Been coming here for over 10 years. It used to be much, much better and the prices were not as high. It seems over the years the staff behind the counter had become less friendly, however the waiters are always great. They still have the best grandma slice and rice ball that you can get in the area. I would have to say it’s the quality of ingredients that sets them apart from the other local pizzarias. This is their redeeming factor(s).

I grew up going to this pizza place so nostalgia should be noted. They have quality pizza that’s reliable. Nothing beats a fresh pie, the laid out slices unless hot out of the oven won’t have the same effect. I enjoy their pastas and soups too. This isn’t really a salad place, haven’t loved their selection in that category. When we come home from college or living out of town its one of that places we miss.

Another great meal. If you like fresh seafood try the cold seafood salad as an appetizer or entrée. Next time I will make sure to grab a photo.

Da angelos is the best pizzeria in the Williston park/albertson area. They have the best grandma slices and the most delicious Sicilian slices. The workers there are always friendly and willing to help.

Hands down best Grandma Pizza I’v ever had, and I’ve had A LOT. Crust stays crispy, sauce is fresh, just perfect. Hot hero sandwiches are also always served just right, main courses are fresh and deliscious. Glad they are in my neighborhood!

Pizza had become as generic as the Big Mac in New York so it’s always a pleasure to Encounter a restaurant that goes the extra mile. The pizza crust retains flavorful crunch, the mozzarella part skim and the margherita and caprese utilize quality canned plum tomato. What really knocked me around was their tripe dish. Yes almost 20 minutes were required for the dish to come out but it was worth the wait. Thin slices of clean yet gritty pieces of tripe were sautéed In a tomato sauce that didn’t shy from onions and peas .try it out, try all they’re dinners out as di angelo is one few left standing of great Italian American kitchens

In Long Island there are a lot of really good pizza shops. Da Angelo is located near my old house where I grew up. The place is small and there are usually tables available. One reason to go to Da Angelo is for their grandma pizza, it’s delicious. The pasta dishes are good, but the portion are very small compare to other places. So, if you like to eat Grandma pizza give Da Angelo a try.

Frantonis or Ginos is better in my opinion. Ordered a tri-color salad here last time I was in. Not mixed at all just layered on top of each other. Just nothing special don’t really wanna go back.

I rarely say this about a pizza but this is hands down one of the best pizza’s around. Delicious slices with a delicious tomato sauce, their chicken noodle soup is amazing as well. If your in the area, you must stop in for lunch. I guarantee you will not regret it

I feel pretty obligated to write a review for this amazing place! Usually, my husband and I go there for the Alfredo spinach pizza, but we also celebrated a very special occasion here as well! We had a small civil ceremony in Hempstead in April and after, to celebrate our marriage, my husband called ahead and arranged lunch for us and a few of our friends. It was so sweet. They set up a corner for us and lined the tables with linen and brought in a beautiful flower centerpiece for the table. I couldn’t believe they were able to transform the place so nicely. They were sweet enough to throw in dessert for us and the owner came over to wish us a happy marriage. It was absolutely perfect! They made everything feel so special. Other than that, the food was delicious!!! Definitely check them out!!!

Ordered a delivery… Waited over 1 hr and 15 mins. Called after 45 mins. Was told its on the way. Called back 10mins later they said the delivery guy was lost. They said another order would come right to me with a different driver. 25 mins later and another phone call the order was delivered by original driver. Mgmt lied to me about new order and about time frame. The order was stone cold !!! I called yet again to complain about the cold order and the extreme lateness I was given the choice of another order. I could pick it up or wait another 45 mins. !!! Rude people on the phone. Constantly put on hold after saying hello. No offer of a discount on next order. Nothing. I WONTBE ordering any food there again for delivery or dine in. That’s how you treat customers !!!

I thoroughly enjoy everything about this pizzaria. From the nice tables to actually using real plates when ordering a slice to stay. Their pizza features a perfectly toasted crust, which prevents the floppy/sloppy factor so many other pizzarias suffer from. Whenever I go, usually while waiting to get my car fixed up the block, my go-to slices are the margaritas and the grandma’s. Always satisfying and always hits the spot.

A little business lunch. I go with a regular and he says«The Grandma pizza is excellent, wanna start with one?» Answer: YES! The pizza comes and it looks like a regular grandma slice and it’s good, except for the dollops of tomato(idk, sauce, crushed, homemade?) and they are spectacular! Then he says«The stuffed eggplant is really good» Answer: YES! Well it’s good, eggplant is tender, cheese is gooey and it’s not a stuffed eggplant, it’s some doughy baked thingy stuffed WITH eggplant. Actually a little bland so we get some Marinara to slop over it.(Hey, ever hear of salt, pepper and garlic?) A little espresso and we’re done. Service is quick, efficient and friendly. Maybe a little oomph in the stuffed eggplant would have pushed it to 4 stars. P. S. This place is full of regulars. There were guys there when we walked in who were still there when we walked out. Go figure. I said GO!

This place has much more to offer than just pizza and heroes. They also offer a full service dinner menu offering delicious homemade Italian dishes. My wife and I came in for dinner and were promptly seated, and before we knew there was a bowl of just out of the oven small knots of bread made foe pizza dough and garlic bread. Danielle was our waitress and served us two large glasses of Cabernet which were smooth tasting. For an appetizer I ordered the Mussels Rosa Maria, mussels served in a light rosemary cream sauce. It was a large portion of mussels which tasted fresh and were delicious. I could have have made a meal with just the mussels. As a main course my wife had the Chicken Fantasia which consisted of two large pieces of sauteed chicken breast topped with cutup asparagus, roasted peppers and onions served in a light marinara sauce. My wife ate half and took the other half home. I ordered the Black Linguine Posillipo, which consisted of squid ink colored fresh linguine, with mussels and clams cooked in the shell and calamari and small octopus. They were not skimpy and it was simply delicious. I look forward to ordering this dish when it is on the menu. For dessert we each had the freshly filled miniature cannoli and double espresso(real double sized), and they also brought out the Sambuca. This was a class act in bringing over the Sambuca without requesting it and to pour into you espresso if you so desired. Starting with the waitress and the entire staff they made you feel comfortable and the atmosphere is friendly. The best part is that everything we had was delicious and very reasonably priced.

Great pizza, friendly service. I have been eating their pizza for years. I had lunch there last week once again, and actually sat down and had their«lunch special» which was like $ 8 for a drink, fresh mini pizza and a salad. The salad was fresh w/homemade salad dressing, the mini pizza was fresh out of the oven, piping hot and just as tasty as their slices. Plus the waitress and counter staff were all friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Da Angelo to anyone. They are a great neighborhood standby.

4 stars for slices! There are a lot of complaints about service, but so although this is maybe not the best sit down dining experience, but as far as the pizza goes, they’ve got best slices in the area! I know people that come out from Queens just to get pizza here! lol. I wouldn’t come just for pizza, but if in the area, I definitely recommend stopping in!
