Henry’s was a nice surprise for dinner while in town for business. Had the pecan glazed salmon with baked sweet potato and grilled asparagus. My dinner was excellent. The service was also excellent and very friendly. Will come back again when in town.

Good service and good eats. Had the country fried rib eye. It was DELISH! The steak was tender and probably the best breading I’ve ever had. The servings are generous and if you leave hungry it’s your fault. They don’t have beer on tap but have a great selection of bottled brews. It was very mellow on our visit but I imagine the place could become quite rambunctious when the Bulldogs are playing. Would I eat here again? You bet.

OMG! What a delightful find in Albany, GA! As a road warrior who eats out most every weeknight, I am always looking for good food, great service and an atmosphere where I don’t feel uncomfortable dining alone. I discovered Henry’s Fine Edibles on my last trip to Albany when my customer picked the restaurant for a business dinner. To be honest, I don’t remember much about the service except it was satisfactory – our conversation was extremely focused on and little attention was paid to anything else. I would definitely remember anything negative as I am quite particular about service – especially when I am entertaining customers. Obviously, the experience was enough to draw me back alone on this trip. I came in very early and sat at the bar. As mentioned in another review, there was a group of regulars at a long table. It’s obviously a comfortable place for these guys to gather and wind down at the end of the day. Kinda fun to listen to their banter… fun but not obnoxious and they were 5 feet from me. I found a good wine by the glass on the menu and ordered the special. The service was prompt and not overly friendly in the beginning. I was deep into my tablet still working. The two women behind the bar were attentive and checked on me at the appropriate times. The grouper special was great and it felt like comfort food. Beth(the manager) made sure I was well served and satisfied with everything. If you haven’t tried Henry’s Fine Edibles, give it a try. You won’t find a stuffy white table cloth kinda place, but rather a warm and inviting local place that will leave you feeling mighty fine! I’ll definitely be back – maybe tomorrow night to try the steak:-)

Compared to Henry Campbell’s, this place rates far below. If your”re looking for a loud, casual, bar-type restaurant… look no further. Bring your friends, talk as loud as you want, watch the game on tv and hope the only waitress on your side of the restaurant remembers that you’re there. Perhaps I was thrown off by the name of the place…“Fine Edibles”. My hubby and I dressed in our casual best looking for a quiet atmosphere with fine food. Wrong. Add some smoke to the air and you’re pretty much at the local bar down the road. Or Applebees. The food was«okay». Nothing amazing. The waitress was a bit overwhelmed for a Thursday night. We plan on sticking to Henry’s Fine Edibles sister restaurant«Henry Campbell’s». Much better food, quieter atmosphere, and far better service.

The five star rating is well deserved because this restaurant, in a humble setting, absolutely delivered on all fronts: Service, Taste, Selection(both food and drink), and Price. I arrived early. Really early. I was greeted promptly and had a beer in my hand within a minute. The service was really friendly. When the server was describing the steak to me, the head cook actually came out to shed more light on the process. That’s something I don’t normally see – and I was impressed. The bar manager, Terry, keeps everyone happy. A crowd had formed on the deck as I was dining and Terry knew everyone AND what they drank before they asked. My fried green tomatoes(topped with scallop sauce, crabmeat, and bacon) were unbelievable, as was the«Pittsburgh» style ribeye that I ate. If you happen to be in the Albany, GA area, or have reason to drive to it, you HAVETO check this place out.

Came in for dinner and got the fried green tomatoes, 16oz new york strip, and my colleague got the tuscan chicken pasta. The green tomatoes were fantastic, they went very well with the crab meat. The NY strip was good, cooked to a perfect medium rare but was a bit salty for my taste. However, my colleague’s tuscan chicken pasta was mediocre at best. It sat in a puddle of broth and was incredibly greasy. Service was good, and our waitress was attentive to our needs. Ambiance is nice in here, plenty of TV’s decorating the walls. They looked liked they had a well-stocked bar as well, I’ll have to make a trip back sometime.

Exceptional food and service! Must try the fried green tomatoes topped w/crab meat and scallop sauce as an app. The grilled grouper and NY Strip are both tasty as well. Really great that you can request your steak to be cooked several different methods like my personal favorite, Pittsburgh style. My wife and I eat here at least 1 – 2 a month, and probably the best compliment that I can give outside of the great food is consistency. Every time we go we know we’re in for a great meal.

I guess by virtue of the latest reviews, if they were legitimate, the house has made some adjustments to service and quality. I might go back.

GREATFOOD&VERYCHARMING little place!!! Was in town on business and after talking to locals I learned there wasn’t much choice in Albany other than corporate, but several of them suggested I try Henry’s Fine Edibles. It’s tucked away in a little corner, not a lot to look at from the outside but the service & food was stellar! I had the blackened grouper. As I was sitting at my table(sipping on their ‘The Lady Godiva’ martini) I kept seeing all these people walking back and forth going inside then out again, and I was thinking what is going on? Well I decided to find out and was very surprised to find a deck full of people out back, laughing, drinking and some eating! Will be back if ever in Albany again.

Food =?(just go to the bathrooms… or look around, if you think this place looks run down, think what condition the kitchen must be in) Price = 3 Experience = 2(it’s a shabby, too dark, strip mall café)
