Stopped in to grab a couple dogs on my lunch break. Small and unassuming is the first thing I look for in a hot dog stand. Dallas Hot Weiners didn’t disappoint. Their menu ranged way beyond just dogs, but I stuck to the basics and grabbed a Dallas Hot Weiner(brown mustard, onions, and«the sauce») and a slaw dog(basic dog with sweet coleslaw). Pretty standard boiled dogs with the usual white buns — as with any good dog stand, it’s the toppings that make them. And Dallas’s sauce is the bom-diggity.

Just had a Dallas hot wiener, excellent, sauce was great, service friendly, clean, bring the kids, will come back again. This time I’ll eat more lol. Overall I’d give this place 5 stars for the hot dog.

Hands down best breakfast egg on a hard roll sandwich downtown. Two eggs! Props. Dogs are great too. Get everything. The window service is cool. I have had only crisp, professional service.

Mmmmmmmm. Great specialty hotdog place. They make simple food affordable and with care. Should be a big chain someday.

As politician Anthony Weiner’s favorite diner, this place will put your taste buns in Carbos Danger, but in a good way. You will be taken frankfurther than ever before on a fulfilling trip, and no one will be able to ketchup with you. Can you muster it? Can you mustard it? All my friends went on this trip and saw sages who told them to relish life. But be sure to use protection while on your journey. When putting your wiener in the bun, ask them to safely cover it with condiments to protect against Simple Taste Diseases.

Quintessential greasy spoon. Hot dogs are great with everything on them. Great prices as well. Very clean place as well.

This place had been around in Kingston since my dad was a kid and I remember going when I was a kid too. Even at the new Albany location the food is served off a grill right across from the counter you sit at and I love that kind of restaurant. The food is always fast, you can see thats its made to order and is always super cheap, as is the case with this place. The dogs aren’t all beef but the awesome sauce more than makes up for it. Plus you get to support a small business while you’re on your downtown job lunch break or before/after Times Union Center.

A flimsy, no-nonsense hotdog for $ 1.75. Great for a cheap snack, and the sauce is very good! It was a bit watery and dripped off of my hotdog, but it had a really good smoky flavor with a slight kick. Don’t expect to be blown away, but a hot dog will set you back the change in your pocket, so definitely worth a try.

Summary– Slightly better than I remember from the one in Kingston, still not my favorite Michigan sauce. CASHONLY. Their wieners are pretty small(that’s what she said) I would say 3 makes a decent lunch. Food– 2.5 Stars Having been to all the best Michigan sauce places around Albany(Gus’s, Famous Lunch, Newest Lunch) I kinda had an idea of what to expect. This is an OK sauce at best IMO. The hot dog itself was still completely devoid of any bite or real flavor. I did like it that the mustard they use is Deli mustard. Atmosphere– 4 Stars Clean and new inside. Value– 3 Stars It’s cheap as hell(it’s also cheap as hell to make).
