Alas! A fast food burger that is actually palatable. This location in particular, though in a relatively sketchy location, is very clean. There was no wait, which was great. We were able to place our order right away. The food was prepared quickly. I very much enjoy their burgers. The meat is thin, so that the spices and seasonings are saturated throughout the meat during preparation. The buns are fluffy and buttery. The vegetables are extremely fresh. The onions especially, are very potent and crunchy. Don’t plan on kissing your significant other after having these onions! Their meals come with a huge amount of fries. Definitely couldn’t get through even half of them. They have a VERY diverse dessert menu. Everything from sundaes, to ice cream cones. I appreciate their fast food, without that bland fast food taste.

My second time here, and this time we dined inside. You can tell they’re aiming for that 50s malt shop feel, a la In-n-Out, but In-n-Out they’re not! Though to clarify, it’s been many years now since I’ve eaten at In-n-Out & I hear they’re slipping a bit these days. But I digress. Though it’s not on the menu, I heard you can order a triple, and that I did. A triple California style, and yes, they wowed me a bit more! It was really good! My wife ordered a double patty melt, and obviously I had to try it, and it wasn’t too shabby! The main glitch still remains though, their fries blow A$$! Fries came with my daughter’s hot dog, and though her young palate was OK with them, I just can’t go there. I ordered onion rings with mine, and quite frankly, they blew A$$ too. So there you have it, if their side items were better, they’d get an easy 5 stars from me, but until that happens, I just can’t do it! Sorry! But if you’re a cheeseburger aficionado like I am, order a triple California style, you’ll like it!

Been here twice. Their cheeseburger’s great tasting. The fries are thinly cut, I like it but not everyone in my family does. Must be a preference. All their frozen desserts taste yummy. A favorite is the pumpkin pie concrete.

It’s difficult to review fast food compared to sit down restaurant’s but this place is one of the better burger joints around. Also i have to say I really like the fries here. I’m not usually a fan of crispy fries and in face at other places I won’t eat them… I think they add some of Heisenberg’s special ingredient into the seasoning. The burgers are as good as you’d expect from a place like 5 guys. Better than the major chains and in my opinion, better than Blake’s or Whataburger which generally top out my fast food burger joint expectations. If you’re looking for a burger that’s «Not McDonald’s» give this place shot.

Love this place! Burgers are always fresh and tasty. And they have the best customer service for fast food. I’m glad they built one near me!

SOGOOD! This place has amazing burgers! The custard is good too. My only complaint would be their customer service from the front counter staff. They are rude with absolutely no sense of humor.

YESPLEASE!!! This place has some yummy desserts! We don’t go there for the burgers or fries so I’m not reviewing those. My eye(shouldn’t it be eyes?) is on the(ice cream) prize. I love the turtle one(who doesn’t love pecans?!) and my son loves the vanilla one. Anything with vanilla and he’s sold, so he’s not a great judge lol. It doesn’t help that it’s right by our new pad. This place is going to be our new dessert drive thru. Plus the people that work there are pretty nice. Drive thru and get some dessert!

Good food, but I don’t like those skinny pencil fries. Staff was friendly and service was fast.

Burgers were tasty. Fries are good. The food takes about ten minutes from ordering to be ready. My son likes this place. This is not diet food, unless you only want to eat once or twice a day. This is not the place when you are being diligent about calorie counting. That being said, you can just eat the meat and veggies and a few fries and not ruin your count for the day. I have been to a couple of these stores and they usually have good parking. They try to keep the store clean, but could do better. Self serve ketchup + tiny paper cups = long lines at the condiment/drink/flatware counter. Best to get your ketchup before your order is ready or your fries may get cold while you are in the ketscup line. These fries only only good hot, and they lose their heat quickly, so eat them quickly as your fries are subject to Newtons’s Law of Cooling.

Fast food is hard to review in my opinion because the bar is already set pretty low while at the same time, there is likely an upper-limit to the experience. Still. Freddy’s Frozen Custard was pretty darn good. A pretty simple and straight-forward menu greeted you as you entered. For lunch, the place was abuzz with people and pretty hectic but they seemed to have it under control. The line was long but moved. This was clearly a step up from the national burger chains(eg, McDonalds, Burger King, etc) but still had a classic fast-food feel. I ordered a patty melt that was pretty well put together, though it didn’t hold together well. The burger patty was pretty good. It looked like they use a smash-burger type technique to build a nice crust. I think I would have preferred a bit less grease but at least it tasted like it was freshly made(with a wait-time commiserate with that being the case). The fries were also pretty food. Smaller cut than McDonalds but not shoe-string, they were well salted but benefited even more with the addition of the seasoning near the«fry-sauce»(which tasted like thousand island). I didn’t have the custard but reports from others at the table were positive. I don’t usually choose burger fast-food(this was chosen by others) but if I were ever in the mood, I would head back here.

Freddy’s is even better than my favorite nostalgic steakburger place back home(Steak and Shake) — but shh, don’t tell them or my high school friends. That Freddy’s sauce is what keeps me going back. Similar to the sauce from In-N-Out, and much like any thousand island/mac sauce kind of thing, but a little less tart, which I prefer. I’ve always gotten the California Double which is topped with my fave sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. The steakburger is much flatter than a regular burger and jam packed with flavor. The french fries that come alongside(if you get the combo) are skinny little strings of golden fried perfection(if made right). Dip those in that Freddy’s fry sauce and boom! Or, if you’re feeling funky fresh, dip it in your delicious custard shake! Mmm. I had one with reese’s peanut butter cups and it was fantastic. The custard is so good though, that the less rich your toppings are, the better I think. You want to be able to taste and admire the creamy sweetness of the custard alone. I ordered a chili cheese dog and I wasn’t crazy about it. The chili was average, not a huge punch of flavor, and the cheese was just a sprinkle of shredded cheese not melted in. Maybe I was expecting a different kind of cheese. I guess I figure if you’re really in the mood for a hot dog, it definitely hits the spot! But I’d prefer to stick to burgers here. OH. Big selling point for me: CODEREDMTNDEWONTAP! Haha… a part of the fountain soda. You don’t see that anywhere anymore!!! Did you realize that I’m a Code Red fanatic yet? Sheesh. That little tidbit will have me rolling in there for those Code Red Fountain Soda cravings alone. They’ve made themselves a life long friend. Go check out the cute old timey décor; and for goodness sakes, Eat Concrete!(their name for their blizzards: P)

It’s hard enough to find a veggie burger in Albuquerque at all, let alone a good one. Freddy’s burger is pretty decent. My mom loves their steak burgers and patty melts as well. The custard is super yummy and goes perfectly with the fries, which are always served hot. People may complain about the wait time, but everything is made to order, which is worth the wait for me.

I love this place. First time I went to Freddy’s I had an amazing experience. The food quality is top notch. The burgers are bigger than the bun size, as a man saying this that is my kind of burger. The fries were just like in and out burger, which I love to death. When I got my custard they had thought I had said the turtle. I did not since I am allergic to pecans. I told them the allergy and not only did they replace the turtle custard, but they washed everything that involved in the steps of making the custard and gave me the one I ordered. Seeing the effort they made to make sure I was safe to eat my ice crème. I will come back because of the awesome customer service and oh yeah the food was great too.

This location is much faster than the one off of paseo. Their food is pretty consistent. I have been to this location twice once during lunch and it was crazy busy but still was able to get my food pretty quick. The second time was during the dinner hour. Still Crazy busy but was in and out and on way!!! Great choice for location. The only issue is the acoustics in the restaurant are not well and it is over the top loud. I am ok with some noise in a restaurant, but when I have to yell to have a conversation it’s a little crazy.

FOOD Decent fries(the super-skinny kind, which I like), and the burgers are the smashed– flat greasy style. DESSERT Although not the *best* frozen custard I’ve ever had, it is good enough to satisfy a cold-dessert craving and the portions are very generous. I would recommend this as an alternative to fast food places when you want both hot and cold treats. Service is friendly even if a bit slower than regular fast food.

First impressions: very busy place that gets your order out quick for hoe many people were there. Custard was good as well as the patty melt and burger. Fries were just right. Secondary impression: spent the while night miserable and in the bathroom. Not sure what happened, but it was both me be my husband. On Valentine’s no less. Hence the two. Good taste, good service, misery afterward.

Haters gunna hate hate hate hate hate! This place is legit. The California double burger is always fresh and yummy. I order the number 6 and it always fills me up. Freddie’s is also known for their fry sauce and custard. You can get it mixed in which is called a concrete or you can get it sundae style. I recommend dropping in and trying them out. I just scored a free Dirt ‘n worms Sundae and I’m excited to try it. Most of all the employees are kind and helpful.
