Love the idea and I think it’s a good location. It is charming in its own way but it needed a few more bells and whistles to get it to a 4 star place for me. Menu is simple, but I have no problem with that. Clams, shrimp, cod. What else could you need. The cod was excellent, flaky, crispy, and huge. The clams were quite respectable in their own right. The bun used leaves something to be desired but hose are just the carbs so I wouldn’t focus on that. They have several different dipping sauces for every palate. The fries are good, but they are pre made. So that was a negative for me, I think it would be worth them making their own. There are a few seats at the bar but not the place to come if you have a huge party, there’s just not enough room. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely give this place and try and see what you think. These small local businesses really need our support!

First off. Nice to be able to get a fish fry in walking distance in center square. Second. Costumer service is excellent. I have talked with the owner. He is very nice. Twice he has offered a bit more than what I paid for. He is working on growing the business and has asked for input on what I would like to see on the menu. I hope this place does well. The fish fry is good as well as the clam roll. The menu is simple but that’s welcomed at this sort of place. There is a wide assortment of custom sauces which i actually haven’t tried yet.

Freshly made to order. Waited 10 minutes for our fish and chips. Fish was longer than the bun:) Crispy batter with moist cod with a decent amount of fries. I couldn’t finish it. Co-owner was very friendly.

Awesome owner with good food and a newly expanded menu to include chicken strips and clam/shrimp. Sauces are good — mango habanero is delicious if you can handle the heat. Potatoes are cut right in front of you and fresh fried every time. Reasonable prices too.

Best fish fry in the area! The variety of flavor options and the presentation take fish fry to another level. The people are really nice too.

Really good work on fresh cut French fries and fried cod. I don’t love the Capital Region’s habit of put fried fish on rolls, but tartar sauce is here plentiful. Like how they’ve cleaned up counter and re-covered the swiveling seats.

This place is nice. It used to be kind of a bad hole as hot dog heaven, but it is a good fish fry. One thing only on the menu, a nice piece of cod. He pushes a potato through a cutter and fries it perfectly. The fish has a nice light flavor and served on one of those newspaper looking papers that are so common now. It is no thrills and he plans to add clams and scallops to the menu, but really fish fry needs to be light and quality, which this place is. I will come back for lunch again.
