Father’s Day 2016 We went to the drive through and ordered the Family Feast The ribs & chicken were completely dried out & tasteless. The sliced pork was tasteless & smelled funny.
This was the worst meal I’ve ever had & my whole family agrees. We will never go back & will encourage others not to patronize this establishment. My son who is disabled paid for this as a gift for fathers day.

I’ve been back twice since I reviewed them last. I normally enjoy Sonny’s very much, but sometimes they can miss the mark. That doesn’t mean this place is not great.
I took my mom a couple of weeks ago and the food was great.
I took my family tonight and the service was equally great, but they also knew that I had a complaint before. Most of the time that is not the case and the food and service are still excellent.
Either way the smoked chicken was very succulent and the ribs were juicy. They were a little greedy on the double order of fries for a «feast,» but it was all good nonetheless.
The fried okra was decent and piping hot.
Finally, the service was great on both of my recent visits. Jessica was working the floor with everyone and serving appetizers. Tarica was friendly and attentive to every table around us.
Overall, it was a great experience tonight. We even had plenty of leftovers.

I’m a fan of Sonny’s, on their good days they are better than the new fancy BBQ places that are popping up.
But here and today, I had a late lunch and certainly got the left overs.
My chicken so dry, a crab would have to have brought a cantine

Just don’t. waitress was absurdly slow. The restaurant was so warm, outside was even cooler. End up taking the food to-go, which took forever too. Food wasn’t good, the couple behind us complaint too. So it wasnt just us.

I placed my order for a rib kid meal I was told nicely the meal is 7.99 with a choice of juice or a 20oz fountain drink for $ 1 I was extremely hurt my favorite place has had a big increase.
Nothing good last forever.

Had a bad experience today with this place normally the ribs are good and tender but today they was yesterday ribs I assume very dry and burnt to the core. I took my mother and she said the same thing something went wrong today not like My sonny’s Bbq.

The service is ALWAYS friendly… It’s ALWAYS clean… and the food is ALWAYS amazing! Love the HUGE glasses of sweet tea!
It’s a chain that has its act together.

Ordered dry rub ribs. They were cooked and seasoned perfectly! Way more food than I can eat at one meal. Sonny’s is consistently good, no matter where you go!

Brisket is very bland. Beans were undercooked and too sweet. Service was good which is why they got the second star. Would go across the street to Blackbeards for better flavor.

The food is overpriced and adequate. The BBQ rib portions are small and they were burnt on the bottom. Riverfront BBQ or Blackbeards would be a much better choice.
