Great stress free evening out! A bottle of Prosecco and some steaks perfectly cooked make for a good evening. Never fails to impress! D’Raymonds is the go to place for Italian. Very busy every night of the week. We ate at the bar and the bartender was fabulous, funny, and attentive! Tons of leftovers and great atmosphere! The people are friendly and the food is by far the best Italian we have had in decades next to Ferraris on Congress Street in Schenectady. Our meals were customized to suit our tastes without issue. Will continue to eat at this establishment as long as they remain open. Thank you D’ Raymonds! Class act.

Had not been in a few years, and now we remember why. The place is getting very old and just feels dingy and just plain dirty inside. Salad and pasta were very tasty so no issues there, but eggplant came out cold and of course when it was sent back it disrupted the timing of our meal. If you get a table in the middle be prepared for the people on either side of you to be virtually sitting in your laps. Am I also supposed to be tipping the hostess every time she seats me? I didnt think so but its the only explanation I can think for the hostesses at this joint being so unappreciative of this restaurant’s customers. Gave it yet another try but won’t be back.

Great evening. We got great food(especially for what we paid). Super affordable for those on a budget. The atmosphere and our waitress were wonderful. Highly suggest it!

Good food but used to be better. Portions are smaller than they were a couple years ago and the spaghetti doesn’t test as good as it used to.

The best chicken parmigiana I’ve ever had. Very large portions. You will have to make reservations in advance… weeks in advance it’s that good. Very friendly service, can’t wait to return.

The first time we came here we had no idea reservations were needed, but it’s totally worth the wait. My all time favorite is the clam pasta cooked with white wine. I recommend this place for anniversaries or any kind of celebration, great food, great atmosphere, good service.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Unbelievable. Started with the greens and beans and moved on to one of the best veal dishes I have had in a while. They served a complimentary pastry/breaded thing at the beginning that was just too sweet, but overall, this is ASGOODASITGETS. Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees.

Heard rave reviews so I tried the restaurant. I expected the fried donuts but they never appeared and the bread provided with the meal was less than mediocre. The Antipasto for 4 was very nice and the dishes we ordered were presented well. The pasta served with the meal tasted like an out of the box variety. The restaurant was crowded and space between tables was narrow making it difficult for the wait staff to attend properly to the tables. I’d pass on this restaurant.

Never been to this place before and found it on Unilocal because it had a good review. I went to lunch service at 12 and it was busy. A lot of people were there but we were able to get a seat. The food was delicious. I had brushetta which was a toasted Italian bread with tomato and small garlic pieces with melted mozzarella cheese. That was delicious and even came with extra sauce which I am a fan of. Then our main meals were the specials of the day. She orders this salmon dish which was a nice big piece of salmon. If I was a seafood eater I would of loved it lol. I ordered a chicken with a bourbon sauce which was a perfect balance of a lot of flavors going on. Came with a side of a choice of 3 types of noodles with red sauce. I am definitely coming back when I want some delicious Italian food. All together it was 58 dollars without the tip.(got a couple glasses of wine as well lol)

Took my girl’s parents there for a birthday. Place was very busy for a Monday night, but our server was good, really on his game. This was my first time here, so I was looking forward to trying it. I’m not a sauce Italian person, but every once in a while, it works and I had high hopes. I wished I could have given 3.5 Stars as 3 seemed too low given the service and some of the food, but 4 was too high given some of the shortcomings. Shortcomings: — Pasta is no longer made in house(waiter advised). I can get boxed anywhere — 7 of 10 desserts were not available The Good: — Server was great. I felt bad that he had to apologize for a lot. — Bread and spreads pre-meal. Very good. — Different menu — options. I’ll be honest, I liked that we tried, but I’m not sure it’s worth the drive when options in Clifton Park are better, or minimally, just as good.(See Nona Maria’s). The best way I can describe this place is an Olive Garden with a bit more personality… but what is that saying?

D’Raymonds is my go to Italian restaurant in the capital district. A lot of people prefer Café Italia over D’Raymonds as the top contender in the capital district but I feel the food is just as good at D’Raymonds and more reasonably priced. Be sure to call ahead with reservations, they can have a full house any day of the week with food like this. My top dishes are the lobster ravioli, pesce alfredo, and greens and beans, and be sure to listen to the nightly specials as well.

D’Raymonds is my FAV Italian restaurant! Hands down! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and super consistent! I’m super picky, and this is the only place I can order and eat random things off of the menu instead of sticking to one thing because everything always comes out delicious and never disappoints. ALWAYS make a reservation if you can, they can get pretty packed! People love their awesome food and homey atmosphere as well as the awesome staff! Love them!

As usual, incredible. Magnificent. We were tempted to try the incredible sounding specials, but we opted for our favorite dishes. French onion soup to start. Twin tornado for me and filet Mignon with broiled lobster tail for the hubby. Perfect. Mouthwatering. Phenomenal. Mmmmmmm

All of the standard red sauce favorites are represented on the menu, and based on our dishes the food is good, but not special, and it’s similar to any number of other Italian American joints in the area. The bread they bring to the table is good enough. The dish of three condiments for the bread is a nice touch. Ours came with a wonderful whipped butter. Our server brought us a plate of fried dough with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar, on the house, and it was good, but after eating Italian bread, yet another course of bread was overkill(and all of us had pasta coming too). I would’ve appreciated it much more if it were served after we finished our entrees, or maybe in place of the bread. Our entrees were for the most part tasty, but missteps were made in both our dishes. My wife’s pasta dish came with shrimp. The shrimp were dry, chewy, and overcooked. My chick parm had a soggy breading and my side of pasta was slightly overcooked. The portions are all huge, and the prices reasonable. If you like red sauce joints, you’ll love D’Raymonds. If – like me – you’re jaded and bored with Albany’s many, many, Italian American restaurants, then you’ll be glad D’Raymonds doesn’t suck.

Came here for dinner with friends. This place gets surprisingly busy so reservations are a must! The complementary bread with the 3 dipping sauces is any carbohydrate-lovers dream! We ordered an antipasto salad for 2(which really serves 4), which was good. I opted for the fried lobster, shrimp and chicken plate that came with a side of rigatoni. I regret not just getting a boiled lobster because I think a lot of the flavor was lost in the sea of fat and breading. despite that, it was very good though the rigatoni must have been out of the box pasta because it tasted artificial. My husband ordered the pesce Alfredo which is a divine dish with scallops, shrimp and lobster in a heavenly bed of delicious pasta. Definitely recommend it! Service was fantastic, ambience is nice, feels like a slightly upscale family establishment. Prices are more than reasonable because the portions are designed for sumo wrestlers. Definitely one of the better Italian places in town.

My friend who lives in Albany recommended this place, and I’m so glad she did! They have some great Italian food and the BEST servers. My boyfriend is super picky about food and he enjoyed everything. We got the penne vodka for an app, veal prosciutto and I ended up getting shrimp franchise with potatoes and vegetables. SOOOMUCHFOOD! I had a food baby after that meal. But so so worth it! The bartender, hostess, and our waitress were all outstanding.

I’m not sure which was better… the service or the veal. The veal was the freshest I have ever had and was lighted breaded and thin. The red sauce was fantastic with the right amount of spice kick on the finish. I wish I wasn’t leaving town in the morning bc I would eat here again. Call ahead as this place gets full quickly.

Just had lunch their with some business related friends. It was packed in the middle of the week at lunch time. Our food was all great, good prices and fresh meals. Service was fine. You really can’t go wrong here. It was well worth a second review.
