Yum!!! I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and it was all perfectly cooked. The bacon was crispy which added a nice crunch. The size of the burrito for the price was good as well. I would come back here for sure.

a lot of people have serious love for this place, so i don’t mean to attack. but my burrito was less than desirable on all accounts? how does one rank a burrito? temperature, quality of ingredients, texture, presentation, aroma, etc etc. i’m not going to waltz through my thoughts on each, but every bite was a mediocre step to fullness. sorry burrito express. i’ll probably try again. could have just been«a bad day.» my co-workers were perhaps a little more upset than I was and unwilling to give it another go(and they’re laid back!). let’s prove them wrong.

I ordered the asado combo. I wasn’t sure on what to expect after reading some of the reviews. The burrito is pretty big! I was sure I was not gonna finish it BUT it was so good that I finished it. It’s kinda spicy but good spicy! The seasoning was perfect. The meat was tender and juicy. The were playing Mexican music pretty loud, LOL

Eaten here twice and both times my food was very salty.

I’m not sure where these reviews are coming from? This past Monday I attended a day-long workshop just down the street a piece and on lunch break I needed to step out real quick for a bite. Obviously I did not want to go far and this place was conveniently located, so in I stopped. Low and behold I’m the ONLY one there. This is usually a bit disconcerting to me, so I actually asked the counter guy. His response, «Most people just grab it to go.» Ok, that makes sense, plus I’m a bit early for the main lunch crowd at about 11:30 ish, or so. So being it’s my first time I ask him, «What’s good? What do you recommend?» He just starts running down the basics and I put him out of his misery by saying, «Ok, Ok, just give me the steak combo and a bottled water.» Easy enough right? And it was, damn near as soon as I sat down he brought it to me wrapped in tinfoil with one napkin and my water. No tray, no nothing, just the burrito and my water. Ok, no big deal, fine dining I was not expecting. Here’s the glitch though: It wasn’t wrapped like a normal burrito. You know, one end, or sometimes both, wrapped in so things do not fall out. It was just rolled, so it was oozing everywhere! Trust me, it took some creative eating to not make a huge mess, and I still spilled a lot onto my tinfoil plate. So naturally I go up to the counter to get a plastic spoon and ask for another napkin. He had to go into the back kitchen area to get me a napkin, as if they are kept under lock & key, what’s up with that? The whole experience was just off! A few other customers did come in while I was there, but not many. The burrito itself? Meh, OK, certainly nothing to write home to Mom about(As if anyone still writes to mom these days? WRITETOYOURMOTHERS!!), but not horrendous either. Will I ever go back? I doubt it!

Stopped in for the first time this morning. We were happy to see a new burrito place open close to our house and looked forward to trying it out. We ordered several burritos; chicken, asado, steak and the ultimate breakfast burrito. They were okay but nothing great. Chile was bland and the tortillas were tough. The girl that took our order was friendly and we got exactly what we ordered fast. We had thought about eating in but after hearing Fox News blaring on the television in the dining area we decided on takeout instead. We probably will not be back — Albuquerque has too many better burrito places to choose from in the neighborhood.

Generic burrito’s at best… I had the steak combo. …store bought tortilla chewy meat zero flavor… I wanted to like it because it’s close to work.

They don’t recycle and they play Fox News. Two big strikes in my book. Plus the guy workin the counter seemed like getting his breakfast was more important than me getting mine… Smh

How can a burrito be so good?! Stopped in for breakfast and got a fantastic chicken potato burrito(not from the breakfast menu) but something I’d be happy to eat every morning. I wish I had been in town longer since I’d definitely return. Great prices and quick service.

I’ve been looking for a place like this since Dos Hermanos closed up shop, clean, good value and local. It’s cool to be able to stop in and get a local bite in 5 minutes or less. This morning I had a hand held breakfast burrito with cheese, potatoes, sausage, red & green chile. The tortillas gotta be made in house, I shutter to think of the calories in them because they’re one of the best I’ve had in the 505. If you’re in Midtown stop in and give them a try they’re just across the street from American Furniture.

Grew up in Roswell where they started– made my parents bring a dozen Steak Combo Red burritos every time they came to visit me in college. Would freeze them and«ration» them. So happy they are in Albuquerque now– but still have to eat there at least twice when I go home to visit!

Tasty, tasty, tasty. What a nice little find here on the east side. Burrito was flavorful, the green chili could have been hotter but all in all a good burrito!

So stoked they opened one up in Albuquerque. The steak combo burrito is the best! I had been waiting for them to open for weeks. I have been a fan since the first one at the base in Roswell! Great burritos!
