Eating here actually made me feel sorry for Canada. What if people think this is what Canadian food tastes like? Or, more accurately, doesn’t taste like. The fries were mushy and had no flavor(salt would have done wonders), the cheese curds had no flavor, and the gravy had no flavor. The plastic fork was OK. There was a puddle of water in the bottom of the container. Poutine should not be served on a bed of water. Also, after we were nearly done, I found(uncooked) bacon bits in the tray. Not a huge deal for me, but if I were vegetarian or Kosher, it would have been a big, big problem. I’ve been to Canada, and I’ve had poutine. While my fiancé insists that none of it was just right, everything I tried had well-seasoned, non-mushy fries, cheese that tasted like cheese, and thick, hearty gravy. This is very, very different. Also, at 6 pm on a Saturday, they were out of all sandwich meat and hot buffalo sauce. So, the first four things we ordered, they didn’t have. I wound up with BBQ wings, which were fine, but not enough to make me go back. There are plenty of other options in the food court. We could have gotten something equally unhealthy but a lot tastier(and cheaper) at Taco Bell or Wendy’s.
