Buca is one restaurant with consistency, I’ve eaten at multiple Buca’s and it’s always great. Read some reviews and noticed mostly bad reviews from beaners. Sorry no tortillas here

Mixed feelings… have eaten here several times with family and is generally ok to good, however EVERY time we order takeout, it’s horrible service. It seems like they tell you it will be ready at a certain time and when you get there it’s like they put the order in when you get there. Then you wait another 20 minutes for your meal. This last time was the worst. We ordered 1.5 hours ahead of time and when I arrived I was told that to get what I ordered would be at least another hour. Apparently issues in kitchen for said item.(that’s right, one item) so I asked for something else and that was going to be at least another 30 minutes… I don’t have time for this. The to go server half heartedly appologized. I asked for the salad that was also ordered. He went to go get that and I was expecting it to be free or at least discounted for my trouble… Nope, full price for a mediocre Cesar salad. I honestly haven’t been there for about 6 months and I think maybe this will be the last time. Go where your time is recognized as valuable.

Made reservations online for a birthday dinner. I was called and told that they overbooked and I couldn’t have my reservation. Thanks for ruining a special dinner. If you have a special occasion beware that your reservation may not be honored.

Staff was incredibly friendly & food was great. My favorite part has to be all the different room styles. Supper cool! If you’re in the mood for some good Italian food I highly suggest you go here. It’s even better if you have a large party because the portion sizes are huge! Will defiantly be going back & I will be bringing my whole family.

If I could do minus 1 I would. Takes like microwave food. Been several times with work people. Just ugh. Nor much to rave.

My first time at this Buca and we weren’t disappointed. Brought my parents here for the first time because my mom had a gift card and they loved it. The four of us shared 2 small dishes, a pasta and a chicken, and it was plenty! We even took some home. I love the bread basket before dinner with the extra virgin olive oil and vinegar, mmmm! And I love how you walk through the kitchen to get to your table. The service was really good. We came around 2pm on a Saturday and there was no wait I was surprised(this was during Balloon Fiesta time).

I ordered calamari as take-out that made me hate calamari, which, for the last 30 or so years, I have loved. Greasy and cold. Caca! My guilty confession(and the reason I did not call to complain). .. I still ate it. UPDATE: Following my review, I was contacted by Buca reps who offered me a gift certificate to try their food again, which I plan on doing next time I am in the neighborhood. If I had to rate their customer service I would give it at least 4 stars, cause you can’t beat free food! :)

What happened to this place?! Me and my family used to love coming here, but we were quite disappointed the last time we visited. I guess everyone is feeling the pinch these days, but I do not appreciate it when the prices stay the same and the food quantity shrinks. We brought my daughter here for her birthday at her request. We were usually greeted with a basket of bread to snack on before and after our meal. Now they have limited this to one half of a loaf served at the same time the meal arrives. Well the main dish was good as usual. And I still see that they offer the same recipes from the Stone Age. But what really ticked me off was when they came to sing happy birthday. Instead of bringing out a scoop of ice cream or cake they instead just placed this nasty old melting candle on our table. We’re we supposed to make a wish and blow it out?! Overall, just your typical chain restaurant that has gotten cheap on portions. Not really much to say other than if you’re a fan of chain food then go there. I on the other hand would rather support local.

Went in for lunch at about 11:15 a.m. and were seated promptly. Ordered a Caesar salad, and fortunately, the lasagna was ready early(the menu states that it isn’t ready until after noon). The lunch portion, designed for one person, is quite generous. The lasagna and salad were quite tasty and came out to about $ 12 for both, which is quite reasonable. The waitstaff was prompt and courteous as well. I’ve seen some people complain that it’s Americanized Italian food, and though that may be the case, it is delicious. Also, the small shrines to both Sinatra and Pope John Paul II were quite enjoyable. Just relax and have a good time.

Over-rated and over-priced. I’m going sit down and tell you are where to eat Italian in Albuquerque – just wait. Some of the best spots need to be input by hand – no websites

Was taken out by my family to celebrate Father’s day. We have never been there before …Won’t be returning on my dime anytime soon. My pasta was OVER cooked; her pasta was under-cooked. BIG portions, BIG cost; mediocre service and food. Any other«chain» italian food place does better.

We like to go here for celebrations. To begin with, we like the laid back atmosphere and almost home like feel. We enjoy the decorations and while it’s over the top, it serves as a homage to Italian family dinner. The food is solid. I can’t say I have ever had something that was just«meh» but on the other hand nothing ever stands out calling me back. The other issue is that it can be costly — a bit surprising but for a family of 5 with three preteens– $ 170. We will be back for celebrations and the times that the kids request as a reward, but as far as an Italian restaurant that I would frequent on a date night with my wife, there are better choices.

I am not quite sure what has happened here but it was like eating at a different restaurant … Our chicken pasta dish tasted like FISH not just a hint of fish like over powering fish taste that left an awful after taste in my mouth. I of course sent it back to the kitchen and the re make wasn’t any better. I am very disappointed by how down hill the food seems to have gone. I over heard the couple behind me complaining about there food as well so it clearly wasn’t just us. I don’t think we will be returning and if we do it won’t be for a very long time.

We were walked through and almost seated at 4 different tables, but the hostess couldn’t make up her damn mind. The staff is annoying and tries too hard. It made our visit feel awkward, and they were trying to upsell us on everything. Even the waiter had a long five minute speech trying to pressure us to sign up for the email list. That sort of used car salesman crap is so irritating when you’re trying to enjoy a meal and carry on a conversation with the people you are eating with. The«family» size portions are still overpriced and the chicken we had was dry and too salty. Another novelty restaurant that I will avoid from here on out.

Two stars for my waitress and the mussels. The rest of it was not so great. When we arrived there must of been 50 people crammed into the check in area. Nowhere to move definitely a fire hazard. Hallways were jammed packed nobody even offers drinks. My thought was, with that many people the manager would be more involved offering people drinks. No way! When our food arrived our server was really pleasant and so was our waitress. It quickly climbed to over 80degrees in there making it unbarellable. We decided to leave. Our original plan was to stay for a while. Buca made it impossible. Maybe it was a strategy to increase patron turnover. Not cool! Buca invest on some outdoor heaters and have a good area to hang out and wait. We pay VERYGOODMONEY for you guys to invest back in the community. Poor management !

Love the wine ceiling. The meatballs were delicious. Love the tacky, yet not tacky décor. Great service and good food.

This was my first time eating here and it won’t be the last. The service was outstanding and the food was great. The portions were huge, we took half home for lunch the next day. I highly recommend Buca di Beppo.

Eh. Not exactly fast-food Italian, but not too far off. If you’re not familiar, think Applebbes but all Italian. The food is okay, with the major plus being that there is plenty of it. The beer selection is very weak, and the wine not much better. Service is generally pretty good. The food is served family style, meaning big bowls of pasta or whatever that everyone shares. Plan accordingly. There are so many better choices for Italian in ABQ. Pick one of them. Any one.

Never once has Buca di Beppo let me down. The new year eve’s dinner with my family was spectacular. We got served by a very friendly, helpful and attentive waitress. She checked on us periodically. She gave us new plates, utensils in a timely manner and never once did we have to ask for anything since she seemed to know exactly what it is that we were going to need next. The food was outstanding, huge portions, we ordered 5 large portions for 8 people and barely able to finish it all. The ravioli was very well made, firm and was just outstanding. The salmon was perfectly cooked, not too dry, not to soft, and it was fresh. We also ordered a huge sundae, now that was good, loaded with a bunch of brownies, with ice-cream on top and whip cream. We had to sit and breath for about 2 hours after that meal.
