Lorenco’s Salon

This place is awesome. The salon is bright and clean and just has a good atmosphere. Kurt did an amazing job on my hair! He cut over 15inches off and completely changed up my hairstyle. He was super nice and friendly throughout the whole process and my hair turned out awesome! I love it! Will definitely be coming back for him!

I used to really like my stylist at Lorencos but ever since they moved, they have been rushing me through. The appointment isn’t booked for long enough to do highlights, cut and style on long hair so my stylist has to rush and the quality suffers. I’ve asked the receptionist (who’s a snot btw!) to please schedule the appt for longer than 2 hours because I have lots of long hair and the highlights take a long time but she refuses despite the fact that I’ve explained the issue multiple times. I’m now looking for a new stylist and won’t be going back because of three bad haircuts and highlight jobs. I think they’re trying to push through more customers and pay for their new salon because this was never a problem before. Sorry to leave the guy I’ve been going to for the last 6 years, but I can’t have any more bad hair cuts because the salon’s in a hurry…

Not your typical hair salon, Cindy does permanent makeup BEAUTIFULLY, for those women out there in the Q that are still painting on spermatozoid looking brows, do yourself a favor and have Cindy create beautiful brows. The new salon is stunning. The hairstylists have a bohemian vibe, and they seem to cater to women with longer hair
(David still wears his hair in the 80’s rocker bohemian style) although I did see many elderly women from back in the day that get their hair and egos rocked by David.

Lorencos has moved and do did Michael!
Best location of all! Stylish décor easy access. Michael is a very talented colorist, if you want fabulous color he is the man to see!

I’m really struggling with writing this review. The salon is really nice and my hair cut was good (probably more like 4 stars for the salon), but my stylist was very bristly. I felt like I was inconveniencing her by being there. She kept answering her phone and text messaging while she was cutting my hair and kept mentioning that she was going to be late to Zozobra. I felt bad keeping her and I don’t like to feel like I’m inconveniencing someone when I’m paying $ 50 for a haircut. She was also just not very friendly, no smiles, no real, friendly conversation… I feel like I got her to warm up to me a little bit by the end of the appointment by making self deprecating jokes and being sickly sweet to her, but really I don’t want to have to work at getting someone to be nice to me. A feel like stylists, a customer-​facing position, need to have good customer service skills. Anyway, it may just have been an off day for her, but I rarely get time by myself to do anything for myself and I was in desperate need of a good haircut and a little pampering and I left feeling stressed and disappointed. I probably won’t be back and hopefully, it was just a bad day for her and she’s more friendly to her other clients.

Visiting from California and needed a haircut for a business meeting. Went to Lorenco’s and stylist Mike Nolting gave me one of the best haircuts I have had in many years. Mike did a great great job and the salon was clean with plenty of parking. I use Unilocal often and want to take the time to write this review.

I see Mark there who cuts and colors my hair. Very consistent, stylish. I know one more person who sees him for few years now. New locations is great!

Mike N. from Lorenco’s recently gave me a beautiful Sassoon style classic bob. I have received a ton of complements. The hair fall perfect anyway I style it. Mike was great, very attentive and the best blow dry and flat iron ever! If you want the best Bob in Albuquerque go see Mike.

I bought a groupon or living social thing for this place. Never going back. It’s dirty (ex. there’s hair on some of the «clean» robes you’re supposed to change into! seems like they don’t really clean/​wash them…).
IDK what hair color/​dying products they use… but it smelled like the stuff you could buy from the drugstore. Should have done that in the first place. ended up coloring over the highlights (which were supposed to be a nice caramely color, looked more orangey/​cooper) a couple weeks later.
