Anyone who loves pizza loves wood-fired pizza. This place has an awesome selection of interesting combinations. We ordered the Wild Mushroom and the Godfather. Both were excellent and sized perfectly, the wild mushroom one was exceptional with a garlic oil base and big dollops of sweet ricotta cheese. I’ll be coming back before I leave Albuquerque for sure.

This is place is amazing! We live in the Bay area, home of the farm to table movement and all around great organic produce. We showed up to Firenze after a 5+ hour bus ride from Denver. We Google searched and found this gem of a place and stopped there on our way to Taos after renting a car. Let me just say, my partner and two kids were in bliss. Organic wood oven pizza and a fresh salad with housemade lemonade was the perfect find in a new town. Service was impeccable, he was kind friendly and even gave us some tips on places to check out we loved it! So much in fact on our way out of NM we stopped by for some more for our train ride into AZ! Oh an my partner who grew up visiting cousins in Italy said it was the best pizza since Naples, Italy!

Awesome awesome awesome pizza! When we want pizza I can 5 minutes to Scarpas or Farina but instead drive 9 miles(15 minutes) to get the best wood oven pizza in ABQ. Love this place!

Pizza was decent. On «The Godfather» pizza the cheese tasted like it was expired. Only had half a pepperoni per slice. The mushroom pizza was not any better. The best part was the crust. It was really dead, just two employees my buddy and I. Do not recommend it.

Really delicious pizza! We were passing through ABQ and decided to stop here and get a bite to eat. So glad we did! I love pizza, but I’m pretty picky(New York and Naples, Italy). This pizza does not disappoint at all, I loved it!

Was visiting Albuquerque and looking for a good pizza place but found an EXCELLENT pizza place in Firenze Pizzeria. Had the Capriciossa pizza and ate the entire thing, crust and all which is unusual for me. The owner was super friendly and had great service. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!!!

On the edge of the Downtown neighborhoods, this family– owned pizzeria makes handmade wood oven pizza in a size made to be appreciated by one foodie with a huge appetite of two who are modest at a reasonable price in the 10 dollar range. Starting in a food truck at the Downtown Growers Market, Felicia and family are at the current Park Avenue locale. Home Delivery is advertised. But, beware, a small family restaurant can have devastating problems. Take this evening. Dinner time And out of town hungry guests have arrived. Call and order delivery of 3 wildfire pizzas, wild mushroom, pepperoni and green chile, tomato and red pepper(roasted), goat cheese. Yum. Had them before. Recommend highly. «No delivery tonight. Driver is no show.» Son– in– law volunteers to pick up. At no-atmosphere restaurant Server asks for name of person who called in the order even though she never asked when order was made. «We don’t have your pizza. You must be At the wrong pizzeria. « Son-in– law notes three pizza boxes waiting on counter in empty restaurant. But he goes to Fatima Pizza. They have mercy and make two pizzas to carry back to starving family. Another call to Fierenze «We made a mistake. Free cold pizzas from your, original order or there is a change to make new hot pizzas. « Another family member goes for cold, free pizza. «No, you have the pay full price. « Next family member calls to say Fierenze saved five dollars in supplies, but lost our family’s business forever. Manager gets on phone, says come get cold free pizza. A third family member staggers into Pizzeria. Server is upset, won’t come out of the bathroom Felicia the owner calls to talk with third can member. Blames family for not giving name when ordering at their crowded(empty)restaurant, then apologies after hearing what happened. Hard night for 3 free cold pizzas. Thanks to Farina for rescuing a hungry family.

Excellent place and staff. From NYC, and the pizza here is on par with pizza from home! Great variety and creative pizzas. They cater as well. Would definitely come back.

Three years! Firenzas has been open for Three Years! Unilocalers… why has it only seemed to appear recently in the best pie search? Well, this pizza nazi decided to give it a try today and I’m so glad I did. Everything everyone has mentioned previously is 100%! The owner was there, very warm and friendly and passionate about his product and craft. I love to witness this type of excitement from an owner about their establishment — it exudes gratitude and commitment — which is a powerful component that transfers over to his patrons… so bravo there! The pie was excellent. Not the traditional pie I’m accustom to back east but… a very delicious pie all in itself! They nailed it to be honest. The dough had a great chew and the sauce was perfect. I’m very much looking forward to going back there and eating more pie! He has a mobile pie maker — I wish the Tamaya would hire him out for a pizza night on their deck. It would totally work I know it. Great pie — a definite try and most definite retry! :). Well done.

In an attempt to explore the downtown local scene here in Abq, we kind of just stumbled upon this place, and let me just tell you… it is AMAZING! The area it’s located has always been quiet when we came, the staff is welcoming, and the food is everything you want it to be, and then some. I’ve only gotten one type of pizza here just because I can’t bare to not get the NM White. You also have to try their homemade creamy pesto ranch!!! Seriously, if you love pizza and love local spots you gotta try Firenze Pizzaria!

I was in Albuquerque a month ago for a conference and decided to stop in here for my last meal before my flight home. Wow! What a great decision I made. I had the NM White pizza(Roasted Garlic Crème Sauce, Mozzarella, Feta, Chicken, Green Chile & Roasted Garlic) and a Lavender Lemonade. The pizza was perfect, just the right amount of spice and not to heavy with the crème sauce. I’ve never had a Lavender Lemonade but it was also amazing. It was the perfect refreshing drink after an afternoon in the hot ABQ sun. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean and well kept. I’ll be back if I’m ever in Albuquerque again!

This place was awesome! I got the Piccante pizza and the Lavender Lemonade. I was hoping the Lavender Lemonade would taste more like lemonade and less like tea. Nonetheless, it was super tasty and well worth the money. Reasonably priced, quick service, and great service!

The pizza is good. The service and consistency of hours are not. They seem to be struggling to figure out how to run a pizzeria. The salads are bland and the variety is limited. The space is austere and not super inviting. Half the time when I go half the lights are off even though they are open. They run out of items regularly, even their dough. If it’s open and I don’t feel like driving I go here but most of the time I don’t get that option because they are closed.

This place was great. Friendly, with lots of space. Love the fact that the place was eco conscious with organic locally sourced food. The regular pizza I ordered was thin crust baked in a wood oven. I loved that the jalapeños were fresh cut and not pickled. I would have given the place five stars if they offered a non-dairy cheese like daiya. Still, great clean fresh taste, left satisfied!

How can you go wrong with a brick oven? The answer. You can’t! The crust was airy, light, and crispy, the way you would expect from a brick oven. The sauce was light and tangy, and the toppings were of the freshest quality. If your ever craving pizza and in downtown Albuquerque, don’t miss this place!

This was one of my absolute favorite pizzas in a long time. It’s not greasy and the Spinnaci was WONDERFUL! The restaurant itself smells spectacular, thanks to the wood fire stove and it makes a real difference in the taste! The lavender lemonade has floral notes and its delicious. Overall, we loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!

We stayed in ABQ last weekend for Valentine’s Day and a show(Cirque!) — we arrived around 1 and had a few hours to kill before the show so walked here from our hotel(Andaluz) and had a pizza. Wood fired, cooked quickly to order– total bill $ 17.70 which is a pretty amazing price to feed three people. We had one drink each(ooh, try their lavendar lemonade, very refreshing) and shared a Quattro Formaggio with(added) basil. The ricotta dabs were perfectly matched to the garlicky goodness — also it was not too much cheese to be soggy, but enough to be generous. My husband makes his own pizza so can attest to the difficulty of making a good, thin crust at altitude, he said it was perfection and he wished he could make pies like these ! Very very friendly service by both employees — wish we lived closer, we would be regulars as there were many other pizzas that looked good too.

Nothing fancy — a long counter, some tables, a lot of open floor space. But notice: the guy turning the pizza dough by hand. Notice: the cleanliness of the entire place. Notice: the smiles and attention you get when you walk in. We grabbed ours to go, but we could have eaten there and been very comfortable. It would have been smart to call the order in, as everything is made when you ask for it — nothing sitting around under a heat lamp — and quality takes a little extra time. We got the Salsiccia, mushrooms, kalamata, ricotta, Keller’s sausage, yum, and a gorgonzola side salad. Plenty of food for two people. While we waited we had the lavender lemonade. It was the best, most refreshing lemon drink I’ve ever had. It wasn’t all lemony and sweet — it was a subtle lemon water with a hint of sweetness and a perfect balance of lavender. I had a refill, can’t deny it. If I’m in the area I might stop in just for the drink. I’m going to try the pesto calzone next time, it looks delicious — pesto, mozzarella, roasted chicken and green chile. I’m also looking to add some pine nuts and artichokes to my pizza next time I go there. Can’t believe I have lived in ABQ for a year and half and hadn’t had Firenze Pizza in all that time. I’ve got some making up to do.

Excellent wood oven pizza. The crust was thin and the crust is crispy and had just the right amount of toppings. The pizza was served quick and the service was friendly and inviting. I tried the basil mint tea and loved it. Their menu is pretty extensive and has a lot of variety. Next time I will be sure to try the wild mushroom pizza and lavender lemonade. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend this place.

So we call it «Downtown». Sure, it’s down in the middle of town. But is it truly Downtown? As far as Albuquerque is concerned, we still don’t have Downtown. We have a place with a lot of businesses and a fair smattering of places to live and sip coffee and party and dine, but we’re missing something big: a grocery store. I keep hearing something is coming, but I haven’t seen it. In the meantime, we have a plethora of cool spots to satiate our hunger. Add Firenze to the list. Firenze doesn’t deliver, that’s a downer. But for the residents of our aching downtown populace, Firenze cooks up a pretty decent rounder. No beer/wine options, but I’m sure they’re looking into it. Adjacent to Java Joe’s, this is another important inhabitant for the downtown scene and the options are rather inspired, the Salciccia measured up. My overall take: eat this stuff immediately. It simply doesn’t satisfy in the microwave a few hours later, which can be said for most artisan pies. The website offers a decent description of the variety you’ll find here, including some sweet gluten-free options, so I’ll let this describe what I tasted. It’s a good spot for kids, too. And the dangling twinkly lights add a fair flair for ambiance. From the website: «Our pizza is not exactly thin crust and not exactly NY style, but somewhere in between. Our dough is house made with a few simple ingredients and always hand stretched. We use only the freshest, mostly organic ingredients and we source local when possible. Our ‘Market Specials’ are made with ingredients from local farms and purveyors.» Organic. Local. Hand-stretched. I’m down.
