Wow, this place is AMAZING!!! My husband surprised me by organizing a private chocolate tasting for me and some friends for my birthday. The Chocolate Dude made it very special. They set up a tray of all the best chocolate and reserved a section just for us. Their hot chocolate and cappuccino are phenomenal. The chocolate covered apple and chocolate covered strawberries were unbeatable. We tried so many chocolates and all of them were simply amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this place and how great their chocolates are. They are literally some of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend stopping by trying some chocolate. I also highly recommend setting up a private tasting. This is absolutely a must visit place in Albuquerque.

Strawberries for a baby shower at work and needed to pick up at 6 am! Perfect! Big, juicy, perfectly ripe berries covered in luscious chocolate! What a treat.

As a touring musician, I’m a world-traveling hot chocolate snob. I’ve been to the furthest reaches of the planet for a great cup of cocoa. You HAVE to try their White Chocolate hot cocoa– a large one… the small one will make you sad that it’s over too soon. This is hands down my favorite hot cocoa!!! Amaze-balls!

This place has great fudge but can not keep up. I have been going in off and on for over 2 weeks and just trying to get Maple Walnut Fudge and they always are out I have had to go back to ordering it from Chicago just to get it and I try to keep my money local but if they don’t have it then i have to get it were I can.

I used to be a regular at Chocolate Dude, the sweets are awesome! But… recently I have noticed a difference. The employees were all super helpful and nice, especially the owner Kirk? He was always in the shop and happy to explain what everything was on the menu and gave recomendations. The last I went in, I was informed he no longer worked there. I defintly felt a diffrence, the employees seemed misrable and the service I loved was no longer there. Chocolate dude was out of my way but I went anyhow for the service and the goodies. Unfortunatly now I will prob not be back. too bad, this place used to be so awesome

A favorite place for sweets. I hadn’t had a caramel apple in such a long time and decided to treat myself. It was wonderful. Perfectly tart apples with creamy sweet caramel. Covered in M&Ms. It was delicious. Next I will definitely want to try a New Mexican inspired treat.

I can’t imagine a candy store that doesn’t get an A but Chocolate Dude gets an A+. You walk in and you smile you can’t help it! Chocolate everywhere! Then you see THE Candy Apple case and remember why you walked that extra mile during your workout. I recommend the pecan caramel and take them up on their offer to cut it, not necessarily to share but rather to eat smarter and quicker. You can grab candy to go but we like to grab a coffee, snuggle up on one of the couches and people watch. You even get to see as they make the chocolate goodness. Don’t forget to pick up a few treats for the dogs, they too deserve homemade cheats I mean treats.

This is Albuquerque’s version of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. There is a huge selection of chocolates to choose from. Prices are very reasonable. My favorite is the dark chocolate rocky road pieces or the chupacabra crunch which is like a rice krispy treat mixed with peanut butter and chocolate. The staff is very friendly and they offer samples of their items. If you’re lucky you can catch them making some of their concoctions.

That’s right — 5 stars. The chocolate is authentic and spot on. Varied and delicious. 5 stars for the beautiful young guy making the chocolate, stopping me on my way out and forcing samples on me. And for his intuition. He’ll know what I mean. The John Lennon tee shirt and dancing bears didn’t hurt either. See you again next time in town. From the guy looking for a decaf cappuccino.

Locally owned. Fun staff. The most creative and delicious chocolate. Mind blowing truffles. Lots of varieties of coffee drinks on hand. Comfortable relaxing stop. Nice addition to Nob Hill. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Hail to the Dude! Chocolate Dude that is… I was in desperate need of a Valentine’s Day gift and after a few taps and swipes I came across this gem. Clearly the younger, college crowd already knew about Chocolate Dude but this was my first time. A really hip joint with places to hang out whether it be sitting at a small table or lounging on a couch. The chocolate choices were pretty cool and thankfully they had a menu on the wall to kind of explain everything and the nice lady who took my order explained the rest. Seeing as how it was almost Valentine’s Day I was not surprised to see some of them sold out but there was still plenty to choose from! Oh, did I mention that they had a $ 5 for $ 10 deal on Unilocal also?! I grabbed that up, as well as my free pretzel for checking in! They clearly know how powerful Unilocal is and want to reward those people who spread the word! I got a good selection of chocolates: A bar of fudge, some chocolate covered strawberries and some bars of the chupacabra chocolate. The lady who took my order even boxed them up very nicely and it looked professional. The wife loved it, and the chocolates tasted delicious. I’ll definitely be taking my business back to Chocolate Dude!

Great display of chocolate & the chocolate covered pretzels are pretty great. The lady behind the counter was nice enough to answer all my questions.

Come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination… I will always hum this as I walk into the chocolate factory. This is a very unique place to Albuquerque. You can’t get fancy chocolates anywhere, but here you will get chocolates that are not only fantastic, they are pure magic. Very 70’s vibes, chill, fun, hippie-dippie. I love it. The owner is down to earth really cool DUDE! Yep, he is the chocolate dude:) My hands down favorite thing to get there is the Dark Chocolate Lobo. It’s one of those things that brings me comfort when I need it. Everything they have is too die for you can’t go wrong. I’d suggest ordering a mocha latte, he uses the chocolate that they make the candy with to make the drink.

Love love loooove this place. They have coffee and espresso! Guess what?! They have almond milk too! They have a huge variety of chocolates and caramel covered apples. The service is always so nice and fast. They ambiance is relaxing and you are able to watch them make chocolates on the spot. They also have a good amount of seating so you have hang out and have a conversation. They have metered parking in the front and on the side. They do have a restroom and to my experience is has always been kept clean. I love this place. Not to mention you are eating fresh chocolate and supporting local!

This place is okay. It’s very average as far as cafes go. There is a lot of chocolate options, though, so if you are going, go for the chocolate and not just the coffee.

All the candy here lived up to its reputation, and thus, my expectations. Good stuff! The wait staff was friendly and competent. My review lost 2 stars as a result of the atmosphere in the restaurant itself. It never makes an experience better to have some cheese dick with an acoustic guitar being louder than everyone else.

There are 4 basic food groups«Milk Chocolate» «Semi-Sweet Chocolate» «White Chocolate» & «Dark Chocolate» and there is the laid back cool dude at «Chocolate Dude» :) A very friendly & helpful dude when it comes to his chocolate business! Even offers you a sample of his sweet bites of heaven! A lovely selection of Chocolate with nuts, truffles, chocolate strawberries, fudge, brittle & anything else you can think of he probably has. He also carries some great Italian coffee. A great Dude with some great Chocolate = Happiness

Eat the piñon lobo. Milk or dark chocolate. Sooo good. My friend and I stopped in this quirky joint when I was visiting ABQ. It’s right near her salon and we figured it would be nice to grab some chocolate, but it was way above my expectations. Huge variety, nice staff, clean, and of course delicious. They even had some local products for sale that caught my eye, including citrus beard oil which I brought home to my boyfriend. He loves it! After seeing the other chocolate stores ABQ had to offer, this one was by far my favorite. Good but not pretentious. I will absolutely come here again next time I’m in town.
