My family eats here at least once a week. The food and margaritas are great. The service is better than any other Mexican restaurant around.

My family was looking for some decent Mexican food in the Albany area and came across this place. Walking in it looked like it was in the middle of an identity crisis between a tiki bar and a school cafeteria. We weren’t greeted. We sat ourselves and waiting for a very long time for a server to even acknowledge our presence. There were at least five tables completely dirty with dishes and such still on them. Finally when the waitstaff came over he didn’t bring menus, he acted like he really didn’t care if we were there or not. They brought the usual chips and salsa, the chips were stale and old and the salsa was cheap store bought tasting. When the food came out, it was decent, nothing spectacular. I ordered a large, overpriced margarita that had barely any alcohol and was extremely disappointing for a Mexican restaurant. The place lacked any character, any resemblance to a Mexican restaurant. If you ever watch the show Kitchen Nightmares, this place would be a prime candidate. We definitely wouldn’t return — the price, the atmosphere, the waitstaff, and the lack of cleanliness… definitely not recommended!

Wait staff was good, food was decent. Menu was very expensive! My first margarita contained little to no alcohol, after complaining they made the second one better. Salsa served was disgusting, lacked spice/​heat. I probably will not be going back.

This is always a great choice for Mexican Food. They have been in business for as long as I can remember (since 1996 or before). One thing though, the salsa is not very consistent. Sometimes good, sometimes not.
