I go to Starbucks almost everyday wherever I am, I happen to live close to this one in particular so I go here a decent amount… There are ups and downs, first off try are fairly quick with drive through orders and always pleasant, never once had someone rude(I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying they are rude) but there have been multiple times that they get the order wrong, I think they try to do it too fast. Which is another problem… They focus too much on rushing drive through and not enough on the people ordering inside, I have been in to order a few times and it always takes FOREVER, meanwhile I see several people go through the driver though with their drinks who ordered after I did, so I’ve learned never to order inside.

As like any old regular Starbucks, the drinks and food are fine. I can’t speak for all of the staff but most of the time I come here, they all seem to be in a bad mood. I get every now and then we all have bad days… but 80−90% of the time, really? Maybe I just happen to be coming in on all of the bad days :/

Absolutely miserable service. If you go through the drive through chances are they will give you the wrong order. If you dare go back and tell them you received the wrong drink, you will be mocked, yelled at, OR have the person who made said drink tantrum like a child and drink the beverage you ALSO sipped from to «prove» he made it correctly. Clearly this Starbucks has NO regard for health codes, customer service, etc.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would for this Starbucks location. I have been going to Starbucks for years and have never been treated so badly as this store. I walked in and was the only customer at the counter. After I ordered I watched while two employees stood to one side and chatted, and two employees worked very hard to serve the drive-thru. I did not see any attempt to make my drink. I waited several minutes and then asked the manager where my drink was. With a great deal of attitude, he pointed to an empty cup on the counter and said«there it is». He then went on to say I had to wait for the drive thru orders(who arrived after me) to be done. He said they were moving as fast as they could. I then asked why 2 of the 4 employees weren’t working, I got more attitude and he said he was training. This is all while his other 2 employees were killing themselves(and had asked for help). This was terrible management and terrible customer service. I’m shocked Starbucks allows that to happen

Every time I have been to their drive through the people they have working the window couldn’t be more unpleasant. I will go out of my way to avoid this location.

I am the biggest fan of Starbucks in the world. I adore everything about, typically I go everyday. However, this location has multiple times not been a rewarding or positive experience. One time, they didn’t even have coffee, not ANY type! And the Barista was so rude about it. Granted, I understand they must have been exhausted of telling Customers that they didn’t have coffee but the gentleman was rude and very mean. Will not be going back to this location. Very disappointed.

This has to be the worst Starbucks in the area. The staff is usually indifferent and not friendly. You are NEVER greeted with a smile. They frequently get the order totally wrong. Example: go through the drive-through and order an Egg Nog Latte and drive away with some disgustingly sweet Mocha drink. And they haven’t been able to get the hang of properly preparing a Flat White. The only reason I ever go there is because it’s close to my house and it has a drive through, but when I can, I will always choose a different location.

Like Daniel, I’m a bit conflicted, not about Starbucks in general but about this location. I’ve been here several times, most recently yesterday morning when I met a UAlbany Weekend MBA prospect. I noticed more acutely some aspects about the experience that I didn’t before. Such as the parking lot, which is fraught with tire-swallowing pot holes. Such as not parking on the right hand side as you drive in or you may be blocked by drive-through traffic. Such as the music, which was an eclectic mix of oldies and standards but seemed intrusive this time. Sitting under a speaker undoubtedly aggravated the situation. Such as the service, which did seem a bit slower that other locations. It also seemed a bit chilly and even drafty. With all that said, it may be my favorite Starbucks location(see the conflicted comment above). The product is very good and the staff very congenial. I think it may be the most spacious Starbucks in the region and it is comfortable, for the most part. It’s never been hard to fit a seat, which hasn’t always been the case at other Starbucks stores.

2nd day that I have ordered at the drive through and received the wrong order. First day apparently I bought a $ 6 venti pike and today something that tasted horrendous(caramel decaf mocha). You have one job Baristas! Get it right. #firstworldproblems. Am I right?

As far as a Starbucks goes, it’s first rate in regards to drink & food quality, but gets low marks when considering the slowness of the service inside and in the drive thru. As noted in some other reviews, give yourself an extra 15 – 20 minutes — more often than not you’ll need it.

C’mon. It’s a Starbucks! Do I really need to review it? If you need to check out a review of a Starbucks before you go to it, you have way too much time on your hands. Come in and get your sickly sweet, caramel-mocha-peppermint-lowfat-frappé thing, It’s the same here as every other Starbucks.

Inside is nice and big. However. The drive through line is horrible. This is the closest one to my house so i go a decent amount. And every time the drive through takes forever. They also usually only have 2 people working at a time so it’s not the people being slow it’s more just that it’s understaffed. Other then that it’s fine and it’s usually faster to just run inside and grab your cup

I spent most of my study time at this Starbucks during graduate school, and I really liked it when I started going there. As I spent more time there, though, I realized how unprofessional and rude the staff are. They’re incredibly slow when making drinks. The drive-thru line is always backed up into the street. When I asked for confirmation on my order at the drive-thru, the guy yelled at me that they were backed up and busy and that I should just be patient. I once heard a girl talking about having sex with some guy she had met the weekend before while working behind the counter at full volume. And I’ve been standing at the counter for a full five minutes before while the barista mops the floor behind the counter and tells me to wait while she finishes. I like Starbucks. I do not like this location. The only reason I go is for the drive-thru on days when I don’t feel like getting out of the car.

This is my favorite Starbucks ever, for a number of reasons. 1) Lots of seating, without feeling too cramped 2) decent outlet access 3) good light/window situation I have done a majority of my master’s degree homework here over the last two years and really get good work done. It does get really crowded during finals, especially since it has much better hours than the UAlbany libraries across the street(shame on UAlbany). Definitely a good place to work/study, but as I said, it can be hard sometimes to get a good seat

I am writing this review based on my drive through experience. Every single time I go to the drive through at this location I have a negative customer service experience. Rudeness, wrong orders, coffee spilled on my hand from a lid not secured, attitude about using the Starbucks phone app, money dropped, and just really strange occurrences. To the point that I thought maybe they were doing a social experiment. I love Starbucks and I will probably still go to this location, but every time I get in the line I am filled with anxiety about what I’m going to experience.

I am da Queen of Tarts because I just lub them!!! I especially love to share a tart with a friend. Guess what? Starbucks carries petite tarts and pies now! They are really catching on to a lot of great concepts from customer input. Like loose teas, cupcakes, cake pops, and other top end treats. I still do not trust their bistro boxes though. I do not care for pre-made sandwiches and pre-packaged lunch. I will eat their turkey sandwich if absolutely necessary. I am becoming bored with the locations around here because the employees really make the stores. I find myself avoiding certain ones and driving out of my way to find a better location. It’s Location, Location, Location…

Lots of windows, outlets for every seat by the sides, free wireless. I get a drink so I don’t feel bad about surfing for free. Black tea with sweetener is the best choice without killing my wallet and my one pack abs. I come here to get some work done, but always find myself distracted. This is why I’m writing this. I’ve also killed two flies(since I’ve been here a couple of hours) because they are really dumb when it comes to interacting with windows.

I am rating this Starbucks as a Starbucks, not against all coffee shops or cafes. Just a heads up. This place gets 5 stars on two fronts: 1) They have a drive-thru window. Super. Convenient. 2) The guy who took my order at the drive-thru last night made me laugh. And I was having a really crappy day. All I wanted was a soy hot chocolate. And he provided that for me whilst making me smile. Win.

I hate Starbucks. I love Starbucks. It’s complicated. But my understanding is that despite all of the Starbucks all over the world, everybody has one that is theirs. Well, this one is my Starbucks. Sure there may not be outside seating(that overlooks a parking lot) like the one in Stuyvesant Plaza. But I’ve never had the really bad experience here like I did there. Plus, this one has a drive through window. And while I would never ever, never ever advocate for drinking a cappuccino out of a paper cup through a plastic lid, sometimes a hot black cup of coffee is just what you need when you are on the go. I cannot vouch for any of their espresso based drinks. Well, I mean, I suspect they are all substandard, yet still better than what you will get at a gas station. But IMHO Starbucks needs to be put on trial for crimes against espresso. That’s another story.
