I want them to open back soon! One of the only places in town to make a proper Moscow Mule and Kentucky Mule in a copper mug. Had such décor and loved seeing various artists do their thing. Hope they open again soon.

Great spot. Private club with inexpensive membership. Cheap PBR tallboys. Full bar with quality specialty drinks. Large variety of music and events. Tonight is a babu shower(lame) but Urban Verbs, open mic, and sex trivia are great examples. Also, the young professionals mixers are fun. Best part: nonprofit that gives their proceeds to local arts!

I’ve now been a few times to Art Bar and continue to like what I find here, particularly with the enhanced tap selection that includes locals like La Cumbre, Marble and Tractor, plus other excellent craft. The interior is cavernous and could really become quite the party spot… if only it could draw better crowds. Most nights I’ve been here the place has been sparsely populated. It’s too bad because the best DJs I’ve heard have been here. What’s it going to take to get this place more bustling? Maybe some good word of mouth, so I’ll do my part and encourage folks to put this place on their radar and follow Alibi and other event listings that share what happenings are taking place here. Also, I will just say that my wife ordered a pineapple upside down cake cocktail here and I was amazed by how dead on it was with the flavors. The impression I get is the gals here can put together a decent cocktail. Check it out.

Swanky, and private, you feel like you are in San Francisco or Portland OR. Can you say counter culture? Lots of alternative ladies hanging out-it seemed like. So if you are a lady looking to date another artsy lady this would be a prime location to troll. A cool place to have or go to a show. Open mike on Wednesday’s. we went to the Lou Reed tribute, which could have used more Lou Reed covers. The EQ was a muddy mix, and they have a top notch PA, so I do not understand why it was this way. Most of the bands were soft rock, and all Ladies, which made it feel even more like I was in the pacific northwest(I lived in SF and Vancouver for over 6 years). I play music and it could have been a little more energetic of a night. Still kudos for giving some ladies top billing. We will definitely come back. I would like to go to Tourettes without regrets next time it is in town. They also make you a members card, which looks cool in the wallet. I believe they have happy hour from 4 – 7. The beers and drinks are more reasonable than other places downtown to begin with. Pints are 4 $, and tasty cocktails are 7 $, before the happy hour discounts.

I had my wedding there. Setting up the event was easy, the bar is beautiful, and the staff are amazing to work with. It simply couldn’t have gone better. We are so happy that we had our big day at this awesome club!

I went to the place for a meeting, on the suggestion of the person we were meeting with. There is a small appetizer to select from, although I didn’t get a chance to order. What I liked about the place is the art, the fact that when purchasing art the proceeds goes to charity so it benefits many layers(artist/non profit). I don’t know which non profit, and it doesn’t matter as long as its beneficial — The music is cool, the staff is great, and I would definitely go back to for a drink.

My wife and I love this place. The atmosphere us very cool and the bar is great. They don’t serve their own food but thanks to food truck service, you can order in just as if they had their own menu. A lot of special events are held here and this bar is a non profit organization! All proceeds go to support the local art scene. Hooray for Art bar!

Finally got to see what all the fuss was about! Came here last night for the first time and really enjoyed myself. I had been here before when it was Jazzbahs, so I’ve always loved the location and space. One of my favorite, more notable things, was the fact that they had Moscow Mules-which a lot of places don’t. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive to our needs and the drinks were good. We called ahead to get in this time, but usually there is a membership fee to join. I believe it’s $ 15/month and for $ 75/hour you can rent part of the bar out for as many people as you can fit, which I thought was a pretty awesome idea/deal! Needless to say, I’d like to come back, or even become a member. We need more places like this!

Great place. The waitresses are very attentive and awesome, plus it’s a small local business which I try to support. The membership fee of like $ 15 – 30 is totally worth it too! I’ve only been a couple times, but every time I’ve gone I’ve gotten sufficiently drunk and had a ball. This place is real swell and I definitely recommend it. :)

Great local bar. Came in for a drink and there was a live podcast on stage. I guess they do it every Sunday. Very fun and interactive.

I really enjoy ArtBar. The atmosphere is cool, upscale, constantly changing. They have a decent selection of local beer on tap, as well as some refreshing and creative mix drinks. The membership concept is new to me, but I like the idea that you get to experience something more exclusive(especially Downtown, where the likes of The Library reign) while supporting the arts. ArtBar is a non-profit, so you can feel a tiny bit less guilty when you drink there. Whoever’s idea it was to provide 2 hours(I believe that’s how long it is) of free parking in the adjacent structure should receive an award. Secure parking is always one of the troubles of going Downtown. Must say, however, that at times I’ve felt unwelcome. The waitstaff is hit and miss. Some are wonderful – friendly and passionate about what they do. Some have outright ignored me. That’s Albuquerque for you.

You fancy huh? You fancy huh? What a cool place ArtBar is! I was there for the monthly«I’ll Drink To That» and got in for the event specifically. I was amazed when I learned that this place is non-profit. Something about grants and helping out the art world, which is awesome. When you walk in, you will be greeted by sleek, modern décor and knowledgeable, welcoming staff. But wait… do you have your membership card or are you there with a member? If not, say«adiós». This place is very exclusive, which is kinda cool. There are different photos and art pieces on the walls that make for interesting conversation. There is a variety of seating available at the bar, tables and chairs in the main area, and even booths and couches to lounge on. Very comfy. They have a great selection of spirits and a few noteworthy beers on draft. They are one of the only places in town that I know of that makes Moscow Mules. They also have moonshine, or something called moonshine…(maybe another time??) At the event that I was at, they had 2 appetizers available, but I think this place needs legit food. Maybe they’re still trying to figure that out. But drinking sans food is no good. It’d be cool if they could get a food truck over there, kinda like Tractor does. Or even if they had their own ArtBar food truck.

The art bar is an interesting concept that mirrors some of the artist enclaves in larger cities. The concept is simple: you buy a $ 25 membership and beer. The proceeds from your purchases and membership(I have no idea how much) go to funding non-profit artist groups in the greater ABQ area. I’m certainly a fan of a tasty beer and believe the arts can use a boost… so do your part and support artists one beer at a time.

Review? How about a Sneak Preview? That’s what I, and a large array of locals, were treated to recently when the ArtBar held the Revolutions Theater Festival kick-off. The space formerly known as Jazzbah was plenty tarted up for this sexy theatrical debut, and now I’m absolutely dying to tell the world about it. It’s strange, but I felt like the walls were sort of flirting with me, and lucky for me, it’s an affair I can be proud of. Why? Well, supposedly, when the place opens to the public in the near future, it’ll be a Members Only club and proceeds will benefit our nonprofit community. What? Did I hear that right? So let me get this straight: I drink, and the money I spend will help save the world. Essentially. Um… Sign me up! Give me a double! Not only is the concept right, the space is a delight. A wide J-shaped bar greets you upon entering, and the main room is a sultry mix of modular tables, cozy booths and loungey couches. It’s situated to feature entertainment, and judging by their connection with Tricklock, the music and talent here should be stellar. I enjoyed moving from one end to the other, chatting up friends and meeting new peeps. And when the music slowed I’d just take a look at the beer in my hand and say to myself, «That, my friend, is one beneficial brew. Salud!» I really enjoyed the lighting and the ambiance in general. Dim, but not dark. The staff were especially friendly. Comfortable facilities, though the bathrooms were a little small. I believe the beers were four bucks, but I have no idea if that’ll be the case when they open. Go see this movie… er, bar. You won’t be disappointed. Let’s raise a glass to a good cause!
