Imperial Inn Motel

This place is exactly what it is supposed to be– a $ 30-​a-​night downtown Central Avenue motel. I am not completely sure why my room reeked of stale piss. If you bring some incense and cigarettes, it is not so bad. Do not go to this place to party. The employees are vigilant beyond belief when ti comes to guests and activities.

i want to give this hotel NEGATIVE stars but i can’t
we stayed here for my 1 night, though actually we stayed there for not even the entire time. as soon as we checked in i was lied to. the sign said that the prices started at a little over $ 20, the ONLY reason why we would have stopped. we get there and ask to double check and it was over $ 40, we apparently got a deal because of AAA, which we later found out they don’t usually do.
upon checking in i didn’t get a good vibe from the room and we tried to get our money back for the room and were told that there was a $ 10 refund charge. we had been there for no more than $ 10 minutes, so that was BS in itself.
we then said fine, whatever we’re only gonna shower and sleep here so no big deal. we went out to the aquarium/​botanical gardens, and camek to take a nap before dinner.
after waking up i needed to shower before dinner, i looked in the shower and it was DISGUSTING and had MOLD GROWING IN IT i had stuck my head in to turn on the water so it got wet when i found this.
after seeing this i went downstairs to get my money back, because that is serious health concerns there. they would not do anything to help me, they wouldn’t give me a new room, they wouldn’t give me a free upgrade to a room with a micro and fridge, they most importantanly wouldn’t give me my money back.
i told the little boy at the counter that i was going to call the health dept (which i did the next day) and that i wanted to know when the manager was going to be in the next day, he said 10 o’clock. so we took our stuff, and went across the street, more like next door, to the MUCH MUCH MUCH nicer hotel and stayed there.
another thing about the hotel is that thye provided you with nothing! no shampoo, no ice, only 1 tiny little bar of soap. you could get ice for a quarter, little travel sized shampoos for who knows how much, and we didn’t try, but i’m sure the WIFI cost money.
do not give them business and encourage everyone you know to not go there either
