Extremely over priced for a pie. The waiter was great, but getting over the prices is just to much. It’s not that good it’s okay but nothing worth the loud crowd.

This has been a review that should have been written a while ago. My wife and I love coming here, getting some baked wings, a pie and good craft brews. Most of the servers are excellent, especially if they know thier selection and they will even make some recommendations for you. Some nights, it is hit or miss, but mostly hits. We have not had any bad experiences here and we will be coming back weekly. Give all thier pies a try and find one you like… ours is the mowie wowie.

Might be the best restaurant in Albany, GA. Might be the only vegan available after dark. Might be my least favorite Mellow Mushroom property in the chain. Place was absolutely packed and loud on Friday night. Took a seat at the bar and had a cold one while ordering my portobello ruben sans cheese. Doors to an outside seating area were constantly opened by servers and patrons going back and forth. That’s where the smokers were eating and that’s why the smoke was pouring into the bar area making it miserable. Mellow is one of my favorite places and I look for them in every city. This particular one was disappointing.

The pizza was amazing as always. We ordered the Kosmic Karma, a hoagie, cheesy bread, and a cheese pizza. With drinks, the total for 5 people was about $ 70. Very expensive even though the quality was great. The waiter was not the best. He seemed as if he didn’t want to be there. We had someone with us that had never been there before. She didn’t have a menu and simply asked if the hard chicken strips. The waiter seemed offended and gave us a speech about the fact that they don’t fry anything. All she needed was a «no» and pass out the menus. Asking for a refill seem to pain this guy. Just frustrating when you spend $ 70. Hopefully, the next visit will be better.

We came here this past Sunday after church. It wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be. We got seated right away, but waited a bit for our waiter. He was really nice but really did not seem in a hurry to bring us our drinks. We ordered pretzels for an appetizer and those took forever! They were hard and crispy instead of soft like I’ve normally had them. Finally our meal came. When we wanted our check, it seemed like our waiter was just taking his time and hanging out in the kitchen talking with his buddies. I felt like we were in there way too long, but I do like their food, so that won’t keep me from going back.

My daughters and I love this place. They love it for the pizza and I love it for the beer selection — ok — and the pizza is pretty darn good too! They just repainted the exterior and it looks awesome inside and out now. I always try to have a «helpful» suggestion on how a place could provide a better experience but in this case I cant.

I travel to Albany often for work and have never had a bad meal at this establishment. The only reason I rate a 4 instead of a 5 is due to the occasional slow service received. I also disagree with some of the previous reviews regarding the food being pricey. I think for the amount of food you are receiving and the freshness of ingredients you will be eating, you are well within the price range one would expect. Last month, there was a limited run pizza menu with their South of the Border pizza. It was delicious, and I can only hope this gets brought back!

I have eaten here several times while in or near Albany. The Holy Shitake pizza is a must if you like mushrooms. One of the best pizzas I’ve eaten!

Yummy! I know all Mellow Mushroom’s are not created equal. I also know that nothing will ever beat my very first MM experience when I lived in Charlottesville, VA… but this came soooooo close. We got a large Mighty Meaty to go and it was scrumptious! Hopefully will visit again before rolling out. You definitely have Raleigh, NC Wake Forest, NC Cary, NC And Greenville, NC BEAT! SEEYOUSOON!

I disagree that it’s «pricey.» For the quality and variety of ingredients the prices are just what I would expect. Had the mushroom pizza with truffle oil it was DELICIOUS. Small Greek salad was also very good and enough for two(making it a great deal for $ 4.99.) husband had pepperoni calzone which he also thought was very good and he is pretty picky about his pizza/calzones. The bloody Mary I had before dinner was also perfect and I really enjoy a salted rim(although they probably should have asked as some people might not.) We were just waiting out a storm so as I cannot see myself having any reason to return to Albany, GA I doubt I will return but I would recommend it as the food was above average and the staff were very friendly. Our bill was $ 36 for a drinks from the bar, a small Greek salad, a 10 inch specialty pizza, and a very large calzone.

don’t know much about the pizza but their wings are fantastic — if I’m in albany and wanting wings I come here — i prefer the sweet Thai chili but haven’t been disappointed by any of their flavors — service can be slow at times but that seems typical for all the spots in albany

Still a fan. I have visited one in TN and two in different GA cities and they never dissapoint. Great pizza(this time the Jamaican jerk, the Bayou and Maui versions are good too), great service and great adult beverages. What more can one ask for? Well, I could ask for one thing… more toppings please?! But hey, my waistline could use less anyway so why complain.

We went last night to have some drinks and pizza and listen to some music on the back patio. It did not start off too well. We asked for a table outside to listen to the music and there was a guy that jumped the line in front of a few of us to get a large group in there because someone had just gotten up from a bunch of tables connected together and he just came in from outside. The waitress that found this out went a little nuts over it and was pretty loud about how she was going to kick him out now. I didn’t think the guy was right for doing this, but she didn’t need to make a scene like that in front of us. She berated the host for«allowing» this to happen, because she was under the impression that he told him he could do this, and honestly that never happened. The guy just kind of strong-armed the host a bit and didn’t let him say anything and went outside and did what he wanted. Anyway, so she was very rude, but we still got a table and everyone else was very nice. They were a bit busy so the service was kind of slow, but everything else was really great. The food was good, the drinks were boozy, and the music was outstanding. We got to listen to Lindsey Short and the guy is just really talented. The pizza was the«House Special» and it was delicious. The crust was just right for me and the toppings were fantastic. I could have probably used a bit more bacon, though. I had the tye-dye Margarita and it was okay. They forgot the salt/sugar on the rim, though. I also tried the Blueberry Lemonade and it was kind of disgusting. I had a Caribbean Sunrise(I think that is what it was called) and it was pretty good. The last two were drink specials so I just tried them because I wanted to have a few drinks and not pay too much. Either way it was a good night out. I won’t forget that waitress, though. I’ll be sure to never get her at my table. I’ll walk out first. She is a nasty character. Just a little side note: They had a 100 health score.

The house pizza was great, then add the Thai chill wings and now it’s a party!!! I think they have a live band on Friday nights… The trumpet player played 2 versions of Happy Birthday for someone & that was awesome! To make the night better, I finally had a chance to try the tie-dye margarita!!! It was ALL that & some… Just take a look at the picture!

The prices are high, the toppings are extremely skimpy. This is not a good choice if you are looking for a good pizza. They do have some cool shirts though.

The pizza is good for this area, which isn’t saying much since this is Albany. The Mellow Mushroom is pricey for what you get, and dissuades many of my coworkers who have traveled extensively and know what great pizza is from patronizing this restaurant on a more frequent basis. This pizza would be considered mediocre in any area with a few decent pizza places. That being said, one of the best options around for a decent pie. Their sandwiches and sides aren’t bad either. Nothing fantastic, but not bad. Where this Mellow Mushroom shines is the customer service and cleanliness. Customer service in the Albany area is almost nonexistent. I have eaten at the Mellow Mushroom numerous times, and without fail the customer service has been fantastic. I’m always greeted with a smile, the wait staff is always attentive and friendly, and the service is timely. The employees at this location seem diligent in their work and immediately clean up when a group leaves from a table. Even wiping down the bench seating in the booths. A small touch but appreciated because that is typically the filthiest thing at a restaurant. Due to the fantastic customer service, and cleanliness at Mellow Mushroom I continue to occasionally patronize this establishment.

The pizza is off the chain good. Service was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu. We sat on the patio which was screened in and with the fans blowing is was not bad at all. That night they were having live music which my party all enjoyed. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good time and good eats.

Great food and cool atmosphere! You can’t go wrong with the pizza, but the sandwiches are tasty as well. They have daily drink specials and a decent beer selection. Our favorite pizza is the House Special, which is basically mellow’s version of the supreme. The crust is airy, with a nice crunch, lots of flavor and the toppings are all fresh. My wife and I usually split a medium, and it’s always plenty for the two of us. Great service and food for Albany!

Good atmosphere and enjoyed the live music on the screened patio. Beer selection could use some improvement but for the area and the locals, I’m sure it’s a decent selection. I’ve never ordered food here so I cannot speak to that. The crowd tends to be on the more inebriated side and a bit younger, too.

Great pizza here. They have all different kinds of flavors and toppings, some on the bizarre side, but each timed that I have tried one I’ve never been disappointed. If you want to try some weird pizza combinations then give this place a shot. Big restaurant and there is also a bar here. I will be back.
