I am pregnant with my second child and got my first nursery set from here. The first time should have been the last I deal with these people. This time I went in on a Saturday to scope out what my husband and I wanted for our sons nursery. We picked it out and went back on a Thursday so we could order it with our 10% Toys R Us credit card. First off, I went up to customer service because there was no one to be found in furniture to place my order. The woman told me she couldn’t help me and phoned someone who could. I ordered the crib, 2 dressers, night stand and conversion kit. The nightstand was out of stock(not surprising bc my first set from here had to jump through hoops to get a night stand too)…they did however have it in stock in another store and could have it shipped. OK. They proceed to tell me the conversion kit is discontinued but would call the Latham store to see if they had it or something compatible. latham was no help. So after 25 minutes sitting with a very antsy 1 year old I was asked if I wanted to purchase the available furniture and I would be contacted within the next day to see if I could get the conversion kit. No, I dont want to spend $ 1600 on a set I may not be able to use in 2 years. Never received a call back so I called 2 days later and NOONE knew what I was talking about, could not help me and was told I would get a call later that week or I could check online to see if I could order it that way. These people are not helpful and the lack of resources for employees to make sales and do their jobs is unacceptable. Why do these people advertise they have complete nurserys when, in fact, they dont? It very frustrating for any buyer.

This review is for the attached Babies R’ Us. The store is always a little beat up/messy inside. Cheaper than the nearby Buy Buy Baby, but not nearly the selection and quality. Customer service is absolutely terrible. We ordered a piece of furniture and were told we’d be called within 4 – 6 weeks at most when it came in. Well after this period, we were never called. When we did call after 6 weeks, it still had not come in, but they said they would call. 2 weeks later, we called back, and it had come in. Why were we not called? A frustrating experience overall. If you do prefer Babies R’ Us, try the Latham location.

I’ve shoped in the store several times but yesterday I had one of the worst experience ever with a manager in the store. I found an item that I wish to purchase for Christmas and I saw a certain price on it but when I got to the register she tried to charge me the normal price for it an argued with me in front of customers even though I told her several times that was the price. On the clearance and that’s the price that I should be charged she disagreed and walked away. I then went online to show her that item on a Toys R Us website and showed her that the price was not the same as it was in the ad. .Thanks to the sales associate Myriam for going beyond to make the rest of my experience better. To the manager in this location get out of the office and focus on sales and price points.

I’m not a fan of either the Toys R Us concept or the use of cutesy backwards letters instead of full words, much less agrammatically-used exemplars of the genre, but occasionally necessity requires we try the McDonald’s of Toys. This particular location is better organized and brighter, and less dirty, than the other two locations in the area, and has a full-sized Babies R Us inside. It still features standard Toys R Us ineffectual staff, mountains of plastic and batteries, and not terribly great pricing for a large specialty store, but so it goes.

The renovations are complete, and now this store is a dual Toys R Us and Babies R Us. It’s been a long time since I needed the massive selection of Babies R Us. But I remember it being an invaluable resource as a first time parent. Still, its inclusion seems to have come at a price. The Thomas the Tank Engine section is diminished from the store’s previous floor plan. My son is not amused. However, they have a very pink aisle dedicated to Hello Kitty. My daughter would be delighted, if I ever let her within 100 yards of this store. I have my eyes on the Snoopy Sno-Cone maker. But first I’m going to let the last remnants of winter melt away. Overall, I think it’s an improvement. But it was a pit before.

I went here to shop for a baby and it was okay. The registry kiosk worked well. However they didn’t have a lot of what I was looking for on the registry. It was clean, but the staff wasn’t that friendly.
