A variety of frozen treats are available from this food cart, which you’ll usually find parked outside the Legislative Office Building on weekdays at lunchtime during the warmer months. He may not be there if it’s raining, but expect a long line on the warmest and sunniest of days. They offer some homemade items and some brand name(Dove and Haagen Daaz, I believe?). But my favorite is the homemade italian ice, which comes in 10+ flavors for $ 2/$ 3 based on size. Delicious and guilt free! He’ll give you more than one flavor at no additional charge if you can’t decide. Try the lime and/or pinapple and/or piña colada.

I love italian ices, being an italian from Long Island… but honestly i prefer Ralph’s italian ices over this place anyday.

Guido’s has a cart on State St. right outside the Legislative Office Building and it’s become my Friday afternoon treat. He’s got multiple flavors of italian ice, some ben and jerry’s stuff and soft serve frozen yogurt. He’s a doll — always makes sure to give me extra napkins so I don’t make a mess of my work clothes and this past friday, because it was windy he gave me a dish with my cone on top so I wouldn’t loose my yogurt. He’s close, convenient and really sweet.
