San Pasqual’s

Great place with a selection of local artists’ work and generally more tasteful products than any other store in the neighbourhood. Very friendly and helpful staff — a pleasure to visit and shop! My experience was somewhat unusual in that I saw a piece that I liked but didn’t buy — I called two days later from out of town and they happily and swiftly shipped it out to me. Great place!

This is my favorite shop in Old Town. I never come to Old Town without visiting San Pasqual’s.
It’s a weird mix of kitchen stuff, home furnishings, furniture, high-​end crafts and all kinds of things I don’t really know how to describe. They carry NM-​ish Christmas ornaments and locally-​made textiles that are really beautiful. My husband bought me a silly, large stuffed red elephant there — love it! There are wood carvings, clay sculptures — they have a chandelier made of antlers!
All kinds of foodstuffs make their home in the middle section of the store, all local stuff and all very tasty. I have gone there on many occasions to find a gift when I just didn’t know where else to go and found just the right thing. It’s a great place to find Albuquerque-​esque items and show off the local flavor, both literally and figuratively.
The owner is a lovely woman, and the other folks who work there are also very sweet and helpful. I am in there maybe every other month, but she tends to remember me, even though I don’t go out of my way to make myself memorable. It’s nice to know she pays attention and cares about her customers.
The kitchen items they have are so fun and interesting — if I had endless expendable cash I could really go crazy in that corner of the store! (Who couldn’t, right?) So, I pick something now and then and allow myself a new fun toy. She always has something cool to choose!
If you need a gift or just something for yourself or even a good turn around a fun little store, San Pasqual’s is the place to go — I guarantee you will see something you want, or something you want to get for someone else!
