ready within 20 minutes and was pretty good.
The ingredients tasted fresh and the pizza was nice and hot out of the oven. I took advantage of their $ 10 for $ 20 Unilocal deal and it came out to $ 20 for a medium pizza and a small greek salad.

UPDATE: In response to the owner response, below, that claims this is a false review, you’re WRONG. This is an honest review (which I still stand by) concerning a real incident that happened in 2013 (NOT about three years ago, like you claimed in 2014) and written about a real person (YOU, obviously — I recognize you in your Unilocal photo and I see you still have communication issues). Truthfully, I recommend you stay behind the scenes or get into a field where you don’t have to deal directly with humans. I took my bidness elsewhere. (And Groupon refunded me because it understood that you were being unreasonable.)
ORIGINAL REVIEW: The woman who seems to own this place has a serious anger management problem. The temper tantrum she threw tonight was so astonishing that I was tempted to video record it right then and here. Cray stuff.
Essentially she made a major error with her Groupon (six $ 5 off coupons) and is now tacking on all kinds of lame «exceptions» because she’s losing money on it (which she admitted to). Now she says the Groupon can’t go toward Brazilian pizzas. All right, but do you have to YELL at me if I complain about it? Totally unprofessional. (And I can see it happens quite a bit, according to other Unilocalers.) That said, the pizza is yummy, but who needs the attitude? This woman should not be dealing with the public — especially when there’s so many other good pizza places in the Bay. I’d give zero stars if I could.
