I love having this tiny little place downtown. The coffee is very good and reasonably priced. I greatly also appreciate that this place is only a half a block from where I work on Broadway. No need to walk up to the big chains up on Pearl Street.

JavaMan Coffee is a nice alternative to all of the chain coffee shops in downtown Albany. Four or five different varieties of coffee are served daily, along with all of the froufrou drinks people seem to want these days. A selection of pastries and desserts are also for sale, along with sandwiches, soups and salads. I’ve never eaten the food, though it all looks and sounds good. I go to JavaMan for coffee and they serve a solid cup of joe. I only gave 4 stars, as it’s not as HOT as I want my coffee before I dump a ton of milk in, but it’s tasty. The staff are all friendly and they offer a frequent buyer card which is useful when you work nearby.
