The Good: Where to begin? Amazing tennis courts, tons of them, well maintained. Two public racquetball courts! A fire station next door: during big events the staff sometimes bring out the truck and hose the kids. A building to host events. Several long grassy fields for sport. A SHADEDPLAYGROUND!(Cottonwood trees, but they do the trick.) Widest bucket seat radius in the city. Tire swing and regular swings. Benches for parents. Large big kid play structure. The Bad: Tire swing is kinda lame-o. Black widow spotted beneath the play structure on two occasions(a reality in NM but come on, this is Los Ranchos, the«too good for Montaño or Paseo» ‘hood). Structure not good for kids 18 months or younger, and requires close supervision a while thereafter. Crappy cell phone reception on Sprint often means dropped calls. The Verdict: When the kid is old enough, this is a gem. Amazing what a little shade can do, alongside a neighborhood association who cares.
