What a jewel! Items created by Seniors of New Mexico. You can purchase my new book, This Tumbleweed Landed here and many other treasures from the Southwest. Artwork, handcrafts, and jewelry abound. Be sure and visit.

This is a great art shop in old town. Not only do they have lots of good southwestern gifts and arts, but they are the storefront for the Assistance League of Albuquerque. Which means that they carry some really amazing art created by senior citizens of our community. I’m not really even into art that much, but these are nice items, good prices, and excellent quality. What more could you want?

I really like this little store. Actually, it’s a pretty big store, but you don’t realize that until you start walking through. It’s a gift shop run by seniors and filled with items they have created. It’s pretty cool. There are a really weird range of things in there from the very cheesy to the extremely beautiful. I often find things I would love to buy, like the PO Box«safe» or the wine bottle windchimes. Saturday we saw a truly beautiful pottery item — wish i had taken a picture so I could show it here. It was a bowl with sortof unfinished edges at the top, and a beautiful picture of a pueblo or something on the front, and it said Land of Enchantment underneath the pueblo. It was so gorgeous. I am still figuring out who I can give it to just so I can buy it! There are multiple rooms as you walk through to the back, and lots of different things to see. There is one room with just stuff for kids, and I think one of the rooms is household stuff — kitchen and other textiles. Some of the work is just amazing, and it’s really a great place for gifts. I highly recommend it!!!
