Good basic deli food, Sort of a cafeteria style setup for lunch and you just find yourself a seat. The food is good but in my opinion not great. I certainly would go there if I was in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way to have lunch there. Prices are a bit on the high side but I’m sure the rent of Wolfe Road as well as it’s in a part of town that many people are staying at local hotels I’m sure it’s a better deal than dining at a hotel dining room.

Haven’t been there in a few years. Back then it was good, but now… stale bread and a thin over priced crappy sandwich. Subway now beats Maurices. I’ll never go back!

Nothing on my receipt was correct — there were four errors and the end result was we overcharged by about $ 4 for two people. Meat portions were a little light compared to other delis; sandwhich was nothing special.

Charge extra for cheese, servers a bit unfriendly, and it tastes like I just paid a 100% mark up for food I can find in my fridge.

This is a very solid sandwich place that was suggested by a coworker for lunch. I had the half roast beef sandwich and cup of soup special and was quite pleased. The roast beef was very tender and I had it on wheat bread with lettuce, tomato and mayo. The soup I selected with the New England Clam Chowder and it was very good. If I hadn’t been 3 hours away from home, I might have bought a larger container to bring home. Service is cafeteria style with do it yourself soda pours. Pricing was very reasonable(around $ 8 for soup, sandwich and bottled ice tea). I think this is a popular lunch time spot because all the parking spaces out front are in high demand during peak lunch hours. No matter … I parked in the lot on the side. Service was good. I would come back here again.

The staff is so unpleasant– Especially the blonde who works there! I have been 3 times since it is nearby where I work but I do not think I will be visiting again! They certainly do not treat the customer as if they need by business, so I will be doing them a favor and not stopping by anymore!

The food is pretty good but the staff is so unfriendly. Definitely takes away from the experience. This place is near my work and for a while we went regularly and I was shocked at how consistently rude the staff is. They look at you like you have 2 heads. And don’t even think about asking them a question. There are 10 other delis in a 2 mile radius. Google one of the others and go there.

Summary– Mediocre Roast Beef sandwich place is mediocre. Food– 2.5 Stars. I find their roast beef sammy’s to be OK but nothing special. Compared to what I used to get in Eastern MA at the local RB places around there they are very meh. The RB is overcooked for me and the amount is also lacking. The Au Jus helps, but I prefer just straight horseradish and let the RB be delicious enough to make the au jus a side. I also don’t like the rye they use but their kaiser rolls are OK. Sides are meh, soups are OK. This is what I am talking about– Service– 3 Stars Friendly usually but can be full on soup nazi-esque when busy, but not as Surly as downtown location. Atmosphere– 3 Stars It has a cafeteria feel indeed. As noted sometimes there are very few clean tables. Value– 3 Stars It’s not expensive and the food is decent.

This is a pretty standard«carry your own tray» Deli place. I like this place because you can get a hot Pastrami Sub for about $ 7 bucks. Pour your own soda, bags of chips, plastic containers of pasta and potato salads… it has a cafeteria feel. But again, its cheap… friend and I ate a good lunch for around $ 17 total. You’ll get your food quick, but don’t expect the dining room to be clean especially during lunch. I like it over fast food in a heartbeat and will go there over the chain sub shops if I’m in the area and want a quick lunch.

This place smells like a deli. I have no idea what the smell is, but it really brings me back. Too many places smell like nothing. But no deli of my past specialized in hot sliced roasted beef sandwiches au jus. That is the thing to get at Maurice’s and it is the sole thing(well that and the smell) the 4* are based upon. I knew enough to ask for the sandwich on a hard roll, and I thought onion would be a tastier choice than plain. But as a newbie to the scene, I was unsure if there were any toppings that should go on the signature sandwich. The man slicing the meat suggested jus and the possibility of horseradish sauce or maybe some Swiss cheese. I took him up on the jus and sauce. The sandwich was tasty, juicy and tender, if a bit delicately flavored. I miss the full in-you-face beefiness of the beef on weck I had outside of Buffalo. Thus the missing star. Oddly, there is an Arby’s right next door. Why on earth would anyone get the affront to nature that is the Arby’s roast beef sandwich, when they can get the real deal a few feet to the left at Maurice’s? Maybe people see the long line, have roast beef on the mind, and decide to crap out and take the fast food option. Don’t do it. The line moves quickly. And you will be rewarded for your patience with a superior sandwich.
