Had it delivered using Door Dash. Luke warm, which I can overlook since it came to my door. But the pineapple/Canadian bacon pizza dough was salty. The dough itself was salty. Yuck. Decent dough texture. Not generous toppings but sufficient. Overall it’s three stars but… Salty dough? I’ll pass.

really lacking flavor and really not a good slice of pizza. Did I mention too expensive for the low quality that they provide? Save your stomach and your wallet’s value, go somewhere else where you may pay more or less but your stomach will be happier.

Got a slice over here a while back and really enjoyed it. Employees packed it with toppings and everyone was very kind. Thanks!

Expensive and not worth it. The toppings are skimpy. Ordered pizza for the all my technicians today and chose this place because someone had given me the rest of their gift card they didn’t want. 5−15″ pizzas ranging from $ 26-$ 30 a piece left my crew hungry and unsatisfied. Pretty bad when people are complaining about a complimentary lunch. The guy at the shop almost overcharged me, but was nice overall. Will definitely have to continue to order pizza elsewhere–

Really great pizza and really great people. I walk by here and get a slice sometimes. Tonight I dropped my wallet and one of the guys there walked all the way to my house to drop it off! They are just super people and I love the pizza. Best pizza in Albany.

$ 32 for a pizza?! They should now call this place«Ethics Splitter» or Greed Monger Pizza. I used to be a fan of this place. The pizza is good, but no way is it that good, not even close. I can walk up the street a tad farther for a large Zachary’s pizza with more meat than their Carnivore pizza for $ 7 less. Much better deal and much better pizza. I don’t know what happened to this place to suddenly make them raise their prices by 30% over night, but they can stick it. The owner must want to retire in a hurry.

Now that we’ve moved, we come in and do a lot of take-out. Take-out is great.(I haven’t tried delivery again). I like the people that work there, they make good pizza and if there are any problems they fix it. Still a great place to go for good New York style pizza. Also the woman who was rude to me before seems to be long, long gone.

We expected this place to be bigger than it actually was. It was the ‘order your pizza for delivery or pick-up to go’ sort of place. There were literally only 2 chairs in the room, though the room was tiny. We ordered our pizza to go in person, and the guy who took our order seemed like a really nice fellow. The pizza, however, turned out to be a little burnt. 2 stars for the pizza, and an extra star for the super friendly attitude.

This place used to be good, but now I give it ZERO stars. About 3 weeks ago we order a pizza for delivery and there is no problem. We call today(10÷4÷2014) and they say that they won’t deliver to us and that they never have which is BS. NEVERGOTOTHISPLACEAGAIN!!!

Unlike the other reviews, the Albany lane splitters went out of their way to help me out. Pizza was delivered between 30 – 40 min, the bread sticks were burned but they called back shortly after the order was delivered and comped them. Good service. Good people. Thank you.

After my last review I had been contacted by the General Manager of Lanesplitter with apologies for my experience and we had been gun-shy this whole time to go back to them. My husband and I decided to give them another chance but with take-out from their Temescal location instead of delivery this time. What a difference! The pizzas we ordered were so much better than what we had received 8 months ago, but perhaps take-out is the difference? Their toppings are still pretty sparse(hence only 3 stars), but the crust was actually cooked this time and overall tasted good. So I think we’ll be return customers but for take-out only. Anyway, thanks Kelly for winning us over!

I should have read the Unilocal reviews! I looked up the Berkeley location which gets decent reviews and ordered for delivery. 1.5 hrs and $ 40 later, I got the Sicilian style pizza which came in a huge box. We were like, ok I guess that’s why it costs so much. Then we opened the box, and there was a teensy pizza inside that took up maybe a third of the box and tasted dry and tasteless.

40 min estimate. Now at T+91 mins later and still no pizza! The driver went out at T+50(already bad), and google says it takes 7 minutes to my house. At this point the driver must have either been in an accident or be stoned out of his mind munching on my pizza. The fellow on the phone is nice and apologetic and has comped my order but i still have no dinner and I’m pissed and hungry! Edit: 2 hours. No pizza. Good thing I had other food in the house! Edit 2: The pizza never arrived. No further communication. Edit 3: the delivery guy finally arrived 4 hours late, stoned, saying that it was some kind of «system glitch». I phoned the store, they assured me action would be taken.

lame… totally lame. didn’t feellike driving and ordered a large cheese pizza with half pepperoni and literally, they space out 2 pieces of pepperoni on each slice on the half(4 slices), barely any sauce and very sparse on the cheese. I pictured the cheap manager/owner hovering over the kitchen people making sure they ration out the ingredients accordingly. It was all up $ 35+ for a DRY piece of lameness. feel sooooo ripped off. I almost ordered dominos and really wish i would have. i’ve eaten in the restaurant in berkeley and oakland and that was decent but this absolutely sucked. Come to think of it, i had it delivered a couple years ago and swore i’d never order it again. Now i remember why. NEVER again.

One of the better delivered gluten free pizzas I’ve had! It came within the time limit they specified and was hot and cheesy. The gluten free crust was ok — a little soft for my taste but wasn’t overcooked(aka burnt), hard or chewy. If you get one, try to finish it all the same night! It’s just not the same as regular cold pizza that’s still edible the morning after and microwaving it doesn’t help either. The ordering process could be better. There’s been days that I call and there’s no answer or the estimated delivery time is greater than 1.5 — 2 hours. Too bad they don’t take orders online but maybe sometime in the near future that will change!

WORSTPIZZAEVER. I had pizza to go from here and it was AWFUL. I expected this place to be like the one in Temescal but I was wrong. The moment i bit into the pizza EVERYTHINGSLIDOFFTHEPIZZAANDONTOMYFACE. I wouldn’t mind it THAT much had everything been delicious but it was NOT. The pizza was cold, the ingredients were poor, and altogether it was so gross that later that night I had to get another pizza because the Lanesplitter pizza was inedible. Do not order from here ppl! Go make the trip to Berkeley to get good pizza or heck even Digiornos! Please dont be foolish and think the reviews arent so bad for this place, i’ll still give it a shot. If you love yourself you will not get pizza from here!

I grew up in NJ and lived in NYC and this pizza has been one of the best in the Bay Area. There is one other tied for first place with these guys. The crust is thing, the toppings are great and I like the sauce. I don’t give five stars pertaining to pizza in the Bay Area easily. The guys were friendly and had that easy going Berkeley vibe. Its too bad the recent prior reviewers have never run a business and can’t give an inch pertaining to something that has nothing to do with pizza such as their phone system. As a first timer, it made sense to me. An option to pick up the pizza and then another option to select the location. Also, pertaining to the amount of time to pick up, I called on a busy Saturday night at Albany and it was ready in 20 minutes. I actually had called two other excellent pizza joints in Berkeley and the reason I gave these guys a try was because they had the soonest delivery time. If you change pizzerias because of a phone system or one bad experience then you might ask your doctor if Paxil is right for you.

Goodbye Lanesplitter! I will miss the pizzas that I have been faithfully buying and spreading the word about for the past five years, but the new voicemail tree system is terrible and, after a good ten minutes on hold, I placed my order but when I tried to pick it up, no pizza! They said my order«didn’t go through» — guess what else is no longer going through? I drove by several other pizza places on the way to Lanesplitter and now my drive just got shorter. Voicemail thing has got to go. Or your customers will.

I think I’ll just stick to cheese pizza next time I go to Lanesplitters. While they do serve up a tasty pie, the massive amount of toppings they put on makes the dough soggy. I think the good flavor of the sauce would go nicely with just cheese… maaaaaaybe one topping. I do appreciate the fact that the slices are generously big and and extra tasty when folded. But the crust underneath the pizza is just bland and uniform in texture with the stuff on top. No crunch. Also, you get $ 5 off on a large pizza when your order for pick-up, which was a nice surprise for the first time I ordered.

Lanesplitter is a good choice if you need 10 thin-crust cheese pizzas for a middle-school cast party. On other occasions, I’d rather go to Ariinell and would certainly prefer pizza from a more upscale place like Little Star or even Gioia. Heck, I haven’t even tried Addie’s yet! Face it, this is beach pizza, and generic beach pizza at that. Lanesplitter compares well with places like Pizza Roma further north on San Pablo Avenue and North Beach Pizza on University in Berkeley, but it just doesn’t seem special to me in any way. I’ll probably be back some day, but it’s an excellent bet that my next pie will not be from Lanesplitter.
