Theresa at the cut table was cussing about the mayor of Rio Rancho while cutting fabric today, right in front of a bunch of children. When will though get some professional help here? Ridiculous

I have been frequenting Joann’s for the past 3 years about once or twice a week. I don’t ever feel the need to write a review because generally you know what you are going to get. I have to say I always enjoy my visits here. The employees that work here are always so nice and cheerful, even the cranky lady and I have conversations about knitting:) I love it! The yarn selection is really great and bonus they always, always have coupons. The employees are always willing to let you use multiple coupons from different stores and don’t raise a fuss about it. Sometimes they even give me little tips or tricks to get a better deal. I always leave here with what I need for a good price!

Staff was helpful and suggested that I go online on my phone to find coupons, saved about $ 18!

Your typical Jo Ann Fabrics. These stores have an average selection of arts and crafts and the stores are all a little run down. Unfortunately I didn’t find what I was looking for… a birthday iron on for a two year olds Bday. Staff are always a little rough to track down to ask for help too.

Not the most helpful staff and we were left standing with no one answering the cut numbers… It was not pleasant

A stranger in a foreign land. I was set out on a trek to find 2 spools of ribbon — specific type and colors. I walked in and within a minute a very friendly young lady welcomed me and offered assistance. I was very grateful. After telling her what I needed and what it was for, she walked me to the ribbon aisle. Thankfully, she also started hunting through the hundreds of spools looking for just what I needed. Fortunately, they had one of the spools I needed, but did not have the quantity of the second. She quickly then searched the computer system to locate it at other stores and called ahead. At check out, another very kind lady greeted me and after inquiring about my purchase, wanted to verify that I was getting the right length of ribbon that I needed. She didn’t need to do this – she just could have rang it up and sent me on my way. Her professionalism exhibited a rare desire to make sure that the customer was cared for. She walked me to the cutting table and then specifically measured the ribbon to ensure it was in fact a full spool and the correct length. She then walked me back to the registers. I was frankly blown away by the great customer service at this store and give it my highest recommendation!

Jo-Ann Fabrics is a fun place to look around and think about crafts you want to do — if you were ever going to actually do a craft. ;) I always think it would be fun to do a bunch of different crafts, and then I go look at the different pieces involved, and decide it’s too much work and wisely do not spend the money on it, since I know it will just sit in a bag and never get done, and then I will have to listen to my husband pestering me about it. But if I were going to do all those fun and cool crafts — I would buy a lot of that stuff at Jo-Ann. What I do buy at Jo-Ann is Christmas and other holiday stuff. They get great Christmas stuff, and you do have to sort through the crappy stuff to find the gems, but they are there! Plus, after the holiday in question is over, they go on sale like crazy! Whatever good stuff is left is awesome and cheap! Occasionally I do need some fabric for something and Jo-Ann is my go-to for that. And it is really fun to just go there and look around if you have 30 minutes to kill and see what little projects you might want to think about doing. Someone more DIY-minded than myself might actually even do them! This particular Jo-Ann is a tiny bit ghetto — needs to be cleaned a little more often, and the staff could be a little less grumpy. I’ve been to many a Jo-Ann that feels far more upscale than this one, so it’s a little disappointing. It’s kinda cold and KMart-ish, rather than the warm, inviting, scented atmosphere at other shops. But the stuff is the same, so while I am less inclined to go there just for fun, they do deliver when needed.
