All In One Fitness

Either I was born with a recessive exercise gene or as I grew up, I developed an allergy to exercise. As recently as five years ago if somebody had told me I’d be going THREE mornings a week to the All-​In-​One Fitness Gym — voluntarily, mind you — I would’ve consigned their remark to the «Not a chance in hell» bin.
My sessions with Sarah over the last two-​plus years have been precisely what I need, especially at this stage of my life. She tailors the exercises to my needs, and she’s always positive about my occasional puny performances, assuring me I will get better with practice. She also offers praise when I «get it,» which makes me feel good, not only psychologically but physically as well. (I think my muscles respond nicely to praise.) I feel especially proud of myself on Fridays at the end of my third weekly sessions — it’s as if my body is congratulating my will power for working so hard to overcome whatever held me back before, whether a recessive exercise gene or an allergy to exercise. Thank you, Sarah. And thank you, AIOF.

I’ve been w/​this gym for over a year now & I love it. This club has the hugest selection of free weights & recently just added two additional new squat racks (now a total of 4) THANK YOU! They have numerous cardio machines & selectorized machines & the best part is there is never a wait to use the machines & no time limit! I’ve been to other gyms that are usually too crowded & have a 30 minute time limit on machines LAME. Which is why I am so happy that this club is never over crowded. The entire staff is knowledgable & always friendly & knows every member by name which is great. Take advantage of the free assessment w/​a personal trainer, it definitely helped me address & pursue my fitness goals. & the best thing after my workout is their infrared sauna woohoo amazing! Their locker rooms & shower rooms are always clean which I love! I will definitely continue my membership w/​them, despite what other reviewers claim, their memberships terms & conditions are specifically addressed during sign up & I’ve never had a problem w/​communication w/​their staff or with the owners. My experience has just been awesome, thanks All In One Fitness!

This review is long overdue, as I’ve been a happy AIOF fan for over two years now. It’s a friendly, accessible gym for people of all ages, sizes, and shapes, a place you’ll look forward to attending as much for the warm welcome as for the range of equipment. There is NO attitude at this gym, no pretension. Just a variety of people united by their common purpose to become healthier and stronger.
I’m driven to write this particular review, though, as a thank you to Kirk. Two days ago, I finished my first full marathon and I owe him a credit for helping me get there. Sidelined somemwhat by the increased training demands (though I’ve been an active and driven runner for a couple of years now), Kirk observed me limping around the gym with my shin taped fruitlessly. He arranged a free consultation with me, during which he gave me a stern talking-​to about bad habits (poor nutrition, lack of warming-​up, fear of stretching) as well as giving me a prescription for strengthening exercises and a somewhat reduced running plan (which even managed to factor in my type-​A tendencies). I did my homework religiously (a cure, you say??) and sure enough, after a few weeks, my pain lessened and I was able to increase my running enough to get back on the program I had chosen. I’m a convert, who intends to keep up with her «homework».
In short, this is a terrific gym with a uniquely positive environment, which will encourage you to keep progressing towards your goals whether you’re an athlete, a homebody or rehabilitating from injury. And if you’re looking for a trainer with a compassionate but no-​nonsense approach that works wonders, I’d suggest you walk in the door and ask for Kirk.

Gym is seldom crowded and there is some useful equipment. But some of the equipment such as the leg press machine are a little sub par. This machine in particular gets very wobbly when any significant amount of weight is added to it. I joined join a gym every year to do a few months of strength training in the fall. Not sure I will be joining this next year.

Crooked and snooty ownership. I was a prepaid member for a year. I got a voicemail saying my contract was up and I needed to renew. I didn’t renew and I was under the assumption my membership was over. I then joined a better gym down the street. They way over charge for such a small thrown together basic gym. Very limited space and very limited free weights and very limited machines. Big waste of money. Five months later I get a letter saying price hikes so when I called they said yes they have still been charging me but now at a higher price of $ 70 a month. I explained that my contract ended but they said no and that I had unknowingly been paying for 5 months x $ 70 for a total of $ 350 that I did not know about. I wanted to be reimbursed and the manager said no. I asked twice to speak with the owners and they refused my call. I even showed up in person and the owners weren’t available to talk. I explained I just had a new baby last week and could really use the money they had stolen from me. They again refused but the manager did knock a month off. I explained that I wanted all of it back especially since I just had a kid. To this date the owners have refused to respond to my request for a full refund. Since the owners and management are crooked and snooty enough to steal money from a baby then take my advice and stay far far away from this crooked dump of a gym !!!
As a rebuttal to your response: Me as the customer only received one phone call. That phone voicemail only contained info pertaining to my contract ending. Not informing me of continued payments or increased payments. I did not receive the other two forms as you mention. In fact I prepaid for the whole year. You All in one Fitness started stealing my money after the end of my 1 year prepaid contract. After about 5 months of you stealing my money it would be easy to see that I did not come into your business. Do you think anybody would pay $ 70 a month to not step one foot into your gym? I think not. This proves your incompetence as a business and the incompetence of its crooked owners. Yes your gym is small. Yes it gets hot during the summer. Yes it is way over priced. Yes the owners are crooked. Your business stole $ 300 from me. Evidently my stolen $ 300 is keeping your gym in business. So for any future customer even thinking about joining this hole in the wall of a gym take consideration in the two views you see posted in this honest review. In fact look at other reviews and you will see a pattern of bad and crooked ownership. The customer was taken advantage of and had $ 300 stolen by the crooked owners. The customer requested their money back with honest information and facts. The crooked owners do not care about the customer. They only care about themselves. They hide behind lawyer created paperwork instead of doing the right thing. So as a customer warning other customers. Stay far far away from this small inadequate gym owned by crooked disheartened people. !!

Absolutely the best gym ever! Everything about it: location is convenient, hours are good, staff is friendly, it is clean, great classes, never crowded no matter what time of day and the punching bag is an extra perk. I used to pay much more and drive much further for a similar gym when I lived in LA. But when I relocated and found this gem of a gym walking distance from home, it was perfect! The pricing is reasonable for the quality and availability of equipment. My only item on a «wish list «of sorts would be for the gym to offer a class strictly on full body «suspension training» and some foam rolling. I see some classes incorporate the bands a little, but a full-​body on those would be great — my previous gym offered those and they are a great workout. But with all of its other perks, they still get a 5 from me. Way to go! Keep up the good work.

Poor customer service. I had prepaid a 3 months for my account that they automatically rolled into a month to month (without informing me first). I told them to cancel my account — they insisted that I needed to come in first. I refused to come in and they proceeded to send me into collections — without even giving me the courtesy of actually sending me a bill or even telling me what the outstanding balance was. Sloppy customer service, poor communication, lazy staff that is unwilling to go through basic proper steps: sending an actual paper bill, clearly discussing terms and conditions, and even something as basic as communicating what you actually owe was missed by this organization. As much as I love to support local businesses, I can’t support All in One Fitness, amateur hour when it comes to basic billing and customer communication.

I can’t attest to any of the other trainers, but Kirk has done a great job for me. After a serious illness last year, I needed someone who had experience with rehabilitation, as well as physical training. Over the last year, Kirk has worked me harder than I wanted to, but I have improved my stability and balance by at least 90%, lost weight and got into much better shape. As a result of exercises and leg presses (with the weight gradually increased), I feel much more confident about stairs and steep pathways. When an orthopedist suggested I might need surgery for adhesive capsulitis («frozen shoulder’»), Kirk figured out that I could achieve the same goals in attaining shoulder mobility with specific exercises, stretching and occasional, vigorous manipulation of the shoulder. The gym charges way too much for his services, but much as it galls me to admit it, he’s probably worth it. The gym, itself, seems nice enough and the people who use it appear to be happy with the services and equipment it provides.

I’ve been working out here for two years and love it. They have an incredible range of equipment, including a lot of stuff for balance and functional training. They even have a neck harness, for Pete’s sake. They also have one of the best heavy bags ever.
The staff is friendly and responsive; it’s clean. Even the few meatheads are friendly.

i was visiting family and wanted a gym to use. I googled All in One Fitness, and went in to work out. I have worked out in a lot of gyms, and I wish this gym was present where i live! It is very well equipped, has great equipment, is very clean, staff is very friendly and it is efficient; everything you need for a varied work out is in this gym.
I didnt take a class, but I did observe some of the trainers working with their clients and was very impressed with how attentive they were, and the quality and variety of exercises/​training they were giving. I have been in too many gyms where the trainers are too busy on their phones to actually watch their clients and ensure they are working out safely and effectively.
You can’t go wrong with this GREAT gym.

I have joined a lot of gyms in the different cities and I am giving this 5 stars as a solid neighborhood gym. I usually go for a princess gym like Equinox, but I am also used to military base gyms and this is like neither of them. It is quiet, has everything you need for a good workout and a small but decent locker room. Everything is clean and the staff are pleasant. Glad this place exists in an area that is like a desert when it comes to good health clubs.

Approximately 2 years ago, I walked into All in One Fitness overweight,
injured and overwhelmingly discouraged. At one point earlier in my life, I
was an avid runner and very physically active. This changed after a taxi
cab driver hit me in a cross walk and although I was not badly injured, the
accident put an end to my running and to my active lifestyle.
I had never worked with a trainer before, but after joining the gym and
watching and listening to the staff, I decided to give it a go. I have been
very fortunate to work with 3 remarkable trainers.
Liz was an absolute guru at re-​aligning my body, strengthening my core
and re-​establishing my balance. After the accident I began falling down
too frequently: not a good thing for anyone my age! With her help I
started to take off the pounds, and tighten my core. My brain made the
shift and I found my balance had improved remarkably!
I then worked with Janice who was terrific at sculpting all those areas that
hadn’t been exercised in way too long. I was starting to see curves and
definition again — WOW! I was becoming a gym rat!
More recently I trained with Kirk. Although I was extremely skeptical
about working with a male trainer, I found Kirk to be personable, highly
professional and incredibly knowledgeable in body mechanics. Kirk
watched me jog across the gym floor, noticed some problem areas and
then put up with all my groaning as he not only increased my strength and
muscle tone, but also showed me how to change my gait so I could run
again and not be in agonizing pain!
These folks literally gave me back my health and my sanity. I’ve lost 25
lbs, and 3 dress/​pants sizes. AND I’ve kept off the weight! At age 62, I’m
running 9 to 12 miles a week, eating healthy food and lifting/​working out
at the gym. I’ve learned that being healthy is a commitment; one that we
owe to ourselves. I haven’t felt this good in years and I can’t praise this
gym and its staff enough! They literally saved my life…

Its not fair.
I signed up for a year membership and last six months i wasn, t able to do my routine. Finally someone send me an email because they could not run my credit card to charge me. I asked to cancel my membership since i am not able to commit. They asked me to stop by and do the cancellation in the gym. Finally i stop by and explained the situation and asked for cancellation. They asked me to pay $ 96.00 to cancel the membership because i wasn’t able to go there and now i have to pay the penalty (no show up but you still have to pay the mafia dues). First class treatment…
What a customer service… very disappointed. …i felt like i was robbed forcefully. …

If you’re deciding whether or not to join, they have a ton of free day passes so you can see if it’s a good fit. Take a tour, work out, or try some classes. There’s a neighborhood feel to the gym; the employees are welcoming and they know your name, plus you can make friends with other people who work out on the same schedule.
The gym is great for a basic workout on the machines during the week. There is no wait for the cardio machines and a good variety of weights. Weekend hours are very short (7am-​6pm), so I find myself going to my friends’ gyms on Sunday nights.
The classes used to be amazing, taught by the owner’s themselves, but there’s now a perpetual cycle of new people teaching, so they can be hit or miss. It seems like anytime a class gains traction, they change the time or the trainer. The open floor plan for the classes can be great (Circuit class can teach you what to do if you come on your own), but Spin and Yoga really need a separate space to control for volume issues. That said, the class sizes are small and you can get a good workout.
I love the gym, but recommend that you check it out yourself to see if it’s a fit for you.

I have been a member for 2 years. I attend classes as well as work with a personal trainer once a week. In that time I have lost 20 pounds and wear clothes two sizes smaller. More important is that my self confidence has soared, and I feel stronger and healthier than ever.
This gym is awesome. The equipment is state of the art and always in working order. The staff is very friendly and make it a point to know every member by name. From the time you enter the gym you are greeted with a positive word which makes you feel like you are a valued client.
I have been a member of 2 other gyms in the past. This is the best by far.

II just love this place and thought it might be interesting for viewers to have a point of view from an employee. I have been working with All In One Fitness for almost 2 years and can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience it has been from both a professional side as well as personal. The gym environment is one of inclusiveness for all. Members and co-​workers are all just like a family. It really is a great neighborhood gym with great amenities, knowledgeable and accessible staff, a clean safe environment and just a real supportive vibe. One of the things I enjoy the most about this gym, is that the club really does a great job of building social ties amongst members. From group bike city rides, to trips to the hills for mountain bike outings, to an organized 5K race (many who were first timers), to just a night out on the town. So if you are looking to join a first class gym as a user or for employment opportunities — you definitely should check out this club.

4 months later. Lots of gratitude to Kirk for my 2xweek training sessions. Moving today — lots if lifting, long hours packing etc. 3 months ago I could not have done it. It says a lot for the gym that i enjoyed going as much as I did. I’m relocating out of the bay, but this is my place when I visit or return!

Just went to Janice’s Booty Kick this morning and it was AWESOME! I’ve been to many bootcamp classes at pretty much every gym or boutique place in the area (ice Chamber, Happy Hour Fitness, the Y, Whoo Hoo Fit) and this is by far the best. Janice is fun, tough and really watches form. The exercises and sequencing have some semblance of thought and safety, and it is a great workout. Oh, and the people were really friendly!
A lot of bootcamps I’ve tried are not good for people who have been injured or who have a tendency to get injured because they just don’t seem to care about form or structuring the circuits in a way that allows you to make smart transitions between exercises. I am so happy to have found this class!
BTW, you don’t have to be a member to take it. You can buy a punch card for like $ 12 per class I think. Ask them about it. It is so reasonably priced for how good the class is.

I have been going to All In One Fitness (AIOF) for almost a year now and it has made a big difference on how I feel and look. For years I denied myself the opportunity to upgrade to a better gym simply because I was afraid to leave my old gym’s friendly staff and fellow members. But All In One Fitness made this experience welcome and easy thanks to its knowledgeable and warm trainers/​membership consultants, clean and well-​organized rooms, and its wide variety of machines and equipment.
I first found out about AIOF through a few close friends of mine, one of whom, Yannic, works there in the front. After finding out the cost per month would be the same as the gym I attended previously and that I’d be getting more bang for my buck, I decided to sign up here. Its very reasonable even without classes or personal training!
I have been fortunate enough to have free consultations with Sarah, Janice, and Matt. Everyone I have worked with was professional, nice and very helpful. Something I appreciated was how they respect your fitness goals and how you want to obtain them. They taught me some new exercises and stretches and helped me improve my form on everything else.
The gym itself is deceptively larger than it looks. There is one room with areas for stretching, free weights, stationary bikes and machines. Another is combined with machines and treadmills. There is a men and a women’s locker room with showers and a clean (almost hotel looking) bathroom!
While it can get crowded when there are classes going on, I have never really had to wait too long to be able to do what I wanted here. There’s always an occasional meathead who hogs one machine or piece of equipment forever (there’s no time limits at AIOF), but I can’t complain since its usually not packed like 24 Hour Fitness. I must admit I don’t go out of my way to socialize when I’m doing my workout (not trying to be a dick, I just keep to myself) but I have met some really cool people here.
In the time I have been a member at this gym, I always walk away from it feeling like I have accomplished something. I’m gaining muscle and keeping fit and I think I’m finally seeing results. This is a constant struggle to maintain but I have to give AIOF lots of credit for giving me the options to do so!

My wife and I just started at this gym so we have only been going a few weeks. That said, they have provided excellent service. Everyone there has been helpful and friendly, the facility is clean and in good repair.
We did have a small hiccup when the day after signing up we received a promotional offer that offered us significant benefits over what we had been given. HOWEVER (and this is why they get 5 stars) when we went in and talked to them about it, they gave us an equivalent deal. I really respect them for getting that resolved and it shows a commitment to customer service.
