I was so excited about using Gatherings to help in ordering our wedding invitations! I went in during the earlier part of the week & met with a very friendly woman that let me browse the catalogs of possible choices. I had already looked online & knew which albums I was interested in checking out, so that was helpful. She filled out an information sheet that had my favorites written on them & she allowed me to take pictures with my phone to share with my fiancé. After looking on the website more throughout the week, we returned together on the following Saturday with all the details to place our order. I had printed out the information & took it in with us to make the process go quickly. I admit we were cutting it close to the end of business as they close at 5:00 on Saturdays & we arrived at about 4:45 — however, I had EVERYTHING with us! When I explained to the 2 ladies at the store what we needed, they exchanged glances & told me they didn’t think we had enough time to get everything done before they would be closing. I showed her I had everything written down & knew the book — page number, colors, item codes, font styles, etc. she said we could start the process but she knew it would take longer than the time they had. She asked us to return on another day! For heavens sake — were they planning to prepare the order with a tablet of stone, a chisel & hammer!!! I only needed to order 50 invitations! After we were turned away I was able to find the invitations online from a stationary company in Washington. I placed my order online & received the invitations in less than a week! Now THAT is customer service!!! I will not return to Gatherings & will tell anybody I know to definitely NOT use them!

Ok, let me start with saying that I walked into Gatherings to kill time waiting for a friend I was having lunch with. So, the fact that I found the best Birthday card EVER and had to buy it, was testament to the great selection of cards, stationary, and other cool sundries that they had. It looks like their bread and butter is wedding invitations, and my guess is they probably do a great job, based on the few samples I saw.
