Cafe Riviere

Ummmm I’m not sure what to say. This was a bizarre experience and a bizarre place. The food was expensive and dry, but The nats at my table and the cobwebs in the lights did me in. I’m sorry I love to give good reviews. But my momma always told me if I can’t say something nice it’s better left unsaid.

This place recently changed hands — and I don’t think this is the right name even, however, the baked goods are WONDERFUL. They have the best gluten free goodies we’ve found anywhere. The chocolate cherry scones (gluten or non) are amazing! I don’t even like scones, but my husband had me try his — now its all I order.

Came with a co worker. Great place. People were very friendly and the baked goods were wonderful. Will come back if we are in the area!

The environment of the café is cute. It is comfortable and cozy, with outdoor seating too!
The food was delicious, I enjoyed an hot tea, a vegetarian quiche, and an apple danish – however, not in that order…
My food was delivered to me in the most awkward way. I got my warm danish first, which I left on my table because that was to be my «brunch dessert», needless to say, it got cold. I then received my quiche (which was delicious) and started to eat it as I didn’t want that to get cold. I got very thirsty – thankfully there is a self-​service water dispenser. When I was nearly finished with my meal, I got my hot tea… which was still very hot and I couldn’t drink it right away. Thankfully, I wasn’t in a hurry, so my friend and I could chat and I could sip on my tea.
I had also ordered a croissant sandwich for my daughters to share, alas that item got forgotten and I had to remind them to make it.
To recap: nice environment, good food, needs help in the service department. I would recommend this place as long as you are an A-​type personality and you don’t mind asking for what you need (or ordered). Be very upfront with their service staff.

Delicious! I had the spicy pork sandwich. The bread was super-​fresh, tasty, and just a little «kick» of spice from sriracha sauce. Yum!

A culinary café of freshness and yumminess in every bite. Fresh, from scratch food and homemade baked goods. Artsy interior. Reminds me of a Paris café on a summer day.
