Nice people, dirty carpet in room, some kind of funky smell in the room and I woke up with bed bug bites in room 108.

The reason this hotel gets three stars and not one is because it’s clean and that’s important. The reason the hotel gets three stars and not four is set out below. Overall, I probably would not stay here again, even though the hotel looks nice and has plenty of positive aspects. My main problem was that our room had a strong chemical/glue smell that smelled horrible every time I walked in. We were so tired when we checked in, we didn’t change the room and just crashed on the beds. The bathroom is such a strange layout, you can’t get out after opening the door without backing up first… and I’m not a big girl. Every time the back door slams close, the loud bang is heard clearly in our room, which is not very fun in the middle of the night. The front door cigarette pole was constantly letting out a huge plume of cigarette smoke for you to walk through every time you exit and enter. So, it was those little annoying things that add up and made me tempted to give this hotel two stars. On the positive sides: The hotel is very clean as was our room, and that’s super important to me. The two front desk people I encountered were SUPER nice and friendly, which is also very important, as is the free wireless Internet. The hotel is surprisingly nice looking for the price and a very good selection awaits you at the free breakfast – definitely better than most other hotels. Overall, I would rather pay a little more for a better all around stay. Perhaps a better room would have given me a better stay!
