We love this store! Super friendly associates, available when you have a question, coupons that never expire, can be used retroactively, and arrive in the mail frequently, and best of all, no real exclusions on the coupons! The return policy is as good as LL Beans, and prices are very affordable. There’s also lots of the«As seen on TV» items, which I can try without worrying about shipping costs or return policies. This is a store that we tend to check before going to Macy’s, as they carry a lot of the same lines.

Bed Bath and Beyond is unique. Both men and women can find things that interest them. I’m a home cook, and BB&B has a good selection of kitchen gadgets, and cookware, as well as glassware, dishware, and silverware. But I’m especially interested in their cookware selection. They carry a small selection of high end brands, including some All-Clad cookware, which is arguably some of the best cookware money can buy. In the summer they have grilling, and BBQ gadgets, and utensils. Depending on the time of year, they have a nice mix of MLB, NBA, and NFL paraphernalia for sports fans. They also carry folding chairs. Then there’s all the other stuff they carry, which interest the ladies. My wife loves browsing the aisles there. Best of all, if you sign up for their mailing list, you’ll get 20% off coupons in your mailbox on a regular basis. I just recently bought a pair of All-Clad non-stick fry pans, and they honored my 20% off coupon.

Don’t even bother going here unless you have a 20% off coupon. Everything is marked up at least that much. Plus side: you may find some items not available anywhere else in the area. Just avoid all the gimmicky«Seen on TV» crap.

I won’t bore you with a review of the BB&B concept except to note that the major innovation is to take the parts of Target(or maybe Macy’s, in an earlier incarnation) where you shop for items for four rooms(your kitchen, your bathroom, your bedroom, and your foyer) and stock up on as many items as they can fit into a single footprint. It works for me for some things, not for others. This location gets the 4th star, though, for(1) being the«large» BB&B footprint, which is to say it actually has enough stock to do reasonable comparison shopping on many items for which the smaller BB&B’s are useless, and(2) thus far in my limited experience, significantly better customer service than allied BB&Bs I’ve been to. I still wouldn’t quite call this the equivalent of «the hardware store for basic domestic furnishings» — complete with the old hardware store dude who knows the difference between metric and English spanners and will tell you how to patch your drywall hole — in that they can’t really help you with projects, or decorating, or the combination of things that go into«doing» a space. Neither do they have particularly high end merchandise or particular bargains for prices. But for a one-stop spot for a laundry list of quotidian items, it’s pretty decent.
