Jay Vee Liquors has a nice selection of mainstream and some microbrews. some priced, some not. hard liquors, convenience items too. buys: guiness beer(3.19 +? =3.83) –math doesn’t add up, just chalked it up to experience. . notes: –friendly service but…

I live in the neighborhood and have gone here for years but I’l never go back. The guy wouldn’t take my $ 10 bill because he thought it was counterfeit. I thought he was joking. It was old, but clearly not counterfeit. I even showed him how to tell if a bill is counterfeit by looking at the red and blue silk threads. He didn’t believe me and wouldn’t take it. I took it and spent it somewhere else and I’l never go back.

Pretty good typical corner-store type liquor store. I live around the corner so I’m in here all the time. Service is good, the staff are friendly and surprisingly talkative once you’ve been in a few times. They’re quick and efficient. Prices on beer and spirits are the usual for this type of place(that is to say, high). Subtract 1 star because the Beef Sticks I sometimes impulse-buy at the counter are, more often than not, expired and pretty gross.
