After a road trip to nearby Eldon, Iowa to see the American Gothic house I was hungry. I rarely eat fast food but I make exceptions on road trips. I passed up the adjacent Casey’s for this Hardee’s. Most Hardee’s are now Carl Jr.‘s in Des Moines. I ordered a hamburger, apple turnover and glass of water from the drive thru. It took a few minutes and the employee apologized. The food was hot and hit the spot, under $ 3. TIP: This location is just North off of Highway 34 so fast if you’re traveling.
