Clearwaves

This review is from my wife. Dr. Chavez and all of her wonderful employees are a true delight to receive treatment from. You are welcomed with a Hello and a smile every time, and make sure that you feel comfortable and relaxed during your visits. I had some tattoos and age spots removed and am very happy with the results! Clearwaves is the BEST place to go for laser treatment and is very affordable. The atmosphere is warm and professional, they treat you like family. Kudos to all!

I cannot say enough good things about Clearwaves! Having acne at 43 is very embarrassing and completely traumatic! It took me several months to even get up the nerve to call and make an appointment for my initial consultation. After my consultation it took me awhile to determine if it would be worth the money and HOPING the treatments would work. I have to say that the treatments exceeded my expectations! My face breaks out much less, is much smoother and even removed some of my wrinkles! Bonus! Even bigger bonus was how amazing Dr. Chavez and ALL of the ladies in her office were. I did not go into one appointment without Dr. Chavez personally coming out to say hi and see how I was doing. Everyone there is so nice and always goes out of their way to make sure I am comfortable. I highly respect and recommend Clearwaves!

This review is based on customer service, for now. I called this morning on a Saturday. I got a live person!!! Not only was the live person friendly and awake on a Saturday morning she was upbeat and helpful. I am wits end with my daughter’s acne. It was not really a problem in high school but now in college it is out of control. I have been sending creams, sending her to light therapy, pills, etc. She watches her diet, drinks water, and exercises regularly so what else can be done. She is scheduled to see a dermatologist, but trying to find the right one is a pain. Most dermatologists in Los Lunas and Albuquerque are into the aging factor of skin. Which at 19 is not a problem for her. I know my insurance will not cover this, and the helpful person on the phone mentioned they do not have a dermatologist but they do specialize in helping with acne. Since my daughter is in school (even this summer) I mentioned that getting up to Albuquerque may be a problem especially when fall semester starts. She stated that it would be no problem. Depending on the consultation, it will be determined if she can visit once a month or every couple of weeks. Much more doable than the light therapy which recommended twice a week! Not easy with a full time student living in Socorro. So her first appointment is Friday! Imagine that, no long wait! I probably could have gotten an earlier appointment, but she has class all week, so Friday it is. I will update my review later.

I was in Albuquerque for business and went into Clearwaves to try Zerona as a friend was raving about it. After speaking with Dr Chavez about all the options, I tried Vasershape. It worked so well and the experience with the staff was so great that when I returned to DC I sought out a local place and scheduled appointments. Totally different experience, more expensive, extremely uncomfortable and yield little to zero results. They said try Vanquish, so more money, not uncomfortable, no results. When I was in Albuquerque again, I revisited Clearwaves. Awesome results again and everyone was concerned for my comfort given the unpleasant DC experience.
What can I say other than I now travel to Albuquerque for Vasershape, cool sculpting, and Vanquish. The knowledge Dr Chavez and her staff display is awesome. They are constantly researching, training, and staying up to speed with the latest and greatest technologies. The professionalism and client care is phenomenal; they are kind, caring, and truly interested in getting the best results for each individual.
And the best yet, Dr Chavez personally answers emails and phone calls to answer questions and ensure you are fully informed and know the pros and the cons. Her prices are great too!!!
Seriously, I now travel from DC, a major metropolitan area with lots of options when it comes to these types of services, to go to Clearwaves. They are that great!

My son was treated at ClearWaves in 2006 for severe acne. It was amazing. I believe it took 4 or 6 treatments. He has rarely had even a single pimple in the years since. His skin is very nice looking, he does have some scaring but even the scaring was minimizby the treatments. My daughter may have a tattoo removed and if she does she will probably go here.
On the other hand, I got a quote to remove some cherry angiomas. I then got a quote from my dermatologist. Using the same laser. Clearwaves said it would take at least 4 treatments and was 6x the cost of my dermatologist.
I’d also recommend the topical anesthetic for any work you have done. It’s an extra charge but well worth it. Really numbs the pain. It’s not horribly painful but when they are zapping you 50 – 100 times in a small area it does sting a lot.
