My wife and I stopped by for an early dinner, no wait and we were seated right away. This is not our first time here and we knew what we wanted to order. Unfortunately, it did take the waitress a little longer than usual before she came by to take our order. We noticed that there were a couple more draft beer options, or maybe we just didn’t notice… either way we ordered some Shock Top’s. One of the reasons we come here is for the fried green tomatoes and the St Louis style ribs. With the tomatoes, it’s a hit and miss, but mostly hit and they come out quick. They use a tasty batter when they fry them up so give them a try. The ribs are also good with a couple of sauces on the side to lather them up. I like the vinegar based sauce as it has that kick to it. We haven’t tried the other food options there, especially the fried fish, but maybe if we can break away from the ribs, it’ll be an option.

Consistent food and service are guaranteed at this established restaurant. My catfish were a bit greasy this time, but if you can stand the large tables of noisy customers, you should give this place a try.

Wondering if this is the right restaurant or not… With all the great reviews! Here with a group of 17 … No one else in the restaurant. Should have been an indicator. Ordered country style steak and would have been better off to order cardboard. Five members got food 30 minutes after the rest. Service was great… But not the food!

Dried up food and I wished I would have taken a picture of what came in my red wine glass, yuk it was the old left over scum from the«Lambrusco bottle». They tried to convince me that it was natural to have left over fruit in the bottles. What?

The food is good. The variety of choices are superb. The service is good. But there is one continuing annoyance with this place that we cannot get resolved. We have spoken with our wait persons and we have spoken with the shift managers to no effect. Our problem is with the food runners. During the cold and flu season you don’t want people peppering your food with their spittle. Yet, every time they bring our food they engage in a question and answer session with us with our food only inches from their mouth. I will applaud this place for hiring high schoolers. But this place is a prime example of why food handlers should be required to undergo a mandatory class on the do’s and don’ts of food delivery. They season the food very well here. I don’t need the extra flavoring of their employees’ spit in my food. Food runners who do this and carry food next to their hair are huge pet peeves of ours.

Stopped for lunch on a Sunday. Delicious food, large portions, super friendly service. Our group had the brisket platters and a shrimp poor boy. Everything was home cooked and delicious. They have two BBQ sauces on the table and Crystal hot sauce. Our waitress offered to bring a hot BBQ sauce from the kitchen which was also good. The place is quite large. We came in just ahead of the Sunday church crowd and were seated right away. They have a few rooms that look like they could be reserved for private parties.

Ahhh… Now this is more like it. After the joke of a meal last night at Smoke&Fire, this was a welcomed experience. HUGE portions, friendly attentive staff. No wonder they were so busy. Best meal I’ve had in «All-Benny«!

If it is just you and a date, or a group, this is an excellent choice to make if you are looking for variety. I am not sure who thought of putting a seafood restaurant and a barbecue joint together, but it is a delightful combination.

Had a couple of co-workers recommend this place for me. I love local restaurants, and this one did not disappoint! The wait staff are so nice and inviting, and the seafood… OMGOSH!!! I got the crab bites, which are tasty, for an appetizer. I also got a plate of the sweet pickles, raw onion, and crackers. The pickles were so yummy. Now, to the main course: fried butterfly shrimp, fried oysters, cheese grits, and green beans. The seafood was really fresh. The oysters were plump and juicy. Looking forward to coming back to this place when I am in Albany. This is going on my favs list!

This place is good. It’s not healthy but will definitely fulfill the BBQ or fried food fix you need. I highly recommend the Brunswick Stew. That’s really all I need!

I’ve been coming here off and on for close to 10 years and really enjoy it — the last few visits have ranged from one end of the delicious scale to the other — tonight’s decision(buffalo tender tacos wrapped in cabbage instead of the tortilla) was pretty good — it wasn’t the best buffalo sauce… more like a Texas Pete or another bottled brand but still was good and the blue cheese crumbles and tomatoes were a great touch and the fried okra was fantastic if you’re in the area and wanting decent bbq and seafood then give em a try — from my experience it can be the best you ever had or ho-hum — but in my opinion it’s always worth the money

Grew up coming here, before it was at this location!!! One of my favorite stops when I come home… Since moving, they have added BBQ!!! All I know about is the seafood… Fried deliciousness!!! They used to serve the sweet pickles, onions, and crackers as a free starter, but now you have to ask for it… It’s a local thing, I think!!! But I love it… They have added a few alcoholic selections, beer, and wine!!!

I was in the mood for catfish and cheese grits and wasn’t disappointed. Best catfish I’ve ever had, HUGE portion for $ 9. It is on the bone, but wonderful. Fried okra(whole) was exceptionally good. Hush puppies and cheese grits were great. We were a big crowd(15) and our waiter tried but was overloaded. My son didn’t get his drink for like 10 minutes after we all got ours. They need more staff.

Have eaten here 3 times, twice in a week. The chopped pork is delicious as is the smoked chicken. So many interesting choices on the menu. Very good attentive service.
