We showed up around 10:30am and the entrance was packed. I don’t know if it was good timing or they are just quick, but we were told 20 mins and were seated in 10 mins. The waitress was friendly but also efficient. The food took longer than we expected, as other that came in after us got seated and got their food before we got our food. Big group of several fire fighters and an older couple as examples. The food was delicious, I had biscuits and gravy(perfect) with eggs, and a pancake on the side, wife had the breakfast burrito and was pleased, daughter had an omelet and ate the whole thing. All for under $ 30 before tip. I would definitely make it back here anytime we are in the area.

This was close to my hotel in north Albuquerque. After reading all of the positive reviews online I gave it a try and am so glad I did. The atmosphere was nice and lively with a great mix of people from young families to the elderly. The service was very attentive, quick and full of smiles. I had the green chili veggie skillet and it was one of the best I ever had. Plenty of things on other peoples plates looked equally scrumptious. I recommend trying this place out.

One of my preferred breakfast spots in Albuquerque. Jimmy’s never disappoints on flavor or portion sizes. They have lots of menu options for everyone and quality specials too.

Holy Yum! I had the breakfast enchilada and it was fantastic. The price was on point and the portion was on point as well. The hashbrowns were the best I have ever tasted, and this is coming from a guy who doesn’t even like hashbrowns. They were very accommodating and allowed me to make a combination with three different meats and Christmas! The chicken enchilada was OK, I was happy that it was all white meat. The shredded beef was really delicious, and the carne adovada was also delicious as well. The red chile it was perfect, it wasn’t so scorching hot that you couldn’t tolerate it. The green chile did have a bit of a kick to it, the consistency was really interesting almost like a green chili corn starch thicken sauce. My server, destiny, was a total gem. She was super sweet and accommodating with my complex order. I would definitely recommend people who are interested in new Mexican cuisine to try this place!

After flying into Albuquerque for a morning meeting, a great New Mexico breakfast was just what I needed to kick start my day. I love that several menu items are available in small sizes so I left full but not stuffed. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Albuquerque.

I’m gonna hit you with the big five stars, Jimmy! My friend and I ordered some burritos from here for breakfast because naturally we were starving at our desks in the morning — we ordered over the phone and went in to pick them up. Good heavens above, and believe me when I say, portions are gigantic and beautiful and magnificent and smothered is THE.WAY.TO.GO! I got the Big Burrito for $ 9.49 and oh my gosh, it was huge. «HUUUUGE» in Donald Trump’s annoying voice. But seriously — smothered with Christmas and all the meats and cheeses inside that you can imagine. I added a side of beans to my order and I was not disappointed. Cheese on top, great texture, not too runny, flavorful like whoa. I was one happy and stuffed woman this morning — and had plenty to save for later too! My friend Jessica got the«Small» bacon breakfast burrito. HA! I laugh in the face of your definitions. In a good way though. But hey, if that’s their small, then I guess it’s safe to consider myself a size 0. Hahaha. The girl at the café was pleasant and quick and had loaded up with extra napkins and the sour cream I requested, and everything was just as it should be. I had a terrific experience and I will be back. Bring some friends to dine inside, next time perhaps. Those biscuits and gravy I saw chillin’ on someone’s table when I was there looked like they had«Danielle» written in cursive sausage… okay, «they had my name all over them» is where I was going with that. Give this place a try, fellow Unilocalers!

I first tried Jimmy’s at a work conference. I loved it. I brought my family and they loved it. I recommended it to my brother(a very critical eater) and he loved it. So I’d have to say this is one of my favorite places to eat when visiting Alb. Just get there early, especially on a Sunday. It fills up fast!

I went with my brother on a weekday morning for breakfast encouraged by the positive reviews here in Unilocal. I ordered the CHICKENFRIEDSTEAK and potatoes whih comes with eggs and toast or tortilla. My scrambled eggs were okay. I guees they left it for the customer to salt it to taste as it was very bland. I didn’t mind. My toast was not toasted enough but adequately buttered. When I ordered the fried steak, I thought I was gonna get it in one big piece(like the other breakfast places Ive been to). Instead, it was chopped up on top of a bed of fried, diced potatoes then covered with gravy on top. Then my scrambled egg on top of the pile. The bite-size pieces of the chicken fried steak were SPARSE(they were hard to identify and find in the pile of food) and tough. The gravy helped moisten it I guess. I felt like I was cheated of my money’s worth. I was very disappointed. :( My brother had better luck with his order. I forgot what it was called but he had the plate with ham, bacon, eggs, hash, and pancakes. He also had hot chocolate served in styrofoam cup. I thought they could do better than that! The food was okay, with okay portion. No leftover to take home. Hash needed more browning but the pancakes were yummy though. Im giving the food 2 stars, an extra star for a very nice server, Teddy. We tipped her well even though we weren’t really satisfied with the food. Too bad we liked the clean, country, old town ambience of the place. Most likely, we are not coming back. :(

Came here for first time during breakfast on Saturday. Surprised that it was busy but we were able to get a table right away. Pretty cool atmosphere with all the pics and posters of celebs named«Jim». I got the chile rellano omelet and it was great! The waitress warned us that the green chile was hot and it sure was a scorcher! I didn’t think a place like this would serve such hot chile?! So I was very satisfied with the experience. The waitress was good, food was great, and I think we found a new great breakfast joint that isn’t too far from home.

We came here after the Balloon Fiesta and I got the California Turkey with chipotle mayo on the side and WOW! My sandwich was so fresh and delicious! The service was a bit slow but everything was seriously so fresh. The guac in my sandwich was so good and fresh! Totally recommend that sandwich. I got it on white bread, a pickle spear and a salad. They gave us a cup a water before our meal and the cup was HUGE! The décor inside was very nice and clean. Modern with nice window lighting. The restroom had cute decors and very clean! Which is a plus!

Great food. Perfect place for some coffee and breakfast after a long morning of balloon crewing. Seemed like a lot of people were regulars and I don’t blame them. The hash browns were particularly good. Definitly a good place for breakfast

My first 3 dining experiences were 5 stars, my last 2 were 3 or 4. So I’m giving them a solid 4. The food is pretty damn tasty. Ordinary menu food items with just a little extra love added in the cooking process to make an extraordinary plate. Service, well, that is where things get bumpy. First few experiences were top notch. The restaurant is always busy, so a bit of a wait and hurried servers are expected. But at first our servers acted as if we were their only table and we were old friends. The last two times service pretty much sucked. we went in for today’s specials. A monte Christo and fish and chips. We waited for over 30 minutes for our food, only twice did our server come by in that time. Once apologizing for the wait. The food finally came and i was far too eager to eat to take a picture. The meals were both great. Fish nice and crispy. Tarter sauce was not house made which was a let dow, but still good. Green chile cream soup was pretty good. The chile had a bite to it. But it came out barely warm. The cinnabuns are delicious and cream cheesy! Chile is tasty but could stand to use some more heat. We will be back, and soon I’m sure. The pizza looks amazing.

This is a pretty solid place for breakfast with a very interesting interior décor. The service was good and we were seated right away after arriving on a Saturday at 7am. The dish I got was the breakfast enchiladas with Carne adovada which came with two eggs, some of the best hash Browns I’ve ever had, beans, as well as some lettuce/tomatoes and the well reviewed, green chile. The green chile has good flavor to it and definitely includes a kick as well while the hash Browns were fried to crispy perfection while still being soft on the inside. The enchiladas themselves were pretty tasty with a tender pork inside of corn tortillas that were topped with the green chile and cheese. I would definitely recommend this place!

Jimmy’s B’fast — *excellent, tasty green chile — not much heat, but creamy and flavorful *many choices, New Mexican and not *open early(6:30am on weekdays/7am on weekends) *weekday b’fast specials *trivia bonus — Can you think of a famous Jim/James/Jimmy/Jamie/Jiminy that’s not featured on the memorabilia packed walls?
