I have always been a Macy’s fan. I shop there quite often. They don’t have a great boys clothing selection but their women’s dept is fairly well stocked as is their handbag dept. I recently used their online app and ordered my husbands birthday present… I paid extra for shipping but his present (a fossil watch) arrived on time and came nicely packaged with a card. The problem is that I asked for all price tags to be removed and they forgot the one on the watch… The price isn’t listed on the packing slip or anywhere else but on the underside of the watch… I was so bummed… I didn’t want him to know what I spent… Otherwise I really enjoy shopping at Macy’s and really love their Chanel makeup counter!

I usually hate Macy’s, but this one is not bad. I got some great pillows here on sale from around $ 250 to $ 100. They’re also pretty helpful at the makeup counters.

I have never been a big fan of any chain stores and especially department stores, but Macy’s in Albany is different. I am not saying that they have the best customer care reps in the world but they are as good as it gets in Albany. It is hard to find one right away but once you have their attention, they are very helpful. They will not only help with selection of the goods but also advise you about the best time to buy it so you can get the best deal.
They are always pleasant while dealing with customers. I have been here many times during my stay in Albany and surely miss it now when I am in cleveland.

Had an extremely negative experience at the Clinique counter at the Crossgates Macy’s. While I normally wouldn’t rate an entire department store based on a single employee interaction, I’ve consistently found this Macy’s location to have employees who are less helpful than the Colonie Center location.
