I stopped here tonight because the shop I normally go to had just closed and I needed some juice. I had been to High Desert Vapes before and thought the juice was moderate at best, but I was in a spot where I had nowhere else to go and thought I’d give them another shot. I got out of the car and tried the front door to the shop, but it was locked. All the lights inside were on, so I double checked the sign next to the door to see when they closed — 8pm. I looked at my phone and saw they actually had about 45 minutes until closing, so I tried knocking. Right away a lady opened the door and told me they were indeed closed and that they locked the doors at 8. Confused, I told her what time it was — 7:15. Instead of double checking the time and realizing her mistake, she said, quite condescendingly, «No, you’re mistaken,» and proceeded to shut the door. I didn’t know what else to do but laugh. She could have turned the situation around and had this be a funny story for both of us, but instead she chose to exhibit a complete lack of customer service and common courtesy. Next time I’ll stick with my other shop where, and I never knew this would be a virtue, they know how to tell time. I won’t be back to High Desert.

This is the only place I’m town that I know of which sells DIY liquids(ie, VG, PG, Nicotine base, and flavor) to mix yourself(which I do because it’s cheaper and I can mix exactly how i want each time) as well as wire, wicking material, etc, to build and rebuild your own coils.(I admittedly haven’t tried a lot of the newer places in town that have opened more recently; there are just too many, it seems.) I’ve found their in-store prices to be just a bit above average, though they are often offering specials and routinely hook me up with little«bonus» freebies and samples. Their online prices are better, among the best, but I prefer to just drive down than order and wait for shipping. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and the physical store is very nice, spacious, and appealing. Definitely points for selection and harder-to-find items. Note that they’ve recently moved; they are now on Central near Morningside(not far from O’Niell’s on Central and Washington).

Great place for a large selection of vaping supplies. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the items that they sell, and have some of the best prices around for batteries, mechanical mods, and supplies for the DIY types. If you are looking for a cool drip tip, you will not find a better store to shop! They have a selection that beats any other store that I have ever gone into. They also have organic juice, which is a real plus for those looking to go the healthier route. Give these guys a try; you will not be disappointed.

It turns out that they do not stand behind their products. When I pointed out that one of my batteries was non-functional within weeks of purchase(and not having been used more than doing its initial charge) they simply sent me a link to their website with a return policy that said all consumable items were sold as-is. So, apparently, they feel they are able to sell junk and then wash their hands of all responsibility. Avoid this shop like the plague! Poor quality items and zero support when things inevitably go wrong.

Fantastic place for e-cigs. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the product. The juice is the best I’ve gotten yet!
