The absolute rudest baristas. Starbucks decadence is influenced by such careless employees, or maybe they don’t get paid enough? Regardless, as customers we should not take those hits.

I visited this location so many times in the last 3 days that the staff were about to memorize my name and choice of drink. I’ve ordered a couple of different drinks and consistently received excellent quality. Thank you for providing the much needed caffein to battle the need for sleep during the«amazingly exciting» lectures I was listening to.

Came here on a Monday at 1pm to get a small lunch and a cold drink while I was in town. Barely any sandwiches or boxes left. Lots of signage for the new«Mango Black Tea Lemonade» drink, but alas, was told they did not have the mango purée and would not have any until at least Wednesday. Ordered the Very Berry Hibiscus instead. After paying, the barista making my drinks told me they were out of raspberries. So I wound up taking a Strawberry Acai instead. It’s also pretty disgusting when one of the baristas making the drinks is coughing up a storm while handling and making drinks. VERY glad that I was only in Albany for a short stay and that my hotel provided 24-hour free coffee. My local Starbucks in NJ(and my go-to in NYC) really put this one to shame.

Tried to get some Starbucks coffee on a Sunday and they closed 10mins before they were supposed to…

So sad this Starbucks I again applaud the nice people working here but yet again today their case was bare. They only stock in items on Mon Wed Fri. Starbucks is telling me to go elsewhere with my money the other days of the week. Thank goodness for the new place across the street.

Honestly, I don’t know how to rate Starbucks since I don’t drink coffee. I come here because I work across the street, it’s a good little hang out when I don’t want to go back to the office, their rewards program is pretty cool and I don’t have to carry cash because it’s all loaded up on my phone. I basically drink iced teas while I’m here because they aren’t terribly priced. Some of the baristas are awesome… they work fast and remember you, and some are dreadfully slow especially when the line is pretty long at 3pm everyday. Typical Starbucks experience I think.

How ironic that this indoor starbucks is interconnected to an indoor bank like they’re some sort of capitalist greed siamese monster. One can’t survive without the other like prostitutes can’t survive without pimps. A lot of things in the capital region are backwards. For instance, tons of crosswalks have no pedestrian lights. As a pedestrian in downtown Albany, I’ve almost gotten hit by a car many a time because the driver forgot to yield; and so the non-existence of walk lights only fuel their ignorance and exponentially increase the odds of one getting inexplicably run over. It’s a paradox that the place known for legislation hasn’t done anything about legislating safer conditions for pedestrians. Another thing that’s a paradox is that this particular starbucks is quite close to an area of Albany known for intense hipsters, seeing as it represents exactly what the hipster mentality stands against. The hipster cluster is close enough that they can take all their Jeep Grand Wagoneers, unprescribed thick-rimmed glasses, beards, crotch-suffocating jeans, and sailor tattoos; and drive here in a few minutes to form a protest rally against cronyism. It would make this place feel less boring I suppose. But who am I to judge? Please don’t sue me Starbucks(@__@). I like paying over 2 hard-earned dollars for a small cup of hot tea being served here. The tea being pretty good is the deal-maker. Fun Fact: This place is currently sponsoring«Oprah Chai Tea», so by now it has been beyond established that Starbucks is controlled by Satan. But you knew this already.

Really nice inside, although can be a little confusing getting in because It is part of the bank. Staff was friendly, although seemed to focus more on each other then the customers. Never had a problem with my drinks.

I’m a usual here, but the people that work here are great. Very friendly and try and get you out as fast as possible when your in a rush. I enjoy my coffee but I enjoy the people working there just as much.

I don’t like Starbucks. I am offended by the fact that they intentionally burn their beans. I avoid them at all costs. But there are times when I’m downtown and want a cappuccino. It’s after 5, so Stagecoach is closed, and Starbucks is still open. The layout is really weird, and the first time you go in, it’s a bit disorienting, but once you’ve figured it out… well, it’s still weird. I always get my drink to go, so I can’t speak about the seating areas, but it seems like they’re doing the best they can with the space they have. The employees are competent and not too slow. As infrequently as I go in there, I usually see the same girl who greets me like she knows me. It’s nice to feel welcomed like that. But I really, really hate their coffee, so I can’t give them any more stars.

Slowest Starbucks ever. At least one employee is always doing nothing. Not sure what the lack of communication here is, but I know Starbucks trains their employees better than that. It’s also a weird Kiosk type location, which I am sure doesn’t help matters. Regardless, if there was a really good alternative in the area(which there isn’t), I would be going there instead.

This Starbucks is one of the few things I miss about Albany. Say what you will about the quality of coffee(I like it, some do not) but the service here is top notch. Never was I given a drink that was made incorrectly, even in a rush(parade days, for example) and never was I given a bad attitude from the baristas. They quickly became my source of venting when I came in daily out of frustration at my job and made sure I was taken care of. Drinks are always delicious here. They take time to make them and are always happy to suggest new drinks when you just don’t know what you want. I have yet to find another Starbucks like this one. The only downside is that it is tricky to find if you have not been there before. It’s in the Citizens Bank atrium. A+!

Well, I’m not going to rant about what constitutes good coffee, but I actually enjoy soymilk in my coffee, *coughs* Ticia. Anyway, so this Starbucks is located in an atrium alongside Citizens Bank. This begged the question of whether or not this is a franchise, but I was informed it wasn’t. This Starbucks lacks food! They have your basics, but not the salads or sandwiched to which I’ve grown accustomed. They didn’t even have the breakfast sandwiches! I attribute this to their lack of an oven. What they lack in food, they do make up for in service. They are normally fairly fast and I’ve never had a drink made incorrectly. If you’re staying in the Hampton Inn & Suites, then you can easily pick up a quick coffee here before continuing on with your day. I often park on Pearl and tempt fate to ticket me since I don’t put money in the meters; I mean come on I’m only going to be a few minutes. So, I would give this Starbucks one more star, but the lack of wifi, an oven, food, few seats, and overall kiosk air can’t seem to make up for their good service.

i am torn on the number of stars here.(or perhaps i should call them Chars? one of david’s friends recently called them Charbucks and while it isn’t the first time i had heard it, i once again realized how appropriate it is.) i mean if it is solely on the quality of the coffee then i would give it a 1* status. their coffee sucks ass. bigtime. they burn their beans. what cracks me up about that is that somehow they have convinced people that burnt beans means More Caffeine. it has become a status of ‘cool’ in our society to be addicted to caffeine. stating that you ‘just Have to have you cup of coffee every morning or else you are simply not fit for human company’ has some how become cool. how ridiculous is that? ‘i simply Have to have my heroin every morning or i am just a Bear to deal with.’(that is if bears did heroin…) and thus, the More caffeine that we get, the cooler we are. so, nope people. there is Not more caffeine if the bean tastes more bitter.(that is espresso people. go for the concentrate) but then comes my problem. how can a place that is all about coffee not in fact be all about it? they have gotten everything else(well almost. the stupid names for the sizes is out of hand) down. the atmosphere is wonderful. the lighting is soft and inviting. the cushy chairs great and the tables appealing. they offer great other stuff like good music and nice, well-made mugs. they even offer soymilk for those who are lactose intolerant or veggies.(i promise not to rant about this but do they really have no clue? soymilk sucks!!! in coffee. it makes it all watery and even more gross and disgusting. stupidheads). and wifi is always a plus. so, they deserve at least 4 stars for everything else and 1 for the nasty brew they serve up. sigh. thank god for tea.
