Food= off the shelf or store bought, Décor=south charm. Overall the food does not match the décor and misleading. The food is all box and mix store bought and the«made in house» desserts are a cake mix with store bought icing. I would not come back here, actually subway provides a better lunch experience. Oh and I don’t even care for subway.

Soooooo good! Seriously you guys a must try. Albany doesn’t have anything else like it. The menu is fresh and clean, my favorite is between the Philly cheesesteak or one of the creative burgers if I’m really hungry. I get the steak or one of the chef special on Friday nights. Their cakes are awesome too! I just love the environment, it’s so eclectic, especially with the live music on Friday nights. I wish I could go more but I always recommend it to friends, it’s a must see totally local and family owned business:)))

Update: The hours are not as reported here. They actually open at 11 am. Also, if new in town, take South Jackson to West Broad and not what the GPS tells you or you’ll be going in circles — there is no «Oglethorpe Alley». Great for large work lunch parties! Open, airy, gorgeous place. Affordable delicious foods! Great chef. Typical meals around $ 8. Buffet and salad bar available.

I am not super religious and from a big northern city. The name made me nervous and I heard people mention it can be expensive. I had lunch here on 1⁄8. They had recently moved. In fact, we tried to have lunch the day before and ate at their former neighbor. I won’t name names but if you find your GPS taking you to the old address– turn and walk around the corner to your intended destination. The neighbor– friendly staff– not great for lunch. I cannot be happier we tried again the next day and found it. The space is amazing. Like I wan to fly everyone I love south and get married there amazing. Exposed brick, tin ceilings, a loft space such classic southern charm in all décor. The hostess shook the hand of everyone in our party. Again… northerner– this was a little too much hospitality for me BUT I appreciate the sentiment. Our waitress was sweet and knowledgeable. I ordered a gourmet grilled cheese which was mozzarella, pesto and tomato. Such an overdone combination but wow I just love it and will order it every time. The bread could have been more special for a place with bread in the name but it wasnt bad. The ingredients were perfect as expected. Side salad with ranch. I do appreciate how the area in general seemed to embrace my love of ranch. Definitely not something we have as much of up here. My companion had the pimento grilled cheese. I feel like there may have been bacon on it also. He loved it. I was a little jealous because what even is pimento cheese– so I should have ordered something regional. Finally — price– I paid. It was less than $ 20 total before tip for both of us. My frame of reference is not local. To me– this is a great deal. It may be regionally expensive. We also didn’t drink so perhaps that was where the difference would have been. The menu was limited but I like that. Do what you do, and do it well. They did. If my travels take me back through I will most definitely be back.
