Not the most affordable breakfast burrito(breakfast rollup), and the tortilla is the flat, machine kind, but boy is the convenience and deliciousness worth it! One of my favorite breakfast burritos nowadays. It comes with a small cup of fruits and a delicious pot/medium cup of salsa. They do not give military discount.

I take several trips a year and always grab a latte from Black Mesa to take on my flight and it has always been pretty good. The last few times I’ve had a latte from there they have been terrible! It has been so weak I have to ask them add coffee to give it more of a coffee flavor but certainly doesn’t taste like a latte should. They have horrible customer service also, they just look at you and never offer to remake it or add espresso. Almost $ 5 for a small latte that is something you have to settle for is very sad! My recommendation to all is stop at Starbucks before getting to the airport, I know I will!

If you are looking for MASSIVE baked good this is the place. They offer HUGE, yummy pastries and good coffee for a fair price(especially at an airport). Over the years I have tried them all and have never been disappointed.

If you have a little time to spare — don’t grab a sandwich from their ready made sandwich. You should instead a fresh sandwich to go; prices are similar, but ingredients are more fresh. I ordered the Black Mesa Signature which is the Turkey Stuffed Breadstick(turkey, avocado, cheddar, green chile, lettuce, and tomato on fancy bread) + one side(I chose the green chile) for around $ 10 bucks. I also got a quinoa, pesto, mozzarella side for an addition $ 6.95. The sandwich was good! The turkey was not of the thin deli sort, but rather, they were thicker slices of turkey. All the sandwich fixings were as good as they get. With the addition of the warm bread — cheddar crusted — it was a nice meal for my plane ride home. The quinoa salad was equally tasty. Good airport option.

Very friendly service. Ordered a panini and it did the job. Very big sandwich, I was able to save half for my next flight. A little pricey but I hadn’t really checked prices before I ordered, but still a good snack before my flight. I’ll go back for my next flight, but I’ll be sure to check those prices.

I’m remiss in not reviewing this place when I traveled through the Sunport this past summer. First of all, I live by the«ABS» motto(Anything But Starblechs). Black Mesa fits that. First thing they ask if you order a cappuccino is «Do you want it dry?» YESYESYES! That’s how I make my homemade cappus! Been to both shops(pre-security and by the SWA gates). Great cappus, good service. Didn’t order any food, so can’t comment on that. But if you need your caffeine fix before/after your flight, make sure to stop by.

Smoothie was decent, latte’ was ok except that the cup was LITERALLY ¼ coffee 2⁄4 foam and ¼ empty cup. Would have gotten another star except the staff is awful. Asked if a little more coffee could be added to cup, I was given a blank stare, an explanation of what a latte’ was and then told have a nice day and the awful girl ‘Jessica’ walked away. I get what a latte is. I didn’t pay for an empty cup. * Revision* 3 stars down to 1. Eating my slice of ‘Sweet Bread’ and there was a hair baked into it. I’m disgusted

A solid place when looking for something different at the airport. It can be hard to find relatively healthy choices at airports and Black Mesa has a couple of hidden options. Ask them about their oatmeal. They have two options — plain and one with brown sugar and nuts. As an added bonus it comes with a free piece of fruit. They also have a thin bagel with an egg white. Looks like starting to get a few more items with their Better 4 U choices.

What can I say when I lived in Albuquerque I lived and died by the coffee(espresso) plus they have great grab and go eats for the plane! In the Albuquerque Sunport airport, there are two locations. Unfortunately one is pre-TSA so that’s great when you’re doing a meet and greet and the other is by the Southwest gates — great for grab & go eats for the flights. It’s great that they do half sandwiches and since it’s New Mexico you can get green chili on everything! Also great for breakfast sandwiches in the morning.

What a complete rip-off! A yogurt and fruit cup and a small house brand bottle of water was eleven and a half bucks! I travel on a regular basis, so it’s not like I’m not used to getting the bone from airport vendors, but I place the pricing here on the outrageous side. My major heartburn is that the shelves and containers aren’t clearly marked and a normal person would not expect to pay $ 7.25 for less than 4 oz of yogurt, 4 strawberries, and a handful of granola. You don’t find this out until they ring you up, and then you don’t want to be «that guy» and hold up the rest of the line by backing out of your purchase. I know, I know… Consumer beware and all that. But as a service to my fellow travelers, just know that if you’re getting peckish, you can grab a whole meal in the main concourse area at ABQ for they price of a few ounces of yogurt at Gate A9.

Very decently priced for an airport coffee stop. The banana bread is really delicious too!

Out of all the airport restaurants I’ve been to, I gotta say that I liked Black Mesa Coffee Company. I was on my way home and had 4 hours to kill before my flight. I walked up and down the aisle and nothing peeked my interest except hidden at the end of the aisle, I saw Black Mesa Coffee Co. I looked on Unilocal and it had pretty good ratings and everyone loved their Turkey breadstick and Green Chile Chicken soup and so of course I had to give it a try. So I ordered the following: Turkey Breadstick with a mini Green Chile Chicken soup($ 11): It was good. It was actually a good size turkey sandwich and green chile was baked into the bread Green Chile, Apple and Cheese Danish($ 3.40): I had to try it, it was pretty good. It would have been better if it was warmed up. Small Iced Coffee($ 3.00): It was good, strong and not bitter. Don’t know when I’ll be in NM again but if I have time to kill at an airport, I’ll go here again.

Been stopping at Black Mesa Coffee for over 10 years now for that post flight, pre baggage claim and rental car caffeine hit. Very convenient! While I’m not too big on those cloyingly sweet frappé concoctions I was so fond of back in college, this place has been a reliable standby for a decent cup o’ Joe. The House Coffee was excellent; just the right balance of acidity. Almond and Soy Milk are available for those with sensitivities to dairy. The lady working that morning(Wednesday, August 5th) was a total sweetheart. You can also get food here — Never had it, but I keep hearing how amazing their Green Chile Chicken Stew is. Check it out for yourself, weary-eyed traveller. ;)

The best green chile chicken soup that I had ever had. So much flavor with just the right amount of spice! I had a morning flight and was surprised to find out that they serve soup all day! The breadstick that comes along with it is also rich in flavor! Must try!

Hoping for a Starbucks at this«Sunport,» but had to suffice with Black Mesa instead. Which is okay because their Chocolate Pinion coffee is delicious! And fairly strong too! They also had a very tasty Vanilla Iced Coffee. Since I only had a few minutes, I got the freshly made granola & it was very good, flavorful and crunchy. For $ 5.90, it also includes your choice of fresh fruit – either apple, orange or banana. Of course, this being New Mexico here, there was green chile up the ying-yang. I was just looking for a quickie healthy choice but you can certainly satisfy your southwestern cravings for spicy at Black Mesa. The service was okay and since the Southwestern gate agent recommended Black Mesa, that is good enough for 4 Unilocal Stars for me.

Had the turkey breadstick with chiles baked in the bread. It was a great sandwich with a little kick. Also had a small green chile stew. It was very good and flavorful. There aren’t a lot of food options in the sunport but the food here is great and delicious although it was a little pricey($ 11)

We got the stuffed turkey breadstick and it came with a small side of your choice — and by small… I mean small. The green chile stew had a smoky and spicy kick to it. The stuffed turkey breadstick was a fresh healthy alternative to some of the other rather limited dining options at the ABQ. Black Mesa does seem like the best place for food by far.

I travel through here often and Black Mesa Café had fantastic green chile soup, healthy sandwich options and a super friendly staff. I see the same few faces very time I come through and they are consistently pleasant and all about customer service. Definitely the best coffee/food stop in the airport past security!

My only comment is that they have the best damn roasted green chili chicken soup I have ever had! How you like them apples? You won’t get a more savory, smoky, and tasty meal elsewhere here at this airport.

OK, don’t let me tempt you… you decide if Black Mesa Coffee Company is where you want to «pop in» before your flight or immediately after you land… Three Words: Turkey Stuffed Breadsticks. As in a Green Chile breadstick stuffed with turkey, cheddar, onions and tomato. It’s a torpedo Club Sandwich… who does that? The awesomeness that is Black Mesa Coffee… oh, sorry did I tempt you? (And you thought Seth was just gonna pour you a Pinion Nut extra large with double vanilla looking over his tip jar, did cha)?
